Those green floor tiles will never not be pretty. I think we need to get you a proper wee catapult and some marbles or ball bearings and have a full siege. Or just load the catapult up with dreamies and watch Willow launch herself at it like a giant kitty monster :D

marbles for bombarding the castle and perhaps some elastics( or rubber bands if you are a Yank which could simulate the effects of Archers using their long bows

One thing I've found helpful to keep the clips from falling out is just a tiny bit of masking tape over them...makes those floors a lot more stable. 😁
oh i love that, not this video is done im going to take it apart shave the troublesome pegs and get it all in alignment.
I just hope we do see upgrade kits one day

so i dont know the game personally but the individual squares hold a 30mm round base well the smallest tile being 2x2 30mm squares with some excess. I assume the base for the 2x2 tray could fit but it would be tight. There is nothing stopping you for using the modular nature of the tiles to do bigger rooms but hosting individual floors at a time or laying it more 2d than intended.

How much paint did you go through for this? Did you use 'the good stuff' (as in, mini paints) or did you use more "craft-size" acrylic paint tubes?
once can of dark grey primer did most of the coverage less than half a pot of any colour and all reaper
I was honestly concerned with suggesting to use something like a slingshot or those toy catapults considering it is going to be used for dnd and not crossbows and catapults and while im sorta disappointed you didnt fling the cheapo minis from the advent calendar, considering how some parts of the stronghold arent snugly fit during the recording i dont mind the cat toy. Still wonderful vid.
My question if any would be if anyone made conversion clips or something to allow connecting different series of tiles/buildings between dungeons & lasers and something like dwarven forge or fat dragon's dragonlock tile system?

Well as all parts are a standard measurements I’d assume you can. We will be tackling the tavern potentially late next week so watch the stream/this space
While you have a standard build, near the end you did say you had extra parts... Would deviating from the original build be possible and if so what would you advice to add?
with most being archways it would be just more doors but with one royal castle pack add on or any room set you could do a lot
I'm pretty happy with mine, put it all together but the stairs going into the building might have a mistake in mine, there where no pegs to connect the parts. Is that meant to be glued together?
The stairs are honestly my main criticism because you can't attach them to anything so they will easily topple over.
Yeah the stairs are an odd one but they were made in the very early d&l days. The cubic stairs are clever though when you assemble them they have magnet holes on the inside Incase you wanted to magnetise them. This also matches a hole in the underside of the tile and the holes In many of the walls too.
@@mikemoans9350Fair enough, I might have to look for some magnets then. This is my first terrain set, I got it at a big discount on black Friday so it's all still a bit new to me.
I love the versatility though, so many things can be build with this set and it being the only one with battlements makes it pretty great to build a wall too.
Main thing I wish for is like a bigger door. Could be neat if they release a gate house set sometimes with maybe a portcullis and two story high doorway with doors that can open.
A drawbridge would be cool too.
@@willemverheij3412 have you seen the new gate with their caves Kickstarter? I’m hoping that fits. They have also alluded to more upgrades in future
@@mikemoans9350I haven't seen the gate, did skim over the kickstarter. My plan is to wait until next black Friday and see what they have in store by then and on sale.
Gives me plenty of time to try out the terrain in a few D&D sessions and get a better idea of what I might want to add to this.
I'm not running any campaign yet, only one shots here and there.

I have really bad experience with Archon studios. Bought the hall of heroes package, but after building the room i came to the conclussion that the wall clips are 4x short. But the floor clips had a lot of them! Really annoying. It wad much better if they put more wall clips in the bundle instead of the floor variation.. i asked them if they could send a few of those since i did not like it and felt cheated on with buying the product. They said no because its a room and you should pay for different installments so you can put the room with the other installments. For me thats quit a bullshit construction. Now i was thinking about giving it another chance with the sorcerors spire or the castle, but im afraid they will going to be a bunch of cheapskates who are forcing you to buy crap you should not need / want. It feels like a real life paywall hidden in plain sight!
Does anyone have the bigger bundles like the tavern or the two buildings mentioned before? I own two 3d printers and somethines i just like cut out a premade package to build and paint without the time and hassle to print something. But if its going to miss stuff i dont even want to pay for that bullshit again..
Those sets are add ons for room by room and are very well valued for their costs. Thing to remember is these were an add on to the kickstarter and the brand in general. So yes the clip system for me is fine
that said the new sets for the hall of heroes and other sets coming in prisma cast are 3 to 4 times bigger with more of everything.
The tavern, the castle, spire and the undercity have a huge amount of everything.

Thank you for filming this, definitely getting the Sorcerers spire at the end of the month, giving me 4 weeks to build 5/10 floors
