    The fact that Youngji has been an Hoshi biased hardcore Seventeen fan since she was a child makes this even more touching.

      Agree. I really looked forward to this episode when the teaser was released, expecting a lot of fangirling/screaming the way she did in her old show when she was just starting her career.
      But what she said in 8:36 was really heartwarming. It's like she articulated what the rest of us Carats feel about Seventeen, and I'm glad Hoshi heard it. She's truly a Carat and a horangdan.

    I think, with a group like Seventeen when you have 13 members, in order to work well, you have to be attentive and aware of each other and know what's going on. I do feel like members like Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan, while they are the "louder" members who to tend to hype up the crowd and easily turn the room in to absolute chaos, they're also the most attentive ones who know to look around, quiet everyone down, and drive the conversation towards the correct direction. Hoshi also tends to be the one who steps up as the group'd overall leader when Scoups isn't around. While I was pretty confident with Seventeen being able to stay together and all re-sign the contract, you can't help but have that slight worry in the back of your mind because at the end of the day, 13 is a large number of people to get on the same page and agree. I'm sure they all have life/career goals they want to acheive in and outside the group, so it's amazing they managed to work it out. Which, again I think is partly thanks to Seventeen being able to communicate with each other really well. This way, no one feels left out or their thoughts unheard.
    Hoshi was definitely the correct member to bring on the show, he's absolutely hilarious and his energy matches Youngji's well. Plus him being such a lightweight and getting completely wasted made it more entertaining. I think the drinking aspect does help "loosen" everyone up, but also the way Youngji talks to them just makes it feel like 2 friends catching up vs an interview. Apparently he didn't even remember crying about his love for his company xD

    omg i 500% recommend episode 7 with hyungwon from monsta x, it's the first time youngji ends up blacked out while the guest is fine and the dynamics they created were so fun and interesting to watch, it became one of my fave videos of all times (and i barely know both of them hahah)

      I just watched that one with hyungwon. He’s my ult bias and it was the best episode I have seen. I loved it so much. She had me dying of laughter because of how handsome he is. And let’s face it to me he’s the most handsome in kpop😂 which is why he’s my ult. I’m addicted to the episode. I hope he does that one.

    I have only seen a few videos of youngji, but it's crazy to me to think of how young she is, she's like 19 yo yet she seems so confident in her quirky personality, and talking personally to so many huge celebrities
    she has crackhead energy, but is also so mature, she makes these idols get emotional like a therapist bruh, it's crazy
    I think her voice being lower and raspier, and her drinking so much also give older vibes, I'd assume she's in her late 20s and not late teens

    • @__rsa_0160
      @__rsa_0160 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Because she is also a celebrity when she first debuted she was always nervous when she met big actress in korea or when she met her favourite artists but after she worked with famous people and after being in the industry for 3 years she is now more confident than ever and getting more successful year by year

  • @goldroger4970

    Youngji is so young, but carries herself very well and has a very disarming, genuine personality.
    Her interview show is just starting to take off in popularity, even internationally, and it’s obvious why-she’s hilarious and lovable. Even long time celebrities who haven’t met her are SUPER excited to meet her or be on this program and act very friendly and familiar with her.
    Even if you aren’t familiar with who she’s interviewing, if you watch her other episodes they are still very entertaining and always leaves you with this feeling of seeing a new side of the person (even if you don’t know them lol).

    I honestly think he learned a lot of his communication skills from S.Coups, who is very careful about making sure all his members are heard and understood. But also learned how to listen and make sure he and others are understood because when they first debuted he did all or 90% of their choreography. So he had to learn how to listen and also how to express what he means because he was teaching them all the choreo for hours on end.

    whenever people talk about seventeen the people being prasied for being good communicators are usually seungkwan (who i personally believe is the best communicator in the group cos the sheer level of skill needed to be that entertaining but also thoughtful in such a competitive variety industry like korea's is just idk as an introverted socially inept person it feels unreal, he analysed shows just to get better at it too) then jeonghan and joshua (the hyungs that listen to everyone)
    i never see it directed towards hoshi which is honestly a pleasant surprise coming from you, and i can't help but be convinced. to me his strength was the company he provides in general but not necessarily communication, so thank you for your insight and opinion

    Youngji is such a wonderful communicator, as a carat I would say that she is as good of a communicator if not more 😳 she really knows how to make some one comfortable in a setting. You should watch the one where she was with Hyungwon (Monsta X). You can see how his walls were broken down really quick. She’s also close to Seungkwan and she did an episode w him so you can see how they interact! I would love to see how you can interpret/breakdown Youngjis series bc I’m utterly in awe and admiration in how she’s able to talk to these big names celebrities. In think it’s also notable is that youngji as a musician is not nearly as famous as her guest so here she is freshly 20 being able to talk so freely with seniors in the industry (where seniority is heavily emphasized) is truly insanw

    Youngji is great at making her guests feel comfortable to talk and open up especially as idols have alot of pressure and controls placed on them by their companies and the public / fans on how to present themselves and what to say. Or even if some guests are shyer and more introverted she brings out a new side to them that u dont always get to see. And interviews and shows arent always like that. Youngji's show is always so funny and entertaining to watch with every single guest that comes on.

  • @magroves
    @magroves ปีที่แล้ว +13

    And also I LOVE HOSHI so much. He's so well rounded between being intense and passionate and goofy and silly.
    And you always know things he contributes in Seventeen, for example he choreographs some of their songs and others that professional choreographers create for them he is kind of the dance leader, he adapts them and makes changes so they perfectly fit the group. He's got a gift for making sure the choreo is something they can all do and shows off their overall talents. And he always lets every member shine and gives them all praise and credit. He's very showy and flexes his own skills and accomplishments a lot and you KNOW what he brings to the table but for group choreo he also has the ability to find space for everyone to shine and in interviews he compliments others so genuinely. Best relationship is with Woozi who helps write a lot of Seventeens songs...they help each other share the burden of being leaders in a 13 member group, both by being the biggest creative contributors as well as keeping everyone motivated to work hard.
    He always gives extra energy in performances to hype others up, he's always the one yelling "yeah" and you can just feel he has a radar for when energy wanes and he's like "Seventeen LET'S GO!"
    His personality is as attractive as he is

  • @Heyguhh

    So an interesting fact...soju is a traditional korean beer like drink. It goes back to the 1200's in Korea made from fermented rice. They had to switch during the Korean war to save rice for food and weren't allowed to use rice to make alcohol so they used cassava/tapioca to make it as well as sweet potatoes that would otherwise go to waste. It wasn't as good as old soju so they put in whatever sweeteners they could get away with to make it taste better and for a while sweetened soju was the #1 alcohol in South Korea. They allowed rice to be used for alcohol again in 1999 but many brands still sweeten their soju, especially the cheaper ones.
    Beer had taken off but many people wanted to support the Korean soju brands still. It became popular to mix the two because many liked the amount of sweet with them mixed, they thought it was better than soju alone, and they could cheapen their alcohol tab by buying cheap soju and support the korean soju brands that had remained through so much economic turmoil and mix it with beers they liked.
    Tradidion in soju or soju and beer is you use little shot glasses and you don't pour your own drink. Korean people definitely use food and drink well as a social experience, they always share and eat and drink together...it is unusual for a korean to eat by themself and they use it as a way to make sure people around them are involved and not alone.
    So i think the history of soju and how their tradition of how to drink it tells a lot.

    Seungkwan and Youngji also had this content so I hope you can watch it too.
