Thanks Doc, I have a couple of videos finished and posted that will be coming out on this project soon. But you're right, Life can get in the way if you let it. Thanks again for watching.
Glenn, I like the second option for the variable speed unit. Also I have a couple power tools; tablesaw and old wood lathe that the motor pivots, so as you adjust blade for tablesaw the motor kind of rocks and uses gravity for tension on the belts. Doesn't use the entire weight of the motor, if you imagine hinged at bottom and center of motor is 1/3 back from hinge motor.😊
I kind of decided how I was going to mount the variable speed unit. Having a pivot point and a way to lock it in after setting the proper tension. I'm still undecided about the motor. I have a video coming out in two weeks. Saturday, making the variable speed pivot bracket. That would be 9/7/24. Thanks for watching.
I'm glad you found it funny. I just uploaded a real video showing some progress on the Big Motor Upgrade project and should be out next weekend. Have a great week and thanks for being part of and commenting on my channel.
Yessir!... Always life gets in the way of "important" projects.
Amazing work (engineering) as usual Hulkster!

It has been tough to get much done all summer for me as well. I chuckled a good bit about this one!!!

I did a tread mill motor and Amazon controller. I love the infinite speed is a great feature.
Sounds interesting. No doubt you are very mechanically inclined. Thanks for watching and commenting.
