Good day to you! I am a grandpa rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your MINI VAN video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
Please update us more on this thing, not enough videos on them. I also own a 91 but it's the 2wd. I'm looking for the rain gaurds so if you happen to know where to find them please post it on the next video. Awsome job!!
I definitely plan on making more videos when we can get parts. With everything going on, it’s made it even harder to get stuff. Thanks for watching! & a few of the places I have gotten places in the past are yokohamamotors.net and grimports.com. Maybe one of those places may be able to help you out!
@@saladbar21 usually in most imports rain guards are hard to come by because ppl take them off or destroy them. I was thinking about buying one of these. Found one with 50k double moon roof 5spd. Clean for 7k
If you have ever been to Japan, they have all kinds of cool little vehicles that are made for domestic use only, this looks like one that escaped, over there, it would fit right in and no one would even look twice at you.
I doubt a Japanese person living abroad would ever import one of these instead they drive cars the majority of people drive. It's always the foreigners that want to feel what it's like to drive these cars.
Great video on that little niche market van. Does it have fuel injection and power steering? Also, I noticed you depressing the clutch to start the vehicle. Being a Japanese import, it should start without you having to do so. The manual (standard gearbox) vehicles in most countries of the world start without you having to press the clutch. Just make sure the vehicle is in neutral. The only reason you would depress the clutch to start a manual car in other counties is if the car is in gear, because you don't want to bunny hop.
The van has a carburetor and power steering. I know fuel injection is available, but I don’t know when that option became available. & you’re right about about not needing to press the clutch. It’s habit now since all my other cars need the clutch to be pressed in when I start them 😂.
I’m waiting for one of these garage mechanics to swap in some powerful motorcycle engine and transmission just to “see what happens”. Someone in Britain did this in a bright blue van and it ran like a scalded dawg, but I don’t remember them talking much about the new engine. Meh, maybe I forgot.
People typically put wheels and other visual modifications. There’s not much after market off the shelf stuff for the engine, you can still get a lot of stuff for maintenance.
Prices have gone up over the last year. The cheapest ones in my area sell for around 6k and prices go up from there. The most expensive ones I’ve seen were selling for around 10k.
Dude!!!I just bought an acty pickup. I see you live in oregon, I do too. How did you acquire licensing in oregon for yours? The place in Portland said I would not be able to register mine. Any help would be great.
Unfortunately, the van was already registered when my brother bought it, so it was grandfathered in. I have talked to some people who ended registering their KEI vehicles in Washington.
what's it like trying to get these registered? I'm currently looking at getting a 1992 mitsubishi bravo turbo and I'm trying to determine if the dmv classifies these as microtrucks or not since that creates problems here
This was already registered in Oregon when I got it. When my brother imported his Nissan skyline, he just went to the DMV with the import paperwork. For the most part, it’s straightforward depending on the state you live. For whatever reason, I’ve talked to other people in Oregon who have had issues registering their kei vehicless.
Yup, my brother still has the van. He and I use is it for trips in town, like going on a parts run. The van is great around town, but it’s terrifying on the highway. I think it’s fine to daily, just avoid the Highway and be mindful of the maintenance schedule because somethings may have to be imported.
@@saladbar21 hey I appreciate you for replying to me, thank you very much for letting me know and sometime in the news future I’ll get one because they’re not really that expensive and it looks cool to have one and I’ve also been to thinking of getting a Honda Element, and again thank you!
You order them online. Here are some vendors that sell Acty parts. I was going around 45 mph(the posted speed limit on that highway is 55 mph). The car on its own felt unstable at those speeds plus passing cars caused the car sway.
Here is a good website with information on Honda Acty’s. Also I would recommend looking up Honda Acty Facebook group’s. There is some good information on there. Mini-truck Talk: minitrucktalk.com
salad-bar21 Oh! alrighty lol thats fine, Also, Thats awesome! And about the van: Holy hell do I want to find one XD, I live in rural area thats 90% highway with 0 traffic so it would be fun as hell to zip down the road in one of those

Have a nice day my friend!
Every shot of it zooming along I burst out laughing.
Someone at my campground has one of these, I guess they’re living out of it! It’s so tiny!!
I want one like this but in automatic. Since i cant use my legs well enough to use a manual 4 speed.. this is a great car to wrap and advertise
Perfect bang bus lol
Never thought of that😂😂😂
Bruh 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Dopest van ever made. Crazy how you got the rain guards for this!
Are the rain guards rare? My brother and I didn’t think twice about them.

There wind deflectors or they are in u.k
the rarer suzuki ones are better, they can actually go highway speed
I have one !! Love it!! It’s just like that!
They are fantastic little vans, definitely the jewel of all the vehicles I own!
Totally fresh! TY for the spin. :)
There are allot of "for what it is" and " that is a little sketch". By "unique" you mean "death trap"?
Great video, enjoyed it.
Sir,I daily drive a ridiculous cammed zo6 and I am deff going to buy one of these..I guess I'll be doing 89kmh on the highway
Looks so cool!!
The car definitely has charm of its own, thank for watching!

Post 94 models are fuel injected
Nick Kings not always. My 98 street V is carbed
How do you take off the side step? Looks like it needs to be ground off.

Love your contents and voice. Subbed from Japan
I am glad you enjoy the videos, thank you for the support!
Thanks for the video! :D
I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!!
I was going to buy one to make like a little camper van. But the mid engine isn’t going to allow that :/
1:12 dont just turn the key and wait for it to start up.. step on the accelerator as your turning the key... it will start RIGHT UP instantly !!!
Loved the video! Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Is there enough length to lie down in the back? I'm thinking about making a tiny camper in one
I love utility based vehicles. Always have.
These oddball utility vehicles definitely have a charm about them!
Pump the gas pedal twice before you turn the key. Surprise! you learned something.
You were on highway 20 when you said or were going onto 34 lol
I get them mixed up all the time 😂😂
I’m looking into getting one how modable is the engine, suspension, breaks, and everything else? Also how many miles per gallon does it get

awesome.. I just saw one in Eugene.. I noticed your plate.. maybe it was yours, although the one I saw was dark green I think..
I live in Albany, so it wasn’t me. Although I do plan on going down to Eugene soon with the van to do some off roading.
That's how I feel on my 91 wagon lol cars push u for sure
1991 car manufacturers cared about blind spots. You could see everything
Imma buy one!
What are these things going for? There’s a few for sale in my area? Not really sure the price accuracy or the parts availability
Prices have gone up over the last year. The cheapest ones in my area sell for around 6k and prices go up from there. The most expensive ones I’ve seen were selling for around 10k.
It's so cut and comically small. I'd have so much fun moving the engine to the rear so I can endlessly do wheel stands in it.
A. This thing is awesome. I am looking to get the truck version soon.
B. What camera are you using?
I’m using an old go pro. I think it is the 7.

If you don’t mind me asking . How much was the import fee at the port when picking up the van ? If you bother remembers ?
We have no idea what that fee would be. My brother bought the car after it was imported, he got lucky!
what's it like trying to get these registered?
I'm currently looking at getting a 1992 mitsubishi bravo turbo and I'm trying to determine if the dmv classifies these as microtrucks or not since that creates problems here

91年だからチョークは無いのかな?オイラのアクティーストリートは2気筒キャブだったから
Coolest van 👍
Thanks!
You're awesome
¡Me encanta !!
It's similar to the Maruti Omni which used to be sold in India
In the Philippines we convert the steering wheel to the left. Is it illegal to do it in the states?
I can speak for the states, but in Oregon, I wouldn’t have any issues converting to lhd.
How much does that cost?
Nice video I just subscribed to you and do you still have this car do you recommend this car for just daily driving in town only?

do you think that I could fit a Mountian bike in the back?
with the back seats down, a mountain bike would definitely fit.
great comentary
Thanks!
how tall are you? idk if i would be comfortable in one of these
I’m 5’6’. I’ve had a taller friend in the car who is around 6’1’. He was not very comfortable.

Good gracious I had one of these. 😱
Should have kept it, I can’t see myself without mine!
i got a honda vamos. nice little car .so funny
The elcat van is like this but is electric and is considered as finnish
but how fast was it going on the highway??
I was going around 45 mph(the posted speed limit on that highway is 55 mph). The car on its own felt unstable at those speeds plus passing cars caused the car sway.
And I thought my manual Fit revved high on the highway 😳😄
This thing definitely loves to rev out. It’s the only way to make it go anywhere 😂
Kei van is so awesome-ly silly
Yes it is😂😂
I want one so bad
What's it fuel capacity?
I believe it’s just under 10 gallons(or around 37 liters).
Mpg?
It gets about 25-30 mpg. The carb needs to be rebuilt, so it probably should be getting more miles to the gallon of gas.
It’s ironhide from transformers
Super interested in one of these. Is there any forums I can look through? I’m curious if there are any good engine swaps?
Here is a good website with information on Honda Acty’s. Also I would recommend looking up Honda Acty Facebook group’s. There is some good information on there.
Mini-truck Talk: minitrucktalk.com
Those things are only made for Philippines cities or Japan cities lol...
Imagine vtec swapping that dammm
That would be very interesting 🤔
Good luck staying right side up, my 94 sambar is so top heavy just driving back roads you can feel it wanting to tip.
When your knees are the crumple zone 😂
What’s the mileage on the clock?
So true😂😂😂😂 & if I recall correctly, it has around 100,000 km on the odometer. Although who knows how accurate that is🤷♂️
Hey man! Really weird question about the Hoodie tho, r u a furry?
No, I am not a furry, I do not know what that is. I got the hoodie from a organization that rescues dogs.
salad-bar21 Oh! alrighty lol thats fine, Also, Thats awesome!

You keep calling it a car. Its a fucking VAN
I know it’s a van. It’s not a big deal to me that I refer to it as a car often🤷♂️
