Samzirra, I will be honest and say that I have never really liked Beck. And the only real exposure I have had to him is because the only song of his that managed to even chart in Sweden was Loser. So I can't say how unique or good he actually is. But just going by this song along (which surely is a one-off for Beck)... it's the rat's ass. Sorry, but I never take anyone serious if they come off as a raging fanboy

That being said Beck has been stuck in "mournful ballad" gear for quite a while and I think it's time to do James Brown on acid again. Getting stuck in mournful ballad gear is what killed Morrissey.
