I can't believe they went to the extra effort of sculpting a molded tow cable on the front when they had an existing working tow cable sculpt from the first jeep they could have used. especially as it was jeep 12 and Nedry that use the cable in the movie!
Absolutely, there is so much Lost World sets they could do. I want to see Malcolm, Sarah, Kelly, Nick, Eddie, and some of the hunters like Roland. Plus those sweet Ingen hunting vehicles!
Great review. I can live without the red stripe, but it's a shame there's no working winch, since this was the scene in the movie where the winch was used.
Oh wow I didn’t realize the SDCC Nedry was in the same scale as the 3 3/4! I had the impression he was Amber Collection sized. That’s so cool there’s two versions of him now. It’s too bad they cheated out with this set though. I do love cloth top however.
The bottom part of the jeeps can be separated from the upper part, you could buy a second jeep 18 unscrew the bottom and attach it to 12. You'd have a working winch and also have the lettering on the tires. The red stripe is just air brushing. My main issue is the lights floating on the canopy instead of being connected to the windshield light bar and the inaccurate front part of the soft top. It still looks pretty cool despite those setbacks.

I would forgive the lack of paint on JP12 because the set is only $29.99 as compare to JP18 alone was $20.99 at retail. Mattel made it cheaper so they had to cut on the paint apps to save money. no complaint for the price. also they added the rare tire on JP12 which is awesome, I was complaining about JP18 lacking the rare tire, so I think the change was acceptable.

I mean Nedry USES it in the movie and in the scene - I really think Mattel is just sucking with Legacy Collection and the Jurassic line in general. Now they are just spamming random non-JP dinos and with ridiculous paint schemes. Not cool, Mattel - super disappointed honestly.
Well if that stripe bothers you so, just go ahead and add it yourself dude. get some tape, cover everything except where the stripe would be, then spray paint that bad boy on. (only problem is color matching I suppose) nice review btw.

I for one don't understand the reasoning and/or mentality behind making a GIGANTIC stink over something a truly *INFINTISMAL* as the missing red stripe on the Jeep. In the entire grand scheme of things in LIFE, there are much BIGGER things to make a big deal out of. Do you understand what I'm saying? I hope I'm getting my point across.

I love kitbashing and customizing, painting is one of my passions, but god dammit mattel shouldn’t sell me on a product only to sweep my leg and cheapen out. I wonder if it is possible to swap the chassis with components between 12 and 18, and fit the mirrors and spare wheel from 12 to 18.
