Hi Ema I have been studying this video, and I found around time 8:16 that the script says: 'so when we are uncertain and unsure about the present and the future we use de modal verb COULD, MIGHT and MAY'. I think It would be easier to understand conceptually, if just emphasis that the prediction is made in the present, but it will happen in the future. So, I suggest just this modification in the script: 'so when we are uncertain and unsure DURING THE PRESENT WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN FUTURE we use de modal verb COULD, MIGHT and MAY. I write down this since through my process of learning English I have realised that it is vital to synchronise my thought with the English structure to make a good picture in other's mind, and I have found in your class a great place to get better speaking fluency. If I have mistaken in my appreciation, I will be glad to listen to you Best regard Juan Vasquez

Emma uses a special and very important way of talking, which is rarely used. She creates pauses, between sentences, sometimes even between words. It feels good for us because during those short pauses our brains can process more data inside itself about what she said. It feels more relaxing for the listener. Jiddu Krishnamuti mentions and explains the importance of those pauses, to be better understood, in a book called "The mystery of comprehension".
Thank you Santsuma... I always try to make my students feel GOOD about their English. So often, we let shame and humiliation stop us from making progress... We need to try to overcome it!
Good lessons teacher Emma. I would like every friendly Emma accept Jesus as our leader until they are have eternal life? This video is so helpful for us, as a filipino who struggling to make a sentence I found this video that really help me to construct sentences or making conversation with my friends. I thank you for making this type of video.
Online learning could be the most convenient way for us to learn virtually. Your online lessons will bring much joy and inspirations to the English learners all over the world.

Emma,I have read May suggest a good possibility, might suggest a weak possibility and could suggest a still weaker possibility. For instance Don't worry. Your purse may be in your bag (a good possibility), You might get an advice from John if you ask(a weak possibility) and He could be lying to me but it is unlikely cuz he is my bosom friend( a still weaker possibility). You teach so well Emma ma'am.
We can improve our knowledge with the support of the best ever teacher like you.bcz you always deal with us very friendly and cozy manners.god bless you
Hey Emma , I hv watched your edu class first time. And I fell in love with your accent, teaching style and your pretty face and expressions. Now I am going to watch all videos.
I am really impressed that you are explaining. My long year confusion goes from my head. The most authentic resources really touches my heart. It is very much worthwhile. I love your way.Thank you very much! I must improve.
Dear Emma, your explanations are always succinct and easy to grasp! Thank you for being so selfless in sharing these with us!! May you be blessed with great things in life ☺️
If there is { ( Must + be ( v1 )} then it becomes the case of possibility , but { ( Must have + exhausted ( v3), its not possibility )} Modal " Must " is used to give some one our honest / best opinion which is necessary for him to do it. We don't use " Must " for Probability , as here in the video the sentence is given " After 36 hour flying you must have felt exhausted " but for probability we do say " After 36 hour flying you may have felt exhausted " ( May + have + exhausted V3 make strong possibility ) Well this video has also provided me new grammar information , so i appreciate it too and the teaching method is an excellent, i did enjoy the video Thank you. I would love to correct my knowledge regarding my comment if there is.
I like ur way of explanation And also ur austerity .. ur nails, hands etc. .. are quite enough to describe your personality .. Have a bright and peaceful life Love from Kashmir Indian occupied 😭
I had a confusion about the model verbs and was searching about the usage in different situations. I heard a lot of videos. But no use and they just described the words. Finally I found your video and it was amazing 😄. Thank you very much
Well done for the clear 'may=might=could=it's possible' explanation. The idea that 'might' is a little less possible than 'may' is something to be avoided. 99% of the time only one of these words will be used, meaning you have nothing to compare it to i.e. 'it might rain' cannot be a little less than 'it may rain' when the value of may is unknown!😁
Nazi Grammar 👨🏻🏫 Hello. Mr Teacher here in England 🏴.I have just found your question and I have an answer for you. All of these words have similar meanings and usage. The main differences refer to the degree of emphasis to use. That is much clearer when spoken, rather than written. For example ‘I may go out’ is not as definite as ‘I might go out’ when spoken. ‘May’ is used when asking permission to do something, or offering something to someone as with ‘May I help you?’. Kind regards from 👨🏻🏫 and my feline companion 🐈 who appears in the thumbnail picture.
