Just met with a recruiter, my intentions are to be a Seabee reservist. Two questions I asked that have me wanting to fact check 1. Am I able to pick my NOSC/NRC (the closest one), he stated yes. 2. Can I pick up orders that may last 1 or 2 months and once I return, since I will meet the minimum 50 points for a "good year" I would not have to do a drill weekend once a month, he stated yes. Can you verify these for me? Or point me to a direction where I can confirm this. I'd prefer to pick up a set of orders while as a reservist that will grant me enough points to at least achieve 50 points or be close to it; due to the fact that I work for the fire department and according to their policy they will pay me up to 30 work days for military leave. Appreciate you and your videos!
I am strongly strongly considering to join the navy reserves I am prior active duty I am also 30 years old so army is not going to be a question because 20 years in the army is wear and tear in the body.
I joined active duty at 19, did 11 years active duty, and 13 reserves, I retired at 45 with 24 years service. The hardest part is waiting to start pulling my retirement. Still waiting. The VA health is the real treasure. Get enrolled if you can.
Thanks! I am currently stationed at RTC as an RDC, been really thinking about getting out once my contract is done. Was looking into Selres option cause I am married with 2 kids and am tired of leaving them especially while at RTC. Selres seems like a good option for sure.
Very informative, I’m thinking about becoming a navy reserve, right out of high school, and almost all of my questions were answered in this video all but one. Can you join the reserve without 2/4 years in active duty, and still get all the benefits they talked about?? Thank you.
Is there a place I can find information about advancement and rate quotas? I am joining back in as a prior service, reserve for now because of family dynamic but I’d like to choose a rate with good outlook and advancement

Hi sir, I appreciate the video, lots of good information in it. I leave in Fredericksburg VA and wanted to see if you could put me in touch with a Navy Reserve Recruiter please?
I’m going to the correctional academy in upstate NY next month. Can I go on active duty orders as a reservist and still keep my position as CORRECTIONS OFFICER? For example if the orders are 5 months or more?

If you can go Reserves FTS, you’ll be with your family every day.
@@slowitdownroc8946 FTS is full-time support and you're a reservist on active duty w/ AD benefits. Many FTS guys stay at one command for a while.

Go Reserves FTS.
Yes you can. USSERA applies and they can't fire you
What rating did you enlisted to ? Does it offer opportunities to go on orders ?
Prior service need to attend basic training again?
No
