Over the last eight months, I have had two breast surgeries, 8 rounds of intensive chemotherapy, and 1 month of fertility treatment (ending with an egg retrieval surgery) to treat breast cancer. Before I begin 20 rounds of radiation therapy I want to see how strong I can become both physically and mentally so I have challenged myself to 30 days of meditation and training for a 5KM run. Can we do it? YES, WE CAN!

That was my motto last year in running the NYC marathon. A friend lost his leg. My granny had trouble walking towards end of her life. Just kept saying 'run for those who can't'

“Today I’m running for everyone who can’t run.” I’m one of those people, so thank you, Bec. I often resent recovery stories like this because that’s not how it happened for me. My cancer treatment triggered a muscle wasting disease and I had to stop exercising because it was just breaking down muscle faster. It took 5 years to stop the muscle wasting and 2 years to get strong enough to start physical therapy. I’m on my 5th week now.
I often have dreams where I’m running through the woods just like in this video and it’s been so hard waking up back in a body that can’t run 5 feet. Thank you for sharing your mindset throughout your 30s. It’s made me feel so uplifted. I may never be able to run again, but hopefully I can have the same mindset shift toward gratitude for my body and what it can do. The world is a better place because you are in it, Bec.

I am there with you. My recovery story Is more like yours then Bec’s, but it really touches and inspires me to see her recover so strongly. I finished my cancer treatments as “cancer free” but was left with with several problems, one of them a lymphedema on my leg due to the damaging effects of radiation on the lymph nodes on the bottom of my back. It is not easy but I’m trying to get my self out of bed and back to the swimming pool and training again. I will not be able to run as my left leg is heavier than the other but I’m a swimmer, have been a swimmer my entire life and in the water the workout feels automatic and is much lighter to me. We have to find what make us move. I need energy to get myself to the pool at least 3 times a week. I need inspiration to move myself forward and, today, Bec’s challenge inspired me a little bit more.

I too, was a wicked sinner of the world before I opened my heart to God. I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God.
Eamon, you’re awesome. Watching your partner go through all the struggle that is cancer, is incredibly hard. I know.

The fact you did this in 30 days is a testament to how incredible you are! It has taken me 2 months to do what you did in just 1, and I came from a comfy couch, not a brutal treatment regime for cancer. You have inspired me to keep going even though it's still tough, so thank you ❤

"Lee's here in spirit for sure." As a runner and a long-time follower, I teared up at this moment just thinking about all you guys have been through over the past couple years. Running can provide us with so many things: strength, mental well-being, mindfulness, meditation... This is why we run. This is why the sport is so unique. It's not about how fast we go, it is truly about what happens between the start line and the finish line. You two are a prime example of what it means to enjoy the journey and to make every moment count. I am so moved by you. Thank you for sharing your hearts with us
Last year with no place left to turn I prayed to God in repentance then begged for help with all my heart, "I was until then a lifelong Atheist."
I then had a dream of Jesus coming before God and he spoke of the Tabernacle in perfect context, "A word I didn't know existed because I've never read the bible", and the love I felt from Jesus was unlike anything I've ever felt before - A lifetime of joy every second - It brought me to sobbing and it changed my life forever.
I've had other miracles since, a few being a light turning on in answer to deeply needful prayer 6 times, seeing a orb of light hours before a major surgery, seeing an Angel in a dream the night my mother prayed for me to see one, "Without telling me", and so much more.
Know that God and Jesus ARE real and that they love us deeply. Let go of your hatred and Imagine yourself holding the people who've hurt you. Tell them you love and forgive them and I believe we should do our best to follow, "I've failed many times", the 10 commandments.
Always have hope. I believe that love is the answer.
Bec, I’m 5 weeks postpartum with a toddler running around. It took me 3 days to finish the video and I’m so very glad I did. You are so inspiring and the love and support from your family and friends is truly amazing. I’m so glad to be able to follow your journey.
You guys make me cry ... how wonderful to see Bec out there giving it her all. I've been sick in the past few months and have struggled to walk thru the grocery store, but you've inspired me to start trying to rebuild my strength by walking. Thanks for being such an inspiration, Bec.

I’m literally crying watching this. I came out of a 2 months coma in February and had to learn how to walk, talk, write, everything again. Seeing how far you’ve come throughout the past 8 months (what ive been awake for at least) is so inspiring. I was so proud when I was able to just walk without a walker again. And now I’m getting better at balancing on 1 foot. Seems little but it’s so big for me. Thank you for motivating me. And thank you eamen for being an amazing partner!

@LaTia Chanell you've come so far in such a short period of time! My husband suffered a TBI and was in a coma for about 3 weeks. He too had to relearn all of that stuff and it took a long time. He is a walking miracle, as are you. Be kind to yourself 💕

May I just tell you: You DO look strong! I had a huge smile on my face the whole video, and when you said you don't see yourself as that strong Bec you used to know, I did not understand at first. Because you looked so strong, not just physically, but mentally. In your eyes, your smile, your dedication and your will to be healthy. I'm so happy for you and I don't even know you, but seeing this part of your journey was amazing. And just know, if you don't feel like the Bec you used to know, it's probably because the Bec now is much stronger and wiser and that's different to before, but not in a negative way ;)

You’re so inspiring. I was/are a dancer and trained 13 hours a day, but I recently got cancer, and now som days I can’t even walk to the kitchen. Watching your videos is extremely inspiring, and now for the first time since I got cancer I believe som day maybe I can dance again. Was it easy….no…but she made it and you will come through, too! One day you’ll glissando jete across the dance studio floor, more powerful than you would’ve ever dreamed. And you’ll always be a dancer, no matter what….take it from a 61 year old broad who can still kick up her dancer heels every now and then (maybe not as high as in my younger years, but 🤷🏾♀️😃😉😘) You’ve got this!!! 💓💗💓💗🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Bec, you’re so inspiriring! I’m a fat person and although I’m otherwise healthy and being able to do anything that I want with my body, I’ve always disliked it and just felt really detached from it. Watching this video was actually really emotional for me and made me proud of my body. Even if I don’t fit into the steotype and my body is ‘unhealthy’, I can still be proud of my body and treat it as something to be proud of. So thank you Bec, you’re a rockstar! One month ago my godmother lost her battle to breast cancer. Seeing you in 30 days grow from where you were to crossing that finish line is just amazing. I cried when you spoke about feeling strong and healthy and beautiful and struggling with seeing yourself as you were at that time. From where I was sitting, all I can see in my mind is you STRONG, HEALTHY and BEAUTIFUL and you are crushing you're comeback like nobody's business!! Please try in those moments to be kind to yourself, YOU ARE INCREDIBLE
Recovering from tough mental health issues myself, i completely relate to that feeling of feeling good again, so unique!!! I’m 66 now and sometimes struggle with the deterioration which comes with age, I am training to do a mini triathlon and you have encouraged me to keep going ….. and up my game. When you were talking about comparing yourself to how you were before I had just been thinking how strong, healthy and beautiful you looked!

I lay in bed with my sunburned feeling ladyparts and my multiple heating pads sending you all the hope for your fertility treatments and then your cancer treatments. Your authenticity and vulnerability surely made many cancer survivors like me feel part of a community. Thank you for your dedication to health and healing. It has meant the world to me.

I’ve been training for a 10k this summer and this has been so motivating as my race date comes close. Now as I am running I can think of Bec and how strong and positive she is and push through. I’ve never run that long before and have to walk sometimes but I am so grateful to move my body. Congrats Bec!!! ☀️

Bec, you are such an inspiration. We’ve seen your struggle. We know it hasn’t been easy for you, and yet, here you are. With so much love and support, you’ve made it through and are ready for the next chapter. May the years to come be illness free and bring you the gift of children. May each day be full of the joy and pride in knowing how strong you are. Three weeks ago, I had a mastectomy. These weeks have been challenging to say the least. One thing I’ve learned throughout these many years passed, watching the women in my family battle cancers of their own, is there are a lot of warriors walking among us. Today and every day, no matter how I feel, I find myself being grateful and hopeful and positive. I chant: cancer, you are not my friend; I did not and will not invite you to stay; you have no home here and must leave; I will not let you back in. Bec, your journey will make my journey better. Stay strong, keep smiling, and I can’t wait for your badass to nail the next challenge! ❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏼

I just want to say thank you, thank you so much for sharing your journey, for showing your vulnerability with us. My husband and I absolutely adore both of you! We love your positivity and transparency, like you said not everything will be rainbows and butterflies. I look forward to your videos so much for inspiration. I’m on a journey myself as I was in a near fatal car accident years ago that left me with a broken leg, broken knee, shattered pelvis, dislocated hip and a ton of nerve damage. Took me a year just to walk again and I found myself giving into depression and comfort in food, Before I could even realize what I was doing to myself and my body I had gained so much weight and now that I’m in a WAY better state of mind I struggle to not give into this negative thoughts, BUT Honestly I watch you guys now and even go back to past videos of you guys and your positivity and laughter and love just keep me grounded and pushing myself and I’m slowly getting myself back and even though it’s the beginning and I have a long way to go, here comes Beck and reminds me not to listen to those negative thoughts and see things in a better perspective, a more positive way of seeing things. You don’t know me but I will forever be grateful to you both in ways I may not ever be able to explain. I have so much love for you two and thank you for being yourselves and helping me find myself again in the process. 🫶🏻

I've really been struggling with my health and mental health the last 2 years. I SOBBED (happy / proud tears) multiple times throughout this video. GO BEC 🎉 I WILL BE AT THE OCTOBER 2ND CIBC Run For The Cure and although I have always only walked this event in honour of my Mum (my Mum fought breast cancer twice (stage 4 the 1st time AND inoperable they said - she went in a clinical trial for women who were in remission from MS, with stage 3 or higher metastatic breast cancer and all 12 were given a 3-6 month window of life. ALL 12 women are not only still alive, but thriving and NONE have had MS symptoms return, or cancer..... EXCEPT for my Mum. It came back 14 years later, other breast (she chose to not do the dbl mastectomy in 98) also cervical cancer. However, I will be adding your name to my race bib and it's an HONOUR 💫💪🦋🌻🦉🎗️💜
Do you happen to know the drug she took during the trial ? We don’t usually see such amazing results from cancer trials! I’m sorry for your loss (‘my mom died from complications of chemo) but what a gift to be given an extra 14 years when you think you only have 3 months

I’m so proud of you. I ran for abt 25 years and then my hips gave out. I had double hip replacements but I still can’t run. Watching you train for the 5k was amazing. Keep up the good work you’ll be running a marathon before long 💞💞
