Some tunes transcend time, capturing a fleeting yet profound moment in history. Trance music in the 90s was more than just a genre; it was a collective experience, an ethereal journey that bound people together through sound. The beats were hypnotic, the melodies enchanting, and the atmosphere electric. It was a time when we could gather, united by the rhythm, and feel the energy pulse through us as one. The sense of connection was tangible, as if the music itself carried an unspoken understanding, a shared emotion that words could never fully capture. That era wasn’t just about the music; it was about the feeling, the moment, and the magic of losing yourself in the sound, only to find yourself amidst a sea of kindred souls.
I have to say after all these years and the amount of parties that Brandon has put himself through how good his memory is, and Danny still is a legend, I worked at Es Paradise back in 2000 when I was 16 starting as a poster boy and meeting Danny for the first time over the road at the cafe and feeling such warmth and comfort from him. I have many great memories from you guys.
One of the best podcasts ever. Was glued to it. I didnt miss a word of it. Dont't think I've seen Brandon since seeing him DJ in the 90's. Pleased to see he is still going strong. Hats off lads. Brought back so many memories of the 90s this did. Brilliant. More of this Dodge pls 🙏
Can relate to Brandon and Danny in so many ways regarding Addiction and the club scene ...my Addiction ended in heroin and crack cocaine habits, after going through the complete menu alcohol glue gas acid speed ecstacy and cocaine before ending up on the NASTY ... I been clean and sober for 9 years now and have never looked back ...enjoyed this podcast keep up the good work
I lived in Madrid Spain in 1995-97. Fantastic clubs, and visionary producers. I made my pilgrimage to Ibiza in 1996. Rented a Vespa and had access to the island! Incredible experience! Thanks for sharing guys, brought me right back.
I remember going to see Blocko in Southampton back in the day and he was so out of it he managed about three records and couldn't continue. It's a real shame. With his personality he could have become one of the biggest names in the business, but is remembered more for his partying than his accomplishments in music. That being said, he's found his feet helping people in need, so all power to him.
Went to Ibiza in June 1996, still got all the flyers from back then, bought a nice frame and they are on my bedroom wall. What a holiday that was, Es Paradis nearly every night for 2 weeks.
I absolutely loved Brandon Block and Alex P together. My most fav memory. Think it was Xmas Eve Eve 96/97. They played The Network, Belfast and place was absolutely pumping, both of them sharing and necking a bottle of vodka straight whilst mixing on decks, everyone going nuts at the set played. Lights came on and crowd went nuts for them to keep playing and they did, so lights went back off. Once the night was finally over, crowds of us outside the club waiting on taxis home - and it started snowing. Magical night. They always created a special energy when they played.

Laugh out loud funny in places, great interview! Clockwork Orange at Camden Palace in the mid 90’s. Went pretty much every clockwork event for 4 years. Legendary nights!
Just listened to this. I lived with Danny in the summer of 92 in ibiza. we had memories that I will have for the rest of my life. Space sunday was a must.
Brilliant. Loved this. As someone 11 years clean and sober myself these guys are an example of how you really do live your best life sober. Great work Dodge ;)
The talks about addiction are spot on. If you make it to the point of enough is enough, having just about survived, you kind of just know that's the turning point and you work on stopping. With me it was 12 years ago. Many many rock bottoms, severe self harm, homelessness, arrests, freinds dieing left and right because of their addictions and mental health etc etc wasn't enough to stop me. Hitting the point tho was the one. Weird light bulb moment and I just stopped even tho I'd tried a million times before. 12 years of waking up every day sober since then and I fking love it. Never give up and be gentle with yourselves ❤
God I absolutely loved that! What a fantastic interview 👏 genuinely could listen to you lads rattle on about your history's for another 1.5 hours 😂 loved it! 🙌
Enjoyed watching this. Clubbing in the 1990s and early 2000s was great. I went to Clockwork at both The Cross and Camden Palace, and they we were incredible atmospheres. They were amazing times. It just shows though that with enough money and the right access, the clubs and the recreational drugs could easily turn into a nightmare addiction that could ruin lives. I had many great times and in hindsight I'm glad I didn't have loads of money back then. Great to see Clockwork doing well again.
My first night in the Met in Armagh (Ireland) was a Clockwork Orange party with Andy Manston. Absolutley changed my life! The atmosphere was electric. Will never forget Andy Manston dropping JDS - Nineways, blew the roof off the club. This was a fantastic podcast, thanks v much.
I’ve got fond memories of meeting Blocko and Alex P in Space and getting an invite to Alex’s birthday party on the terrace I think the day after. In good English fashion I sorted Blocko out with a pill, never forget his dad was there , wearing an Hawaiian shirt. Unbeknownst to us there was an under cover reporter from The Sun in there who captured the whole episode! Realised months later when I was watching a programme about Ibiza and it all flooded back! Good times😂😂
Brandon played a reidency @ Watford - Area nightclub. He was just as enthusiastic as he was all years in the 90's in Ibiza. Big love, kindest regards, as ALWAYS, Richard U.K
I was there. Ive known Brandon for years. We first met in 92 in Ibiza. Been a close friend since. The guy has a heart of gold. He has quite a few old connections/old friends in the Watford and Bushey area. He used to spend a fair amount of time there back in the day.

Wow what memories! I've been to every single one of those nights and venues in ibiza and London. Absolutely amazing experiences and memories. The Cross was one special club, I can remember playing the bongo''s when the chap playing them went to the loo! Camden palace was great. Back in the day everyone got along and loved everyone else regardless. ❤
Great episode. Nice to see Brandon and Danny so animated and excited re living those 90's memories. I'm an older raver and agree Space on Sundays was such a special place. Been to Hi on a number of occassions and it's just too rammed now to enjoy the night. We go to Ibiza a few times a year and now just enjoy the island not doing the mega clubs. Much prefer doing the daytime parties such as Tannit Beach, occasional Pikes. The island is magical and keeps us going back, it's our spiritual home. ❤
That was a brilliant podcast. Very nice guys and empathetic to others and what can happen in the whole club scene. I hope a part 2 will be in the not to distant future. Lots of best wishes to all of you.

Could listen to these billy bonkers boys all day with their tales. The 80’s and 90’s were the best. Ibiza was amazing now it’s to expensive and soulless. Was a regular at clockwork in Camden palace. So glad Andy and Danny have brought back clockwork 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Angels in Burnley he was thrown out I was there dam they was good times even the que for that club was fantastic stood for 4 5 or 6 hours to get in the club meeting people from all over the country all there for the same thing FUN brought back some happy memories for me thanks
Absolutely blinding interview, easily could have listened to another hour and a half. Started raving in 2000 at 17, Ibiza, Helter Skelter, Slammin Vinyl, free parties etc. Had an absolute blast growing up. But defo feel I would have loved to have done it in the 90’s for sure 👌 And fair play to these guys for. It letting that lifestyle grip them and coming out the other side. Big ups
I’m 60 I first went Ibiza in 1968 aged 5 with my parents . I went without my parents in 1979 with my girlfriend at the time Elaine . I’ve posted some photos on Ibiza in the past etc. It all changed in Ibiza in 1988 noticeably ? I remember The Project Bar in San Antonio , Trevor Fung, Paul Oakenfold . Ian St Paul etc . I never put myself about much BITD .
I went Ibiza with my then girlfriend Elaine in 1979. All thru the 80’s &90’s. In 1999 I sailed there with a mate from the U.K., lived there on the sailboat from 1999 in Ibiza town marina’s until 2007. Kelvin A sometimes asks me for advice from 1979/87? It was a special place BITD . It still is but it’s very expensive & a lot more people there. Some of the people who go now I went to get away from BITD . 💊🪩🎧🎤🎚️☮️🌈☮️🆒🙏😍
Dodge brought a lot of crazy memories back from Ibiza ,Quality years of the rave scene these 2 were off their heads back in the day.and still are Lol..😂😂😂😂it was great to be part of those times ..
Went to clockwork 94 Ibiza and a few years after . They are right about EsParadise , felt special in there. Drove past Es Paradise a few months ago. Like an old dame still standing there. Loads of great memories.
This was incredible. Pls get James Mitchel on if at all possible. He's mentioned here a few times. Started the Space Terrace with Alex P, but also his stories of the original raves in the UK are just face melting. And the in depth questioning here is just next level. Respect to all 3 of you for being so open and going really deep. This interview is one for posterity and I think will really help alot of people. One of the best I have ever seen.
So endearing to hear from two of the biggest caners, at probably one of the most hedonistic periods of mankind. I think many who enjoyed those times have had their own coming to terms with usage. I’m 4 years into sobriety, to own your emotions rather than booze or gear controlling them is a level of clarity that reminds me of doves back in 92. Full circle.
Anyone who can do 28g in a night and live to tell the tales is absolutely legendary.. Well done again Dodge, another absolute mega interview ❤.. Was only a kid back then myself but wow.. Love watching these brother and please keep doing it the way you do mate. Best interviews and chats I've ever heard from some amazing people from both sides of the pallet. There's Only One Dodge Woodall ❤. Love you big man, keep em comen
You can’t go through 28 pure it was more like 5:1 he was going through defo😂even the Colombians who whiff all day long only get through a couple of gs at most, this is the trouble with things being prohibited, you end up with other crap mixed with the gear and in places like that you aren’t sending it off for testing you’re just getting it and racking one up😂
Nice one Dodge.....couple of lovely fellas, seen Blocko plenty of time and as for Clockwork goes down as one of the best club nights in history!! Paddocks Holborn.....takes me back!!😂😂
AA and CA is a fellowship of men and women who addict’s alcoholics who help each other when I first came into rooms it blew me away just like Danny I knew I come home but I wanted more then anything I was busted I fully surrendered game over I had gift of desperation ❤️🙏✌️
Didn't that just fly by...FMD what a pair of raving DJs. Was lucky enough to meet Brandon with our mutual friend Gillie in the China Jump in Hong Kong in mid 90's...had a few beers ! ! !
I'm pleasantly surprised how articulate Brandon and Danny are considering how much gear they did especially Brandon, magic era in Ibiza and I was there, loved Bar M
self policing is a blessing i know that now,at the time i thought i was too scared to go over the top ,the boys survived all that and are having a better time now fantastic story
Thank you both sitting up watching and listening so relevant to me my early life very similar to Danny proud off you both l need to change thank you again
Loved this podcast.. this was my generation and spent times there at clockwork O 99 Met Danny and a mate worked as a promoter Amazing recovery stories too 👏🏼
I've had some of the best nights of my life in Es Paradise when I went for a few months about 7 years ago. I imagine back in the day it was next level but for me it's still a great venue and proper Ibiza vibes.
I really enjoyed this guys!! It’s not often I listen to a podcast all the way thru. Really interesting stories, laugh out loud moments and really took me back to those magical Ibiza days. And how you’ve both turned your lives around from being heavily addicted to drugs to being drug free for 20+ years and now helping others, absolute credit to you, 👏🏼💙🙏🏼
I spent the season in ibiza, back in 99. Drugs, women, trance & hardhouse. Man, what a concoction. It was the perfect mixture, lol. The ultimate wild ride. I'd gone on my own little crusade to find shangri-la, and boy did I find it.😂
Nice one lads, glad to hear you got through it all, it's not an uncommon story either, my mate went through a similar experience but never made it out unfortunately, so keep on keepin' on
I was born in 88 and my 1st time in Ibiza was the year whigfield - Saturday night came out, 93 I think. I was 5 years old staying on caravan park with my family in a place called Es Cana. We went every year for 6 years, and I had no idea about the night clubs or that side of Ibiza. All I cared about was getting a fake Inter Milan top, a hena tattoo and playing pool. I remember when we went in 98 we had a day and evening in Ibiza Town. I was 10 years old and had never seen anything like it, I was mesmerized. Also that year we stayed in a hotel instead of the caravan, but still in EsCana. Jill Dando and a film crew came to our hotel to film an episode of the holiday programme. I've lost count the amount of times I've been back to San Antonio and Playa Den Bossa as an adult with my mates, but I will always cherish those memories as a kid in EsCana.
I’ve been into house music since about 1990/91 listening to 808 state on sunset 102 then started going to bowlers and finishing up at Sankeys then warehouse project. Always heard of Brandon block but don’t think I’ve ever heard a mix of his, let alone seen him live. He was always well known but he completely passed me by. Not sure who the other guy is
Absolutely bang on it stopped being fun I was fucking mental but today I’m Free I’ve got freedom still love my music but I’m completely present x ❤️✌️🙏
Great listen lads well done on this. I just over 30 and after many Ibiza trips throughout my life I thought it went down the pan when space closed this made me rethink. If only I was born 20 years earlier I would of seen better parties. Fuck me I couldn't live without the internet though 😂. Crazy to think there's thousands of groups of friends who have many stories to tell of their treasured and. crazy memories from their trips to the white isle over years. It's all owed to people like you who started it all ❤️

Angels in Burnley he was thrown out I was there dam they was good times even the que for that club was fantastic stood for 4 5 or 6 hours to get in the club meeting people from all over the country all there for the same thing FUN brought back some happy memories for me thanks
Mint as ever..... love it the golden years! Smashed it.
All this super star DJ stuff is absolute ballocks that wasn’t are scene it was about the music the people and those little fellas helped ❤️✌️🙏
Absolutely blinding interview, easily could have listened to another hour and a half. Started raving in 2000 at 17, Ibiza, Helter Skelter, Slammin Vinyl, free parties etc. Had an absolute blast growing up. But defo feel I would have loved to have done it in the 90’s for sure 👌
And fair play to these guys for. It letting that lifestyle grip them and coming out the other side. Big ups
Great this, I really enjoyed this, I am looking forward to meeting use 😉
Love this I remember seeing Brandon at passion in Colville early 2000 another great podcast doge thanx
Phenomenal watch this, with a really powerful message at the end. Great listen.
Golden. Amazing interview. Was there during those times.
Dodge brought a lot of crazy memories back from Ibiza ,Quality years of the rave scene these 2 were off their heads back in the day.and still are Lol..😂😂😂😂it was great to be part of those times ..
This was incredible. You should definitely make a series covering this era.
Glad you enjoyed 👍🏼👍🏼
So endearing to hear from two of the biggest caners, at probably one of the most hedonistic periods of mankind. I think many who enjoyed those times have had their own coming to terms with usage.
I’m 4 years into sobriety, to own your emotions rather than booze or gear controlling them is a level of clarity that reminds me of doves back in 92.
Full circle.
Good to see Brandon we go way back way back late 80
And I remember picking up flyers from Danny to ship out to Ibiza ❤️✌️🙏
Anyone who can do 28g in a night and live to tell the tales is absolutely legendary.. Well done again Dodge, another absolute mega interview ❤.. Was only a kid back then myself but wow.. Love watching these brother and please keep doing it the way you do mate. Best interviews and chats I've ever heard from some amazing people from both sides of the pallet. There's Only One Dodge Woodall ❤. Love you big man, keep em comen
Nice one Michael and loads more coming in 2024 😎👍🏼
Beautiful news Dodge, can't wait til the next episode bro ❤.
It's hard to believe that one man could go through 1oz of cocaine to themselves each day.
Maybe if he had a few friends to share it with.
You can’t go through 28 pure it was more like 5:1 he was going through defo😂even the Colombians who whiff all day long only get through a couple of gs at most, this is the trouble with things being prohibited, you end up with other crap mixed with the gear and in places like that you aren’t sending it off for testing you’re just getting it and racking one up😂
Love this channel 1 gram an hour come on 🤣
Must be some strong teething powder😅
Even an eighth is a good amount especially if drinking lots
This episode was next level this pair are absolute legends. Glad they are both alive and living there best lives still
Nice one Dodge.....couple of lovely fellas, seen Blocko plenty of time and as for Clockwork goes down as one of the best club nights in history!! Paddocks Holborn.....takes me back!!😂😂
That was absolutely outstanding!!! Please get these two back for a part 2 one day.
I absolutely LOVED this podcast! I've subbed for more ❤😂
Welcome aboard 👍🏼👍🏼
Jesus 🤣 this was a rollercoaster! Quality 🤣🤣🤣
Cracking interview, such incredible journeys to get where they are today. Top blokes.
AA and CA is a fellowship of men and women who addict’s alcoholics who help each other when I first came into rooms it blew me away just like Danny I knew I come home but I wanted more then anything I was busted I fully surrendered game over I had gift of desperation ❤️🙏✌️
Flipping funny! That cheered me up no end! Thanks, Dodge 👍
What a great podcast .Both are absolute legends I'm my eyes both then and now ,keep it up, Dodge, yet another top podcast .
I still have my copy of Clockwork Orange The Ibiza Experience mixed by Brandon Block and Alex P.
One of the best compilations I've ever heard. 👌😎
Superb episode, quality
self policing is a blessing i know that now,at the time i thought i was too scared to go over the top ,the boys survived all that and are having a better time now fantastic story
Legends of the game and fantastic stories. Great Podcast Dodge and can’t wait for next episode.
Good man Chris and can’t wait to get you on to tell your story 😳👀✈️🔥
Thank you both sitting up watching and listening so relevant to me my early life very similar to Danny proud off you both l need to change thank you again
Enjoyed this! Amazing those two are still alive, somebody was definitely watching over them.
Loved this podcast.. this was my generation and spent times there at clockwork O 99
Met Danny and a mate worked as a promoter
Amazing recovery stories too 👏🏼
Haven't even started watching it yet and I'm buzzing!!!
Wow! In parts tragic, in others uplifting. Loved this podcast. Walk down memory lane. Mad
I've had some of the best nights of my life in Es Paradise when I went for a few months about 7 years ago. I imagine back in the day it was next level but for me it's still a great venue and proper Ibiza vibes.
Simply Quality
Spot on ,, tales of partying 👊🏼
I really enjoyed this guys!! It’s not often I listen to a podcast all the way thru.
Really interesting stories, laugh out loud moments and really took me back to those magical Ibiza days.
And how you’ve both turned your lives around from being heavily addicted to drugs to being drug free for 20+ years and now helping others, absolute credit to you, 👏🏼💙🙏🏼
I spent the season in ibiza, back in 99.
Drugs, women, trance & hardhouse. Man, what a concoction. It was the perfect mixture, lol. The ultimate wild ride.
I'd gone on my own little crusade to find shangri-la, and boy did I find it.😂
Brilliant - glad to see Brandon Block is doing well
Dogge you the man. I can relate too all of this! Ajax lol. Brilliant thank you
Nice one lads, glad to hear you got through it all, it's not an uncommon story either, my mate went through a similar experience but never made it out unfortunately, so keep on keepin' on
I was born in 88 and my 1st time in Ibiza was the year whigfield - Saturday night came out, 93 I think.
Not sure who the other guy is
Good to hear them talk about Turnmills at the beginning. What a place! 🎉
Absolutely bang on it stopped being fun I was fucking mental but today I’m
Free I’ve got freedom still love my music but I’m completely present x ❤️✌️🙏
Great Interview, Thanks to all involved.
As said in the 1st place what an amazing interview with the greatest of peeps,so loved it
Great listen lads well done on this. It's all owed to people like you who started it all ❤️
Get Danny Rampling on, one of the pioneers of early dance/rave music
Best one yet
Much love guys ✌🏾💙
