There's one thing this series has GOT to upgrade and that's the physics. There needs to be some kind of "resistance" feel between the machines and the ground and also trees/environment would look better reacting to the high winds. The machines seem to be gliding across the ground with no movement in the suspension. It's as if all surfaces are perfectly flat and smooth. I think it would be a neat thing to also hear some stress on the engines when under load. I think once they sort this out the game will be basically perfect.
I don't see what you see. Personally I've tried using smaller tractors to save money and always struggle with them going up hills and getting up to speed. I highly disagree with your statement of them having no resistance

Unpopular opinion: I don't really give a damn about the tornados or the "fog", they have no place in the game when we do not have terrain deformation, mud, enough crops, good physics for machines, working pallets that dont get stuck, more food related depth for animals, and that awful "rings of render" on the textures.

out of all the games and developers moving to UE5... why these people haven't moved over yet is beyond me... if i was a developer working for them i'd literally quit because they have such an old outdated engine and its not going to catch up any time soon.
I *think* that the ground deformation is still under development and might come as a reveal by itself - or maybe similar to building feature in 2019, at V1.1 post release. I've watched their dev blog, and pictures there are completely different to what is showcased now, so I don't worry about it too much
There were raindrops on other surfaces of the vehicle but not the windows 😂 the most important part.. like, come on, giants... this is just sad at this point.. work on the Damm basics before adding new things.

I hope that they actually do destruction... I'm worried that they're just going to lift some vehicles up. Would be nice to see things get destroyed and you'd have to fix it up in some way, or call for the area to be cleaned up and it gets rebuilt.
Because WHO CARES. Vehicles are often modded and aren't something like a game engine improvement or new mechanic which is what should be the main focuses of a new game in the first place. They need to do what modders can't. Then modders can do the magic and make things after. If we talk facts here and look at it in the bigger picture, there is no reason to hype over this or any new vehicles or brands at all for that matter.

Awesome seeing everything in the video. First thing that got my eye was the international transtar? truck towing those lode king prestige trailers. Awesome to see the baby animals as well. But the question that kinda baffles me is the addition of tornadoes with after effects from the looks of it but no proper ground deformation getting bogged in thick heavy mud or snow when experiencing the aftermath of periods of heavy snow or rain. I'm not complaining by any means but am abit confused on the decison that's all compared to the common occurance of a tornado to a torrential downpour of rain or snow for periods at a time at certain even unpredicted months of the year these days that's all.
The game's only about ~2 months from release, something like that isn't going to change at this point. I'm sure they have other priorities to tackle first anyway. Hopefully the awful driving.. for one.
Really impressive, and yes we have new, fantastic brands coming to the game: sennebogen, novag, J&M , blue-power version of New Holland tractors, I gues that yellow tractor is a wheeled Challenger, Grimme Matrix planter. Besides that we have goats! And baby animals! Also those weather effects, the rain droplets and the tornado are really, really cool!
You guys keep falling for the hype from their brand deals and the overhyped addition of new brands. Look at the bigger picture here, It's nothing new and brand and vehicles can be added with new mods. Fixing and improving the game engine can't. That's what we should be wanting more than just more brands.
@@JoaoBopsinmost of them have nothing to do with actual farm work. Mercedes maybe for moving goods with a truck/unimog, but the rest are just car/pickup brands which have no real use in the game due to being able to teleport, and such small maps not needing fast transport for small weights

At least it should be optimized for the last generation consoles, XSX and PS5. With a PC it may be different, there are too many hardware configurations, I'm sure it won't be any good when it's released.

I remember having a tornado not more then 1/2 mile away from our farm and ranch pick up a S9 Gleaner combine without header. Header was in the shop being worked on. The tornado lifted it straight up and sat down on the tires without breaking a window or damaging hardly anything but the radio antenna and exhaust rain cap. Tornado sat the S9 Gleaner combine down in a old dried up pond not to far from the farmers homestead. And the darn tornado didn't even mess up the hay stack of small square bales underneath a tarp close to the S9 Gleaner combine. Owner just fired up the S9 Gleaner and drove home. Was finishing harvesting on some untouched fields later in the week. Crazy things with tornados. But we need suspension movement and grinding gears, creaking and cracking of metal twisting a frame and some rattles of the interior items need the screws tighten back down. Belts squealing and some poof of black diesel soot of the exhaust as engines revving up in RPM's on diesel engines. Tires smashing through the mud and water and the grass and other ground materials. Wheel spinning out at times and then getting stuck after mud and water rooster tails flying mud all over the place. 👍
its just texture displacement mapping. it will look good on certain angles, barely noticable in others, and be highly selective in appearance. the ground is not really tiled at this level. it may never happen, or it may happen in the next version. but not in FS25.

water droplets, well yes, as part of a good weather system. its one of the most important things in farming after all. thing is, water droplets alone are not a finished system. tornado is just for show. baby animals...well yea. we need better animals, less static, less clunky animations from 2 decades ago. so, its good, not sure why you are complaining about that.
I can't say I'm impressed, I didn't even see trees shaking, no real ground deformation, just windy for a night and then you're missing a patch of crops. we wanna see tractors getting damaged, fields being flooded, animals running to take cover in the barn.
The fans who play 3 days after the release are happy about the tornadoes in the comments. But the fans who really play the game until the next installment want deep functions that are so simple to implement but have been missing for years. It really makes me wonder whether Giants is worth anything as a long-time customer who has bought dozens of games and dlcs. The feature is purely to bring people to the game who had nothing to do with the game beforehand. Unnecessarily wasted resources, as we already know from Giants. To bring out the game after 3 years with minimally better graphics, a fog that permanently disturbs and tornadoes is a cheek. Features such as GPS and a better assistant should have come years ago. Writing this big on your chest now is not a flagship but a tragedy.
graphics are just fine for this type of game.. But the deep functions i do also miss in the game. More to do with animals, more to do with the greenhouses. Evertyhing now is setup very to basic.
@@daandejong2964 We used to have a community that cared about simulation. Not anymore sadly. You can thank all those cringe roleplay youtubers like Squad and Square2448 for that and the huge influx of console kids now who couldn't care less about simulation.
Finally there are baby animals. They were long overdue. Storms are cool too. Crop damage in particular definitely makes it more realistic. Hopefully there will be hail, fire, floods and wind failures in addition to tornadoes. Do tornadoes also damage vehicles and buildings?

Grass texture on the silage fields looks so bad with literally no improvement. Please work on this as it's a big let down. When you cut grass silage the field should not be green

Amazing game can’t wait to play it with my uncle. I just wanted to say in Farming simulator 22 to join someone’s game with mods is way too difficult, because you have to look up every single mod your friends have just to join them. And to make it worse I’ve found with my uncle and my friends looking up certain mods in the search bar doesn’t show up. Please fix this major issue so it doesn’t happen in Farming simulator 25. @@TNM001 I can compare that. Depending on how the tornado in-game works it would require a lot of extra functionality. Whereas, we already have suspension implemented into said game. All they would need to do is rework it, make some changes to it, and tweak the variables.

@@Fernandoenf2I don't think so. It is just so that there is nothing else in the genre. Cattle and Crops had so much potential, but thats it. I am not happy with the game beeing shallow since forever and nothing ever changes. I always bought it because there is nothing else and modders fix parts of the game. Every Interview when giants gets asked about good features they say not yet or not at moment or whatever excuse they come up with. The game feels like procrastinating 2years and then starting development. Now we have ugly tornados nobody asked for and the core mechanics are still bad and shallow. They could just make features optional for the casual players. Sometimes it feels like they develop for mobile gamers.

I remember having a tornado not more then 1/2 mile away from our farm and ranch pick up a S9 Gleaner combine without header. Header was in the shop being worked on. The tornado lifted it straight up and sat down on the tires without breaking a window or damaging hardly anything but the radio antenna and exhaust rain cap. Tornado sat the S9 Gleaner combine down in a old dried up pond not to far from the farmers homestead. And the darn tornado didn't even mess up the hay stack of small square bales underneath a tarp close to the S9 Gleaner combine. Owner just fired up the S9 Gleaner and drove home. Was finishing harvesting on some untouched fields later in the week. Crazy things with tornados. But we need suspension movement and grinding gears, creaking and cracking of metal twisting a frame and some rattles of the interior items need the screws tighten back down. Belts squealing and some poof of black diesel soot of the exhaust as engines revving up in RPM's on diesel engines. Tires smashing through the mud and water and the grass and other ground materials. Wheel spinning out at times and then getting stuck after mud and water rooster tails flying mud all over the place. 👍

its just texture displacement mapping. it will look good on certain angles, barely noticable in others, and be highly selective in appearance.
the ground is not really tiled at this level. it may never happen, or it may happen in the next version. but not in FS25.

Somehow the developers think that water droplets, tornadoes and baby animals is what we want in a 'simulation' game.
A simulator game will be a perfect real life simulator. Not just game.
water droplets, well yes, as part of a good weather system. its one of the most important things in farming after all. thing is, water droplets alone are not a finished system.

I can't say I'm impressed, I didn't even see trees shaking, no real ground deformation, just windy for a night and then you're missing a patch of crops. we wanna see tractors getting damaged, fields being flooded, animals running to take cover in the barn.
I hope there will be an option to turn off the tornadoes

The fans who play 3 days after the release are happy about the tornadoes in the comments. But the fans who really play the game until the next installment want deep functions that are so simple to implement but have been missing for years. It really makes me wonder whether Giants is worth anything as a long-time customer who has bought dozens of games and dlcs. The feature is purely to bring people to the game who had nothing to do with the game beforehand. Unnecessarily wasted resources, as we already know from Giants. To bring out the game after 3 years with minimally better graphics, a fog that permanently disturbs and tornadoes is a cheek. Features such as GPS and a better assistant should have come years ago. Writing this big on your chest now is not a flagship but a tragedy.
The people that want to simulate farming aren’t giants target audience sadly.

graphics are just fine for this type of game.. But the deep functions i do also miss in the game. More to do with animals, more to do with the greenhouses.

Finally there are baby animals. They were long overdue. Storms are cool too. Crop damage in particular definitely makes it more realistic. Hopefully there will be hail, fire, floods and wind failures in addition to tornadoes. Do tornadoes also damage vehicles and buildings?

They damage plants and crops, but no buildings or vehicles unfortunately, although that would be quite annoying to be fair

Grass texture on the silage fields looks so bad with literally no improvement. Please work on this as it's a big let down. When you cut grass silage the field should not be green

I just wanted to say in Farming simulator 22 to join someone’s game with mods is way too difficult, because you have to look up every single mod your friends have just to join them. And to make it worse I’ve found with my uncle and my friends looking up certain mods in the search bar doesn’t show up. Please fix this major issue so it doesn’t happen in Farming simulator 25. its absolutely logical. do you comprehend how much easier it is to make a tornado asset for this game instead of revamping the physics model completely? you cant compare that.
@@TNM001 I can compare that. Depending on how the tornado in-game works it would require a lot of extra functionality. Whereas, we already have suspension implemented into said game. All they would need to do is rework it, make some changes to it, and tweak the variables.

Their licensing won't allow visibly damaged equipment so tornadoes will be as ridiculous as their collision modeling.

I am not happy with the game beeing shallow since forever and nothing ever changes. I always bought it because there is nothing else and modders fix parts of the game. Every Interview when giants gets asked about good features they say not yet or not at moment or whatever excuse they come up with. The game feels like procrastinating 2years and then starting development. Now we have ugly tornados nobody asked for and the core mechanics are still bad and shallow.
They could just make features optional for the casual players. Sometimes it feels like they develop for mobile gamers.

@@FarmingSimulator I have played your game forever, at least fs09. Can you build something like Courseplay into the base game? If you can't do that maybe make it so we can turn collisions off. I don't find the tornado particularly helpful.
