Just imagine if they took darktide inside an Imperium warship in the BFGothic Armada II. You're purging an infestation trying to recover the ship and suddenly either warp rifts spew daemons or get torpedo boarded and all hell breaks loose. Fun. Pretty much like that WH40K RPG on Steam but FPS.
I think the closest we'll get is deathwing.

Regarding the voice actor thing, I think Steve Blum is another good example of, "only seeing the actor". The amount of times he would be character in a game and the instant anyone hears him it's almost always, "Yes Steve Blum" "Whatever you say Steve Blum"
This is an absolute mood. Especially when I learned his range I'm just like "Yep that's Steve Blum". This happens with Gianni as well his voice is just too obvious
That game at 25.00 - its IXION and its awesome, like frostpunk in space levels of brutal, and the music mmmmmm yeah
I still want a Necromunda train level in Darktide. Going from end to end would be so cool as a team of 4.

Regarding lasgun sounds, I always imagined it depending on the pattern in question. IE the Lucius pattern used by the death korp of krieg sounds different to kantrael patterns used by cadians

In terms of power scaling, where things are now, a Beast of Nurgle is a more dangerous boss than a Space Marine. I had one in a recent game slowly chew through an entire ten-man squad of Tactical Marines and a drop pod by himself, no support of any kind.
If you're talking TableTop then powerscaling is the least accurate xD If it were accurate then Custodes would be banned from the game and Eldar D Weapons would one shot everything again

Come on Linus from LTT on the 40K universe would lead a major faction of the orcs on a massive Waaaagh. He's got it all, the paint/RGB makes it go faster the "wing it" mentality and janky contraptions!

I personally believe that the Psykers are a bit heretical fits perfect if you see the Inquisitor using them as part of the radical group, the group that is okay with using daemon weapons or alien technology because as long as something serves the Imperium, regardless of what it is it is useful.
On the power scaling I personally only think the Zealot is a bit out of place, as they usually are just cannon fodder in lore, like rabble that got turned into mad suicidal maniacs with no combat training or self preservation instinct.
The Veteran would be next on the list but he is WAY above the zealot in Lore, fear the old in a profession where people die young.
He is probably called a veteran because he lost the previous rank he had and I believe it to be at least Sargent, maybe even Lieutenant or Captain.
Ogryn and Psyker are a toss up, if a psykter is strong enough to channel warp energy to kill the Ogryn then yes, but if the psyker can't the psyker will just die and if the psyker can't do it fast enough he will also die. There is a mention of Ogryns getting similar armor to what spacemarines wear, just without the servos because Ogryns don't need help carrying it and those Ogryns were more effective than Space marines in frontal assaults.
Necromunda hired gun was great few critical points wished it was longer still have few questions. And the big one WHERE WAS HOUSE CAWDOR I WANT MY RELIGIOUS NUTJOBS BUILDING THINGS OUT OF SCRAP
I've had the Ixion soundtrack on loop for a bit. Just amazing.
I love the plastic toy rattle noise the lasgun makes. Reminds me of the plastic he-man sword I had as a child and how it would rattle when you would hit stuff.
The one who carries Plank the Plank is Johnny Twobyfour, thats his actual last name cause of how often it is said in episodes.
I like what Bricky mentions with psyker cosmetics, but it would be going against the lore if it did go ahead- any psyker with noticeable mutations would immediately earn a Boltgun round through the forehead from the nearest Imperial authority.

1.) that plank from Ed, edd & Eddie. Memorable
2.) Ethan the Droid. Who wouldn't like Ethan from infinite warfare? Equally memorable

I still think only the third Ogryn has the Bone implant, he mentions having it while the first one says he wants it so he can think better. The second one just seems like average angry Ogryn having fun killing lil things.
As to which ed edd and eddy character would be a good zealot that would hands down be Sarah because holy shit the things she would do for Jimmy.

I never played any Warhammer game, but as a metal guy, to hear these soundtracks having no guitar or anything and still sound heavy as fuck proves it's possible to make dark and dramatic ass shit with dope rhythm that leaves you with a broken neck.
Wait, what if the creators of Doom 2016 and Eternal made a Warhammer game? I feel like they would have by now, but for anybody reading this, if they haven't, maybe they should.

I never played Infinite Warfare, but it should have been a new IP to justify being so far from COD. Just like how people hate GOW4 and Ragnarok because they aren't GOW1-3, some people hate change, and I can respect that.
Speaking on the power scaling, the Zealot is actually not terrible even if not as potentially powerful as the Psyker or physically tough as the Ogryn. They've definitely got a little bit of that Sister of Battle Faith powers, their Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude literally knocks down enemies and amps your teammates up enough to tank what would be killing blows.
Oh man, you really should check out Einar Selvik's stuff because that man creates absolute EXPERIENCES in his albums. Wardruna (his group) is also pretty damn popular and for good reason. Really recommend you give him a listen because his work on AC is but a taste of what he can do.

I'm afraid death guard in darktide would be out of the question. Even with a psyker and an Ogryn, it wouldn't be a fair fight for the "rejects".
I mean on tabletop, a command squad of 4 veteran guardsmen with 4 Lasguns has a low chance at killing a Space Marine :) But upgrade their weapons to plasmaguns they can do some damage ;)

I could see a boss fight against a death guard working if for a large portion of the mission we're doing stuff that significantly weakens him to a point where we can actually manage our own. It should still be a very challenging spectacle of a fight, though.

my issue with darktide still is that when you play with rands 3/4 times you wipe because theres always 2-3 players that are severely underlevelled, and when you finally get a good party and game it crashes to desktop. this is already just accepting the fact that disconnects are still a thing. at least the system is good enough to reload you back into the same game tho

I think it’s perfectly fine if they add plague marines into the game. We are playing as inquisitorial acolytes after all and based on the Dawn of Fire novels, they can take on space marines no problem
