Just took the biggest crash I've had in 13 years of mtn biking. My head took most of the impact. I would be in the hospital or dead if I wasn't wearing a helmet. But I had a Speedframe Pro helmet on that I have worn for at least a year. After the crash I had 0 symptoms of concussion. Never lost consciousness. Just a tiny bruise on my forehead where the initial impact happened. I thought $190 was probably overpaying for a helmet when I first bought it, but I liked the look and comfort of the Speedframe so I justified the price. Now I'm sold on the protection being second to none and $190 for a helmet that can do what it did on a crash as big as mine now seems cheap compared to the cost of what less protection would have led to. I'm getting the same helmet in the new colorway, and I'm stoked to get back on my bike.... as soon as my hip and shoulder heal up enough.
Good to hear! Not that you crashed that the helmet protected you as the full face ones cracking on very light impacts people are reporting and had me slightly concerned with my speedframe pro 24 cracking and slicing my face like others are reporting with the full facer!i spent an absolute fortune on not being up to the job!
Im having abit of a skin reaction on the forehead with the Iconic + on my 2024 speedframe pro they are amazing for the sweat being a heavier rider its one issue now that is gone and that impresses me with it! But might need to change the front pads to normal pads soon I've notice getting red mark dots n rashs with it directly on skin
So the extra padding is potentially thicker? I checked with the extra bag of pads I have and they seem like the same exact size. I have a large and wish it fit just a little better before turning the boa system tighter
I got one of these recently after using a POC Tectal for like 5-6 years. This is a massive downgrade. It feels like a piece of plastic sitting on top of my head rather than full encapsulating my head like the POC does. Also there's no slots to put your sunglasses/safety glasses into so you have to hold your glasses or put them in your pocket where they will get scratched. Apart from those complaints it's a good helmet but man, it really just feels like a piece of plastic sitting on top of my head and yes I have messed with all the adjustments to try to make it fit better but when I put on the POC it fully surrounds my head and feels like I am inside the helmet, not just under it.
That's cause of your head not the helmet. I got the POC Tectral and hated it the moment I put it on. Sent it back straight away. We're lucky to have so many options 👍
@@Shralps Yes agreed, it’s different head shapes, BUT looking at the two helmets side by side, the POC covers more of the back and sides of your head. Also there’s no glasses slots so that’s just the way it is regardless of the head.
@@ertai222 From what I can make out, the ones designated "Blocked" are a matte finish, the others are glossy. Shame Fox don't actually explain that anywhere though.

Glad to hear you're okay man

Just got one today at Sports Basement they have 50% off on Fox Helmets and they only had one in Camo in my size so I had to get it
What is the best helmet with the largest visor that can really block the summer morning sun here in Texas when it is the only cool time.
great helmet, just ordered one.

What is the Speedframe Pro "Blocked" difference? Just the colors?
Correct. That is just a different color.
I was wondering the same thing. Good to know.

@@spencertidd Thanks for the info.
Does that free shipping policy apply to EU countries?
Sorry, free shipping applies to the contiguous United States only.
Can you remove the visor?
The visor is replaceable so you could remove it if you wanted to.
Is the thumbnail red or maroon? Thanks
More of a maroon than a red.
Why not show it on your head?
What do you suggest for someone that is in between sizes? (56cm)
The small didn’t fit me at that size
Medium
56 is a medium
Medium or large for 59? Thanks
