    I’ve been using a pair of these on my SmallHD Cine 5, and they are great! They seem to last forever, and I have not run into any power issues. However, I did drop one of them out of my bag once, and onto a wooden desk. Maybe a one foot drop at most (~30cm). I noticed a small crack in the housing. It may be a great value, but its build leaves a bit to be desired. I have wrapped the battery housings in a 3M heavy duty clear tape, and at least now they feel like they can handle a two foot drop. Asides from this, the battery is very good, though I am switching to a Core SWX NanoX V-mount to balance my rig better, and lighten my monitor. If I want to shoot more compact I will put one on my monitor, mounted directly to my camera cage. Two of these on the monitor make it pretty heavy. And I can also use these to recharge my mobile devices when I’m not shooting, like when camping with the family.

    I used to use similarly sized batteries until I eventually got annoyed enough with the weight causing my monitor to flop around and move and just get in the way that I got a Smallrig battery plate with DC and PD out -- I mount the battery and plate to the camera and use an Atomos battery eliminator for the monitor and USB for the camera. I find it keeps everything much better balanced. Even on the FX6, I switched to BPU batteries with integrated dtap so I could also run a battery eliminator with that rigs Shinobi because the huge batteries on the monitor were driving me nuts.

    ive been using these kinda batteries for years and they are simply amazing. I have it behind the screen on the 15mm rails with a dummy battery in the camera. works so well

    I have been using a similar setup but using the ZILR batteries instead. I would get a right angle USB-C adapter so the cable doesn’t stick up in the air coming out of the battery. Or maybe a right angle cable that is also shorter and more manageable. For shoots where you may still need v-mount maybe consider Kondor Blues’s d-tap to usb c power delivery cable.

      Funny you mention it, just received my Kondor Blue PD cable this week!

    Why not use an NPF adapter? That saves you from having to insert cables continuously and makes it so you have less cluttered cables. Also having the battery in the back instead of on top makes the balance of the camera seemingly, alot more stable

      I'll look into it. Any NPF adapter in particular that you suggest?

      also aren't u able to just articulate the screen outwards when u need to adjust the settings?

      Yeah, or you could leave it facing outwards. All up to personal preference

    Hoping to see little better price on these soon 🤞🤞 my knock-off NPs have PD and work fine for charging my Canon while powered off, but doesn’t power the camera nor trickle charge it while it’s on 😭
    Thanks for the vid 👌

      I think it’s fairly priced. Way cheaper than vmount batteries. Maybe on Black Friday

    It is said that if you use one battery together with a monitor and camera, the HDMI terminal can sometimes burn, is that okay?
    For example, blackmagic cameras do.

      I cannot confirm this to be true but it’s worked for me so far. I also think good quality cables help mitigate this risk

    What do you think of this battery four months later? There are complaints about quality and how much power they actually deliver.

    For me Vmount batt setup looks a lot cleaner and more professional. your npf set of just a mess with those cables hanging around, wish you can have shorter cables nexttime. but yeah for me vmount is a cleaner set up and has good weigh balance to your rig.

    • @jamesbriones1522
      @jamesbriones1522 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      oh sorry, your vmount batt is not small rig. I thought it was.. if it were smallrig it would be better

    • @mick0matic
      @mick0matic 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jamesbriones1522 lol no it wouldnt, it'd be about the same. This setup would look alot cleaner if he used an NPF adapter, that would make the functionality of the npf battery similar to Vmount but still in a smaller form-factor.

    Does this deliver “PD power” via USB-C?

  • @TheTechnoPilot
    @TheTechnoPilot ปีที่แล้ว

    To be clear your description of mAh and Wh is unfortunately incorrect.
    MAh doesn’t come close to properly describing how long or how much power it can supply because without voltage this tells you nothing. Wh is THE number describing total battery capacity and how long it will last based on knowing your total wattage draw. To know the peak power your battery can supply you need to know its max amperage output not mAh or Wh.
    Also a serious question with your V-mount setup…why are you attaching an additional arca plate to the bottom of a cage with a built in arca plate? You mention your stack height being a disadvantage but that massively would reduce this if you dropped the superfluous plate.

    Sooo to replace The VMount Plate u need a Monitor like the Ninja,
    Why not just get a Small Rig Vb-99 or 212? 🤣 🤣

    • @WorkVibeGame
      @WorkVibeGame  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don't need the Ninja to remove the v-mount plate, it just worked for my needs. There are NPF battery plate mounts available as well
