      I would say one of the big things if you want to do stuff on campus is to follow the "faustudentunion" and "sgatfau" Instagram page! There are some stuff that you won't want to do but sometimes like this past semester Flo Rida came and the only way I knew that and was able to sign me and my friends up before the tickets sold out was by following those pages and turning on the post notifications.

      Hello! Yes the gym on campus is open you just have to go on owlrec.fau.edu to schedule a time to go in, you can also sign up for gym classes on that website!

    Hey! So I’m going to FAU in the fall, I was just wondering how you pay your bills, like meal plans and dorm? Is it like a monthly rent type of situation?

    • @madznsab
      @madznsab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hia! So you pay at the end of each semester all at one for both dorm and meal plan, the same time you pay tuition. They wait to have you pay till all your scholarships and bright futures and all that comes in.

    Hey, I’m gonna be an exchange student for 2023-2024, what housing on campus could I get please? Also one where I can cook if I want to or go to the dining hall if I want to if that’s possible. Also is there any funding I could avail of to help me financially for the year please?

    Fot the flex bucks, is it like for example: you get starbucks and it costs $3, does it take $3 from your flex bucks lr does it take 1 away being that you used it once? ahh idk if that makes sense!

    • @madznsab
      @madznsab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No that makes sense, it takes $3 away so basically you have a set budget that you can spend :) hope that helps!

    I do have questions about fau, does I have to pay something to go to the beach that is close to the campus? And is innovation village apartments good? When can I move in to there?

    • @madznsab
      @madznsab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! The pavilion beach thats right by school you can almost always find free street parking. I’ve heard that innovation is very nice and everyone I know that lives their likes it a lot. As far as I know you have to be sophomore and up to live their but I would call housing to confirm. There where some freshman that lived their this year but that was only since rules where lifted due to covid, so I would call housing to see what the rules will be this year.

    Hi 👋🏼 I wanted to know if I schedule my classes like 10 min apart would I be able to walk from class to class. Cause the shuttles seem more like around the outer parts of the campus not really inside. Does that imply on campus is walking distance?

    • @madznsab
      @madznsab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, thank you so much for the question! You definitely would be able to make it, you might speed walk a little but I have friends that only have 10 mins between class and they make it just fine. Also yes shuttles are more the perimeter of campus and to be honest I have never used them.

    • @samihiga5968
      @samihiga5968 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@madznsab I’ve been on campus for a while now. I agree that from one end to another the campus is max 30 min speed walking. And the shuttles are mainly for transport to the train station or dorms if you need.

    Hey! I plan on going to FAU for Fall 2021. What are the best dorms for incoming freshman ranking best to worst? Most convenient, close to everything, etc. I heard that Parliament isn’t the best because of its location and size of room even though it’s newer.

    • @madznsab
      @madznsab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for the question! Let me go into some detail about what I know about each dorm.
      Heritage: very close to dining hall and breezeway (where the restaurants and some classes are), limited parking, no single rooms, doubles are larger, less washing machines, older building.
      Glades: close to dining hall and breezeway (where the restaurants and some classes are), limited parking , no single rooms, doubles are larger, older building.
      Parliament: Far from the dining hall and the breezeway (where the restaurants and some classes are), lots of parking, lots of single rooms, doubles are smaller, more washing machines, newer building, gym, computer lab, connected to the theatre lab.
      Glades and Heritage are definitely closer to everything if that’s important for you.
      Let me know if I can give you any more information!

      Hey, so I'm a current freshman here at fau, and I live in Glades Park Towers. There are single rooms here, there's just usually single & double rooms all in one suite. Same for heritage. IRT, which is both freshman & upperclassmen dorms which is close to everything, has a front room area, and has double or single room options. They're building a new building that will be done in fall, but apparently its for us upcoming sophomores. Overall gpt, and hpt are cheaper, and still good theres not much difference except parliament and irt is nicer, and more expensive but parliment is farther from everything, and irt your suitemates or roommates may be upperclassmen. If you want to get the cheapest option, i'd say gpt is the best and if you don't mind spending a little more IRT is a good option as well. Parliament if you'll be commited to that walk to get to everything hope this helped.
