    This is crazy! I love how it turns something organic into some that is super digital pretty much how i perceive how psytrance should be, epic tutorial.

      i was thinking it was doing the opposite. karplus-strong is usually helpful to add organic string-plucking-style resonance to synths and digital sounds.

    Going through this KiloHearts playlist. Music production make me want to go back to middle school, high school and college to really focus on music haha. NOW I see why physics and more advanced math, music history, etc is important to have, at least, a general education in. Haha. Thank you sir!

    Hey man,
    I know you're getting told a lot that you are doing the best tutorials out here. So probably it kinda lost the meaning for you when you're told so.
    But I think I speak for a lot of people when saying that you have increased the level of production we are on a lot and that we appreciate the shit out of those valuable informations! Like really!
    Definitely gonna subscribe to your patreon tomorrow to show a little bit of this appreciation!
    Thanks heaps! 🙏🏼

    Thanks for the tutorial, interplanetary travel sound as always. I have been looking for some aplications that enable me to create sound and pitch it so it can be turned into a note. It is kind of a challenge for enhancing my knowledge about sound desing. You have another video about sound desing that makes the sound of a tenis ball into a kick which rekindled an old thought of creating sound out of anything. Great tutorial as always. Thanks for taking your time and spread knowledge and insights about sounds.

    Hey, very cool. Thanks a lot! I was noticing *exactly* the same effect using the grain effects available in many other plugins and built-in effects in various platforms (pitch shifter in bitwig, e.g.), but I didn't carry the idea through to the end. Now I'll go and see if I can get the same results. Also, I was noticing that if you use an lfo to modulate various parameters (eq center frequency, e.g.), at audio rates, you can also create pitches with weird and interesting timbres.

    With vocal samples, like speech, with no regular pulse, you can impose a rhythm either through gating using something like Gatekeeper, or using random chopping in something like Looperator. Alternatively, use rap vocals approprately warped to fit the groove in your track. Good tutorial, reminds me a lot of similar stuff I did using Reaktor, Slicex and some tuned fx vst that Roger Lynn put out years ago, (the name escapes me on that one).

    All recursive digital filters based on some kind of delay. Oversimplified -- some last (with freq. based delay) samples added and subtracted to/from current sample.

    The resonator is also available as a sole plugin, but can one still modulate it by midi pitch? Just as shown here? Also this basically is like a granular synth with a continuously moving sample, correct me if I'm wrong.

    How to send MIDI information to snapheap in Logic ?

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think in logic, you need to create another MIDI channel and assign it's output to snap heap

  • @semilocybe
    @semilocybe 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Anybody can tell me how to route midi information from one channel into snap heap in Ableton? I can only route the midi information into a new channel but snap heap doesn't seem to pick it up from there...

    • @semilocybe
      @semilocybe 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never mind everybody. It worked after restarting Ableton 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @markderv
      @markderv 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Create a midi channel and put a midi clip with a selection of notes in it and loop it for the length of the track. Then, in that channel's midi out drop down menu, select the track with the audio and Snap Heap on it and then in the drop down below that, select Snap Heap again. (Don't put an instrument in the midi channel or it doesn't work). You should now see the midi translated into activity in the midi tab of Snap Heap.

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, they come each as their own plugin, but can also load inside the host stuff like Multipass/Snapheap/Phase Plant, but can be used totally independently! I do suggest the full bundle, as the creative potential with all the plugins is insane.

    Why they always release modulators, resonators and saturators that distort awful the sound?And they are very expensive.
    Why companies don't think to release smart ai that de-ess the sound or denoise by learning the characteristics from a song from cd, and then putting another song (for example a vinyl master that has sibilance and noise) and make it clean?
