Not only the rap songs was better in the 90s. But the rap videos back then were worth watching too, especially if you watched rap city, had all the greatest rap videos on there.
This was one of the best albums ever dropped in hip hop. Every song on this album is a straight banger. NORE had that sick style but Capone was on another level.
BIGGIE CALLED NOREAGA just before he died in LA, he wanted to be on track too !!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯 Just imagine how EPIC IT WOULD HAVE BEEN, oh my G*D !! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 One of the Illest ‘What If’ ever 😢😢 #RIPBIGGIE
Album genuinely changed my life at the age of 14 may not have been in the era it came out but this album opened my teenage eyes to a new world and went along with all my graffiti i did real nyc shit ya dig
Technically, he kinda is.. apparently this beat was made for him to use on Life After Death but he passed on it. Nashiem Myrick then gave the beat to CNN. After they recorded it, Nash felt the record was missing something. So he showed the track to Diddy and BIG when they were in LA and asked them what he should do to it. Apparently both of them gave their insight on the track and told him what little nuances to add. While they were working on it, BIG called Nore and told him when he came home, he was gonna lay his verse down for the remix. This is why this song spiritually FEELS like a Biggie song because it was made for him and he kinda co-produced it..
This album and Nore first one in terms of flow was perfect! I know people will talk about certain hit records. But his flow was so unpredictable and raw on these tapes!
NORE said "Kid you on Pluto, homoed out just like Menudo!" You can't say this no more in mainstream Hip Hop. Crazy how times changed. The question is, is it better or not?
I'd say dat "wut da game tolerates" has changed! Used 2b da game didn't tolerate alot of "sexual acts" n videos & "sexual content" on ya albums, look wtf happened 2 "Luke" & his "band n the USA" controversy, "but" u could say shit on ya record like "homo'd out jus like menudo" & nobody really tripped. Nowadays u can show "more sex" & b more explicit, but u can't "say" da words homo/fag or go@ gays n "anyway" 4 "any reason" witout be,n attacked on social media, + having ya music protested on a major level 2make sure they stop,n ya bag!
T.O.N.Y this beat is fire!! But this song is a hip hop heavy weight!! This is hard as nails!!! One of the hardest songs on the CNN war report album.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
