Thrift Store Makeover - Slurp's Lunch Box

- I attempted another Thrift Store Makeover -this time with diy storage bins. This is a fun thrift store diy - sort of a furniture makeover, basically I tried painting a box. For this diy thrift flip I tried a repurposing thrift and did some box painting. There’s not many good options for thrift store finds in my area and it was snowing outside so this thrift flip is just from the attic. This video did give me some experience on how to paint a wooden box, especially with painting on wood, and hopefully it’ll give you guys some painting on box ideas, maybe even some second hand furniture flip ideas.

Oh no, absolutely not. I was sick earlier and was happy to see a video. I really do like Jellyfish. They are beautiful dancing in the ocean. No insult intended. Definitely don't want to be stung by one.

You get snow and we get cold rain. I love the colors for the box. Peach/coral is a nice contrast for turquoise.

This is like the 3rd video that I've watched from this channel and I absolutely love it. I really like how you are just so accepting of your art. Like hey, the hands are different sizes, and that's okay. "Perfection" is over-rated. Mistakes and imperfections are what makes your art original.

This might be one of my favourite makeovers to be honest. Painting on wooden boxes is the type of thing I would do as a teenager and I loved it. I usually like the awkward transition ghosts message at the end of the videos as they remind me to stop and press like in a way that doesn't feel demanding. But this one caught me off guard when they said "if you want to save Goldie" as I have a pet Chicken called Goldie who is currently watching youtube with me on the sofa - she got an infection after cutting her foot on a glass bottle someone threw over our fence and can no longer walk so lives in the house instead of out in the coop like the others. When the ghost said her name she just looked right at the screen and clucked 😂

I’ve learned that packing tape or scotch tape actually works better for me, rubbing it down hard on the edge until it’s hard to see, it tends to work better than painters tape. In my experiences, at least.

Our thrift stores are all clothes (some of which probably remember Disco...) and stuff. You did great - always a fun vid. I envy people who find these great statues and things to convert. All I ever see is pants which want to climb off the hanger and run for it.
This is awesome and the wheels make everything cooler 🤣. I could totally feel your pain with that white posca! I love posca pens but the lighter colors drive me insane almost easier to just break out the paint brushes .

I really like this makeover! I can’t imagine how long it took to paint that really big box, I would have died and gave up painting all that space on the box lol. And I love slurp, he is really cute... and evil ☺️

Loving discovering your videos - your NerdECrafter craft kit video introduced you to me and I now giggle randomly at evil-cute things. Gesso diy: equal parts white glue and white paint (or black, or whatever), and a lil bit of baby powder/talcum powder/corn starch, then add some water until it's, like, gesso consistency. No snow shoveling needed, or leaving the house, generally
