I have that same set up except in red. It’s 7 years strong! It never ceases to amaze me how much crap it pulls out of the carpet! It’s perfect on stairs too. It will sit right on the stair
I just purchased this little bug (looks like a beetle) today at my local vacuum shop. I was feeling some buyers remorse on the way home. Well let me tell you, I am not feeling remorseful anymore. This vacuum is WORTH IT. I’ve already practically vacuumed my whole house and dusted with this thing. My house is spotless. Not like my Dyson that was so dirty and got dust all over my trash cans when I emptied it. Awww if feels nice to be in a clean home!
I should note the version I have says “Made in Germany” on the box.
You purchased "old stock" if it really states "Made in Germany". The unit is currently made in China.
My bulky Dyson has been relegated to only work the litter box area. I figure it's best not to over tax the Miele's filters or waste the vac bags with all the litter my cat knocks out; while the Miele handles the rest of the house like a champ.
This machine is still made in Germany today.

12:00 Just bought a Miele C1 and am so happy with it! I had a Miele years ago and then when I needed to replace I went to lower priced vacuums and was not happy with any of them....especially since we have pets. Finally decided enough is enough and came back to Miele....in my opinion, best vacuum out there! Using the attachments are so easy to put on and take off when vacuuming!
I got this vac last year, but I got the Homecare model. So 10 yr warranty and a HEPA filter. My husband hates how much we spent but he doesn't know about vacuums 😅 now it's $999 so I tell him we got a deal
I think it's truly fascinating to see how Miele has recycled designs, yet Miele has improved it and improved the features. Fantastic job!

False, this is German made.
My Flamingo dies 3 days ago after 20 yrs. Bought one of these from the same shop. Even better than the Flamingo. A turbo brush that actually works very well. The power head will pull you along. A little getting used to the soft start button.

So, you think this model is good for high pile carpet?
Something about that "pigtail" makes me feel uneasy. Why would the motor not be able to supply power to the brush head without that? Something about that just seems questionable to me.

@@bradenabbott2707 The "Homecare" is I believe, a "C-3" which is German made. The others are Chinese made...
Only the Compact C1 models are made in China "with" German components, this is a Classic C1 version.

@PerformanceReviews I just bought my first Miele vacuum, a Classic C1 Cat & Dog. I've only had it for a week and the powerbrush continuously turns itself off an on while pushing it forward and backwards. I have wall to wall medium pile carpet. I started with a height level of 3 and reduced suction, the issue continued at each height up to 5. Is this normal? A nice addition to your video's could be a lengthy vacuuming session of the powerhead being used on wall to wall carpet.

Trying to understand the carpet height adjustment. Is 1 lowest or highest setting?
1 is the lowest setting. 5 is the highest setting.
I do not like the white colour at all. I would have preferred a dark grey.

Unfortunately closest place is a city away to get this in person so i have to order online. Still excited i been looking at canisters for last week and after looking up between kenmoore and miele i decided the miele and hopefully last me good while. Our house only has three rooms that still use carpet so this should do

I watched the wrong TH-cam videos when I purchased my Shark Duofin POS vacuum. I've only used it for a year and the red light of death came on and I'm realizing how frustrating it is to work on (proprietary screws, etc). Now I'm on the market for a new vacuum and this one seems to be perfect for my small 3 bedroom home with two cats. Excellent video! I appreciate you.

Yeah it works on all the Miele c1 classics
1) I wish you had shown how to to put the mini turbo brush. It doesn’t fit well.
2) what is the use of the pigtail? I have been using the vacuum with the pigtail unplugged.
3) why is the filter installed in the machine different from the charcoal filter?
4) I think what you showed at 5:42 is the airflow indicator and not the full bag indicator. Correct me if I am wrong.

Use of the pigtail is to supply power to the power brush
The mini turbo is meant to be a tight fit, it ensures that you don’t make it fall off
That IS the bag indicator (he is a vacuum tech, trust him on that)
The Miele C1 was the best investment I've made for household cleaning, next to my Black and Decker steam mop. The mop is as easy as vacuuming now, without the expense of those disposable mop pads -- just wring out the included fabric pads in sink after cleaning and toss in washing machine. Plus I've never had a vac that sweeps and dusts as well as the Miele. About $500 all in for the mop and vac = money very well spent.
so when you remove the pad filter and install the charcoal does that mean that no more pad filter?

In the EU these are the Chinese made models. We don't have a powerhead model of these though.

There are two different C1 variants. The Compact which is made in the China plant that Miele owns. And the Classic like this which is still made in Germany.

Is this vacuum a sealed system? I would assume so since you can upgrade it to hepa and also since it's a cat and dog machine.

Nope ,you need to buy a electric model if you want that.

Yes this machine is great for that but you really should go to your local dealer and try it for yourself

Riccar? Isn't that a company that was ruined after the buyout? My Riccar overheats after a few minutes vacuuming the car. Brand new.
Found you by needing to research vacuums needed for the high end soft fiber carpet we just installed. It's unbelievable how many vacuums are on the market. We are seniors and don't need one to last 25 years. Have you heard of this soft carpet Vs vacuum problem? Mohawk carpet has a list but 75% are discontinued models. This brand is on the list . No clue what a dis cord server is sorry
Any Miele with a SEB 228 nozzle we'll get the job done for your carpet.
