Wendy if you see this look up my friend Jim Denomie, a native painter from Minnesota! His content very interesting and timely. I think you'll really dig it.
I loved this work you've done. Important

Okay, this is certifiably one of the coolest pieces I've seen on Smarthistory so far.
"I am ashamed of you, self pity has stolen your courage, robbed you of your spirit and self respect; stop mourning the old days - they are gone with the buffalo..." 🔥 Wish I'd read that at the top of this year.
"Kicked in the bellies" (which pointed to his neck?) also got my attention around 2:21.. 😂
"... I always do what I set out to do." 🔥🔥🔥
What a real OG he was... See, that's the type of self-determination, discipline, and skill I need to take into this penultimate day of orientation... Bummer I have to rush off, but I'm really excited to (re)watch this later.
The eagle feather means I kicked ass first too! 😤😂

I love this because it's the first video that the artist speaks about the piece. She's passionate and knowledgeable - you can hear it. Art has definitely been a vehicle of learning for me too.
One thing that interests me is how distinguished these men are. They're not in suits, top-hats, and other relatable regalia, but you can look at their postures and expressions and still tell they were important people who've done much. So much more than can be appreciated on an Honest Tea box.
