30:35, Seeing as nobody gave an answer on a postcard, the trick is, on the reel you can't see the jackpot, if you have a 7 on the line, you need 4 steps. If it's a bar, you need 5.
@@JamesHardyFruitMachines Nah, they don't block lines. Winning the gamble was by no means guaranteed, but you'd have had the lines, probably for Line Up or Win Series 😂
Just a suggestion, either say on the jump cuts how much your up or down on the machine your playing at the time or do some sort of editing to keep us up to date because there is sort of no story to the video if that makes sense
I've never advertised profit or loss on the channel with exception to the tour where we did, its not what the channel is about, its about the machines.
I like seeing the old machines I didn’t mean anything bad about the videos it was just a suggestion that I thought might help you with viewers watching the whole thing without fast forwarding to a machine they might want to see. Btw for next time simpsons beer guide numbers 1 and 12
@spongelad1 part of me doesn't want to make people think its easy to win in Retro arcades, so don't really elaborate on profit or loss. Other part was purely because I only ever started my channel to showcase my own machines and didn't think I'd end up going to arcades filming at all. When we did the tour it was a conscious effort to show profit loss, I think the two trips before the tour we had absolutely smashed it and then the tour was mega hard work as people saw and loads of dead machines. I appreciate the comments though as they never hurt, just help.
@@spongelad1 I think another thing, is it's not always obvious how much we win and lose on individual machines. On a video machine, you might say put £120 in notes in, then print a ticket for £200 at the end, then the calculations are easy. When you've got a pocket full of cash or tokens, it's less obvious how much is going in and coming out. It's only at the end of the day, when you count up, and subtract what you started with, do you know how well or how badly you did.

Used to visit Ingoldmels a bit back in the day, was a Gold Strike in the big arcade where the funfair and market is across the road from the Roller. Is what it is, some arcades don't want the free advertising or have other reasons for not wanting people to film.
Interesting one at 3:29. When that held after a nudge, if you'd held reels 1 and 2, would it have dropped a treble bar on reel 3, as it has a 3 on it, and would have given feature with £15 2 away.
Just a piss poor part of the later programs. Anyone knows Sparta or Beer Guide are miles and miles better on £15 than £25. Annoying when that slipped both the wedge and the time out on me.
@@JamesHardyFruitMachines I prefer £25s, as £15s are too difficult to get the value out of. I'm also not that convinced by the significance of numbering on them.
I know you don't normally bother with the race to be first, but you won it anyway. It's like an unexpected bonus. A bit like trying to get a quick Leps on Rainbow Riches, but instead it chucks the pots in and gives gold. Well, nearly as good 😂
Yeah, wasn't there on my last trip. The Balti, who knows probs the same one. Rev in Bognor is the one from Chatham and I guess it makes sense to move machines between sites.

@scarboroughslotter312 the problem with knocking freebees back is they take ages to do and you may get the one from the hi/lo as well like I did in Kings Lynn last year on the tour but you aren't nec going to make. If genuinely flying I'd do one but rarely find them like that in a retro arc.

well done mrs hardy smashing the crazy keys 😊

Went there the other day and had a good few jackpots on some machines as well. For a place in Chatham it’s quite calm and relatively friendly
Yep, plus a lot better selection of machines, since it reopened

James I've been a subscriber since the start I've always wondered do you have your own arcade? Or is it just a personal collection?
The start was a while ago, personal collection and hobby as well as repaired a few. Maybe one day I'll get an arcade but for now just my hobby.
That was ridiculous that blue bar didn’t hit! Does it do that on £25 JP? My £15 Simpsons always hits on the blue bar.
And can’t understand why that red bar skipped also after to the grape.
I think it has to be pretty happy to allow the pot on either version. The reason you'll get it more on the £15er, is because they're harder to kill.
