Last May, when I was in Japan, 90% of stuffs I got were from Mandarake, Book Off and Hobby Off. It's so great that stores like this exist. Wish my country would do concepts like this.
The Recycle Shops are a boon for toy hunters like my wife and I. Mandarake (pronounced Man-da-ra-kay), Hard off, Surugaya, etc... are all worth anywhere from a dedicated visit to quick look :) Doing up a Japan Toy Hunt guide soon, focused mostly on vintage western toys, and the number one spot is Koenji for all that goodness :)
It's nice that Mandarake and Jungle, another Japanese store, both ship to Canada and if it's under $125 dollars or so CBSA doesn't charge sales tax on it. I wish Amazon Japan wasn't the only one that collects Canadian tax, with the other stores anything above the CBSA limit has tax collected by the shipper with a surcharge.
Costumer for about 3 months took some time to learn the site but so happy hell snail mail ones got my order in one day . Not sure if I told you this before but it was shipped around pm one day and at my door around 12 to 2 pm the next day still get a laugh
I travel light. But i filled my free luggage and carry on + backpack. I could also buy an extra luggage 🧳. If you shop that much. ( since i travel light i buy most clothing i need from there.
@@ToySnowman Guess that makes sense seeing as there's alot of complimentary and cheap stuff there, I only went on a plane once and I brought the biggest case I could, stayed in Macau for half a year so the thought of using all the luggage for shopping seemed crazy until I saw you do it lol.

to be noted that surugaya has the most expansive variety - but also comes with a hefty price most of it if not careful
great channel man. would love to see more of your toy hunting experiences!
Great video, Cool to see Mandarake and the inside of Hobbylink Japan
mandrake has multiple stores and yeah Hobby link is awsome and Huge
You must have been in heaven...visiting the toy and collector shops. Was it what you expected?
Godzilla shop not so much, but Gundam shop was super impressive. Pokemon shop was cool too. I really enjoyed the towers full of toy stores.

How did you get all the stuff you bought back? did you pay extra to take it on the plane, or did you get it sent back at the post office or something?
