- Adam Carriker speaks openly on Dylan Raiola's up & down season so far & if he believes Matt Rhule is the guy for Nebraska. This is about as open, real & honest of a take on these two guys, as you're going to find anywhere! Also, much to Adam's surprise, Nebraska is favored over Wisconsin...So he gives his preview & prediction for what Adam dubbed the "Ugly Duckling Game"...The Wisconsin game. This is an epic episode!
Should Nebraska be favored vs Wisconsin?! CarrikerChronicles.com
Absolutely
Idk it's crazy to see Wisconsin be so close to beating #1 Oregon but then iowa smoked Wisconsin.
This will be controversial but Nebraska shouldn’t be favored against Wisconsin until they beat them more than once in how many years.
I do not think Nebraska should be favored. They lose too many games.
How does anyone know , I just don't know anymore, just hoping they find that attitude that we've seen these players produce at times
Loved listening to Dana's press conference. He told the recievers they better start perimeter blocking better or not get as many chances to get the ball.
Love that! Hope he's here next year!
Well if they don't block it effects the whole play
@@carrikerchronicles90 Me as well
Adam, you have walked me back from the edge so many times. This team (and program) is so frustrating at times that I feel like we are completely lost. Thx for being so optimistic and helping us hurting Huskers!
Ps. I’m still struggling. This team is infuriating!
I hope this show helped.
Haarberg should be on the field almost all the time, a couple plays at WR, a couple at TE, a couple at RB, a couple at FB, a couple at QB, leave him on the field, the defense could never key on him as a QB run Everytime
Oh man finally someone who feels the same as I do. Haarberg is a damn good athlete and this program has wasted his talent by sitting him on the bench
Agree!
Agreed!
He definitely needs to be used more
I LOVED Dana's press conference!!! He's not sugar coating anything. We NEED some old school attitude like Dana...
Amen bro!
I like it too.
One more bad game from the offense and fans will turn on DH like my wife turned on me after I forgot to put the toilet seat down once.
@henrylee8510 Not true! He's working with what Satterfield left him. If Dana's here next year that will be his install. Then people can complain if it's bad next season.
I like Dylan's confidence
I'm a HUSKER till the end to start but I do sincerely hope Dylan is right in just my opinion it would boost morale and do so much for us fans who love this team this school the whole thing and I believe it would possibly get some of those big guns coming out to play for the Big Red
GBR
Love the confidence just hope the team can get it done
Thick skin is DEFINITELY NEEDED here at Lincoln! There’s SOOOOOOOOO much pressure on these coaches and kids to win it feels like which I feel like is part of our struggles
His answer has stuck with more for years.
If they go 5-7 again the winning tradition patches need to go.
They needed to go after Callahan.
Your not alone on the hill. I am not checked out. I am always rooting and watching/listening to the Huskers when they play. I am in Norther California for another year and always supporting the Huskers and wearing my gear. I am always getting a Go Huskers and recently got a Throw the Bones when I was on the Coast.. It is amazing where all the Husker Fans are at. We love our team..
Adam, you should not change your style. Sometimes I do not like what you say, but a friend of mine once said, "If you and I thought alike, one of us would not be necessary."
Appreciate it
You are on fire! What a fun video, Adam! Keep it up!
Thanks
I thought Holgerson had some interesting things to say today might be part of why Raiola is confident
Very well could be
We Need This Game Bad DR. Show 🆙 & Show Out Stop Holding Back it’s Ur Time To Shine ✨ #GBR ✨
I AGREE WITH YOU 💯 % ADAM!!!
We need to remember what we defined as a success before the season started. Pretty much all of us said that we would be happy with 6-6. Then we started winning and all ofnus started talking possible playoff dark horse. 6-6 is still absolutely a possibility.
Always been a believer in you play to the level of your competition... How we played Ohio State, how Wisconsin played Oregon... but i think we are not at the door... think we kick it down!! The time is NOW!!
Pro Tip: Don't give bulletin board material to a struggling team that has owned us since we joined the Big10 when we're on a four game losing streak.
Yep
Huskers can almost eliminate future pass interference by simply lubricating their jerseys around the should pad area and sleeves. We then should be called the Corn Greasers.
wow
If you're worried about feelings, then you need to worry about the players more worried about the money they make. Smash mouth football and NOT money
When are we going to use #10 and his legs in the RedZone ….. put Haarberg in the Wildcat and let him run 4 times in a row…. FGs will become Extra Point kicks after running TDs!
Dylan needs to start throwing the ball to open receivers.
He throws the ball into coverage too many times each
game.
Quit waiting until 2 minutes left to win a game.
Start dominating the game from the start of the game.
Intensity and urgency.
This is what they did at the Colorado game, and it worked out well. After that they have been asleep 💤
Dylan I have one favor to ask don't leave nebraska we need you and you need us thanks for comeing
Coach Rhule is a good coach. His biggest problem is navigating the politics of the message board culture that wants to run the team. Run the team, Coach.
I frustrated with Rhule as far as him waiting to long to make changes
His decision making process is questionable. Time management, coaching personnel, player personnel. He needs to become a little more hard ass, lose the fear on game days. Having class doesn't win you football games.
People are passionate. It's part of the job.
Passionate, with respect. You are spot on sir!
Thanks
Poster board material for an already struggling team. Sounds like a GREAT idea.
100% agree. Haarberg should be used like Taysom Hill is used for the Saints (Hill had 138 yds on the ground, 50 receiving and 18 passing). Red zone and short yardage = Haarberg.
In their 35-14 win over Cleveland this past Sunday
Love the shirt Adam!
It's comfortable too lol
1000% correct Adam
When is Haarburg going to get a full quarter of play? Will it be before or after he transfers?
After
O line has blown it protecting Raiola at times which can lead to a QB having nervous feet
It's not easy for a quarterback to perform when he's running for his life, or laying on his back, or looking for a receiver who is not covered, or trying to execute a poorly called play. Raiola did his job. He's hurt. Why? He has a lazy team around him. That includes coaches.
I agree! You said it, I said it. Dana is a G. We are forunate we demoted Sat and got a no nonsense guy. If it dont work out with Rhule dana would fix this crap. Just my opinion. Tired of this insanity. Gbr. Better win Saturday. Good stuff Adam. Your one of my favorite players to come through unl 🏈
I commented this on the Sunday video, but I'll say it again. As a fan that was at that game, I was 60 or so yards from that corner of the endzone, 3 rows from the husker bench at about mid field. I could see that play clear as day, and I don't know all the qualifications for what makes something PI vs. defensive holding, but I think either one should've been called there. I mean blatant, hell, I'd even say egregious. The NCAA really needs to start holding these officials accountable... While we can't blame the loss in its entirety on a crazy missed call like that, it doesn't make me feel any better knowing we should've had a 2nd shot to tie things up and didn't get it.
It was a rough call to swallow.
Refs had to keep the spread, how many of these refs bet on these games? Legalized gambling, like everything else in this country has become corrupt.
Shouldn't give bulletin material Wisconsin played Oregon hard
Naw, ain't looking good for Nebraska. Wisconsin covered Oregon really well and run blocked well, things Nebraska struggles with
Wisconsin played Oregon hard. We played Ohio St hard. We're both in the same boat.
Players needs to play, have fun, don't worry about the bowl game it will happen
**Dawson Merritt, not Merritt Dawson.. right?? I may be loosing it.. excited for him
Losing has one...O
you better tighten it up if you are loosing it LOL.
The Tyson fight was 100000% rigged
Well, if Tyson had been 27 too, Paul would have been a heap on the deck faster than Michael Spinks got there on 6/27/88. Paul needs to fight Oleksandr Usyk next.
Tyson was paid the most if it went all the rounds. #FollowTheMoney
Adam , I agree 100%. Satterfield misused Raiola, could have used HH in the red zone and helped him out. Physically and mentally. It's a team sport. GBR
Last year was a huge mistake. We could’ve won 9 with Casey Thompson. Total failure running him off.
Yep!
❤️ u man 😂
Appreciate it
All these people say HH should start are the same people who were cursing him last season when he’d make a mistake. Nebraska fans are terribly fickle
Fans everywhere are fickle.
I watched the entire Tyson fight on TH-cam less than two hours after the fight.
Haarberg should be a big part of the offense the rest of this season.
Don't forget HH was 5-3 as the starter
Nebraska's glory years are long, long gone. The only way to escape the prison of mediocrity is to get your own Phil Knight. But even that is not certain as who knows what new financial system is coming down the road in college football. College football will turn into massive roster turnovers every year (almost there, look at Colorado).
I still think everyone saw the first games, jumped their modest predictions, and now the huge push is coming. Look at Tom's long-term record.
Rhule made at least 2 big mistakes and is the reason the team didn't improve much more from last year. The #1 mistake was hiring Satterfield as OC as he did not have a track record of success as a OC. Paying Satterfield $1.4 million (7th highest in college football) compounded the mistake as it does not make sense to waste resources on a guy that was not a proven OC. The 2nd mistake was bringing in 24-year-old Garrett McGuire as the receiver's coach. McGuire had no track record of success as a WR coach and played 2 plays in his entire football career. There would have been dozens of WR coaches that would have been better options than McGuire but since Rhule is friends with his dad, he chose him.
Ugly duckling game of week, Purdue v Mich St Friday
You asked, "When did it get so hard to get to a bowl game?" Answer: Mike Riley era 2015-2017 Scott Frost era: 2018-2022 We are in the process of flipping the culture and upgrading the talent. It is a process and should turnaround quickly. You're right, "Let Coach Rhule cook and see what happens."
I don't know what to think
Haarberg needs to have more plays at QB. Set Riola on the bench a little more and let him rest up and not put so much pressure on him. Haarberg gives the defense another back to have to contain.
Adam, Dylan didn't say "logged out" he said the fans have a "lot of doubt." Listen to the clip
How about Haarberg in the slot in RedZone?!!!!
NU 31
Rodents 10
Is a badger a rodent?
I hear about how great the recruits are. I have heard for years we had good recruiting classes and nothing but bad results.
I understand. We should just give up
Oh Nov recruiting Kool Aid! Another Aug Nat Championship 19 in a row
How is Harburg going to change anything. As soon as he comes in the game the defense changes to what beat us last year.
Dylan is gunna leave. Why stay??? Seriously i want him to but why would he after this?
Depends how the last couple games play out. If he sees Dana is making changing that fit him then why leave especially if we can get some of these recruits that are saying they are coming because of him?
@@smokingcactuslooks like Dana’s offense fits like a glove
I agree....the "toilet" bow is in their future. It's a building decade.
Eljer is missing a sponsorship opportunity.
Replays showed defender with two hands full of jersey, definitely PI. Walk on program has been part of what has separated NU from the rest over the years. NCAA doesn’t see the value of it. They are blind to its value.
1. Clearly Pass Interference. That ref for sure wanted USC to win...and get the game over with. 2. Yes. The Walk-on Program is over and done with. 3. Mike Tyson is 58 years old. His fighting days are lost in the past. If he had beaten the younger man then the question would be, "Did the Jake Paul the much younger fighter throw the fight?" Mike did as well as could be expected, NO he would never throw a fight.
1: PI. Obvious
2. Yes
3. Yes
If we beat Wisconsin, it will be an upset in my eyes, we haven't shown anything to show that we can beat them. Dillon just doesn't have a feel for running when he needs to run and when he shouldn't. Obviously, he's running now after 6 games, but I had been screaming for him to run since the 3rd game for sure when teams were just pinning ears back and coming after him cause he wouldn't run. Haarberg can run for sure but that's all he does and it's not that hard to key on that and I will say Haarberg takes a lot of punishment when he does run and wouldn't make it the season if he did play all the time.
I'm of the age that I can recall the day when I. M Hipp shot off his mouth to ABC's Keith Jackson on how he was going to win the Heisman the next three years.. Ha .. and guess what.. Hey talk is talk..
Yes
Yes
Yes
Concerning the prediction, why give the other team any more motivation?
I don't think that was his intent. It literally seemed like he was just talking, speaking calmly from the heart. Maybe I'm wrong.
Adam, you know I never make predictions. That said. 33-17. Breakout game for our Nebraska Cornhuskers. The time has come. GBR As to your questions: 1. See #3. 2. Yes 3. 20 million is a lot. I'll say this... 4 years isn't long enough time for Tyson to have dropped off that much, unless his ulcer was really that bad. Then again, we saw him basically crippled in the last year, so idk. Brings me back to rigged games, Adam. Prove me wrong; see #1. You're the one that said these games aren't rigged. I'm really starting to wonder. #throwthebones
Interesting thought.
Sorry - DR should have read shirted. Coaches should have gone back into the portal- gotten an experienced QB to cover this year and give him a developmental year.
Yikes I saw this team play usc.....this can't be the same team that beat Colorado🤔🤔🤔
Colorado was never good to begin with
28-17 Nebraska.
Goose!
Lol
Well u never give the opponent something like this. U can have Tude and not make it public.
16-13. Wisconsin wins in OT
I agree. The starters are still mostly frost guys. Most will be gone after this year. Rhule is not the problem, Dana is going to be a big help for the offense. Tony is good not great. Rhule will get Nebraska back to 8Wins. 10+ wins probably but it do seem more iffy.
Nebraska was never that good at stopping the pass. DBs are good not great. DBs if one guy get beat or misses an assignment gives the offense an opportunity to get a first down or touchdown.
Come on man. Fickle makes it sound like he is going to be calling plays. 😂😂 idk but this doesn't seem like a good time to fire your OC unless you are trying to promote one of the inhouse guys.
6:20
Nebraska's poor offensive line play ruins QBs. It ruined Adrian, and its ruining Dylan. The paranoia that they're always about to get blindsided by a flying rusher overrides all of their training.
What are your thoughts that if Colorado wins out and the big 12 championship they are going to be the possibly # 4 team in the college football playoffs. If that’s true then I just threw up a little in my mouth! Go Big Red!!!!
Me too!
Nebraska 24 Wisconsin 20
GBR…
Lotta runs stopped by 185lb DBs. Brian Carpenter 5'11" 240lbs 39" vertical puts this scrub DB IN THE TENT!
??
Stop apologizing for your opinion! Huskers are blue collars that bleed red.. give us your Blackshirt opinion and keep going
I will add an AMEN, Brother to that.
Gopher fan here. I watched Wisconsin Oregon. Wisconsin's best game I've seen. If they play that way against you and their injured players are back, they'll beat you even if you play well. If Wohlers and Pauling are out, you guys should win.
It will be an interesting game. Wisconsin is one of those teams (as are Colorado, Texas and Miami) that Nebraska hates.
Nebraska NEEDS to stop the run.
Every year Wisconsin dominates the running game.
Every year a wisconsin runner gets at least 150 yards rushing.
Well thankfully we won't be facing the Barry Alvarez Wisconsin. No Melvin Gordon, no Ron Dayne, no awesome power run plays from the I-formation. This game will be two struggling spread offenses searching for something, anything.
Is it bad even seeing how crappy Wisconsin's offense has been im thinking they will probably score 30 this game. Hope Im wrong and I have little faith in DR. He misses so many open guys. I thought with a true drop back guy we would see open recievers hit.
Start HH Wisconsin wouldn't know what
Ummm, you mean we both suck, right?
Rhule sugar coats things dana dont
Tyson absolutely took a fall.
That was 100% PI
College football has been ruined by the transfer portal and now the walk on programs and definitely the NIL, shoulda never went down that road.
My prediction Wisconsin 17- Nebraska 13
Skers 24-13
Hire Mike Tomlin.
Give him 13 million a year.
Send Rhule to the steelers.
Lastly 2 quarterback system has never worked for anyone and won't here either.
Dylan isn't a real leader yet. Real leadership can't be forced. It has to come naturally. He isn't engaged with his teammates on the sideline or on the field. Let a real leader make that guarantee.
I think Raiola ranks under Wisconsins quarterback...Raiolie is 13
We should not be favored.
A blah/ mediocre QB guaranteeing a bowl game? I'd respect it more if it were Robinson making the guarantee. He seems to actually GIVE A CRAP on the field still.
Every year it's the same. Win the off-season; win the recruiting; win the game of talk. This team is as soft as its head coach. At the rate the university pays coaches to leave, they won't be able to afford the next one.
Nebraska don't deserve to go to a bowl if they can't win games
Not enough attention is paid this sorry offensive line. When are going to get some big mean offensive lineman.
I agree
..........naaaa, don't like people talkin' a big game..........gotta go out, quit talikin' and start walkin'...........let your play do the talkin'............we'll see how that goes first.........
Yes Yes No
Sorry Adam with Nebraska football nothing is guaranteed and will lose the next 2 games.
