Fun fact, Disney originally planned to feature some other predatory dinosaurs besides the Carnotaurus that Aladar and the lemurs would've encounter, but they scrapped it because it was deemed to similar to the Land Before Time movies. So they went with the Velociraptor and the Carnotaurus instead.
Also, the triceratops as the main protagonist and the Tyrannosaurus rex as the main antagonist was deemed too common, so they did something different

Another fun fact if you go to Disneyland and you go to the dinosaur place, you will see the skeleton of the carno but there's a twist they put that head on a T-Rex body.
