    That idea of just head to heads is absolute genius

  • @TheChinaPlay
    @TheChinaPlay 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

    JoFahBu's idea is genius. Why let all 9 men run at the same time always. Turn it into a mix of Boxing (head to heads and tape all the pre-race training hype, the weigh-in, etc) + Best of 7 series (like bball, baseball etc.) AND this way you could have sprinting events happening several times a week rather than everyone once a week. I'd also like to see these guys do everything from 40 yard dashes and 150m to 400m . Why not monetize all your training reps, these guys are running them in practice anyways and their practice reps are still world class.

    I think being nervous in a race is fear of failure which in turn may have hints of doubt and confidence. When I watched Bolt he was the only competitor athlete at any distance that showed no fear. He truly knew he would win. Ive never seen any athletes show that kind of mental control.

    If a coach is good he can take any body and make a world best in any race from 100 meters to long distance

    • @vishaalramesh7
      @vishaalramesh7 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      That's a long stretch. A coach cannot do everything for the athlete. They need to take responsibility also. If an (genetic freak) athlete isn't disciplined as much as they need to be and working on their plan, no matter what the coach does he might not be able to be world class or improve.

    20:27 I like Fanbulleh (sorry if i misspelled) but to say one has to coach at the professional level to be considered good is immature. There are some obvious things that fans spectators and other coaches notice and them pointing it out doesn't mean they're trying to coach you. Doesn't mean they're trying to live through you either. I'm a musician, and a coach and former runner... Everyone had a secret tip to give.. As long as they were not disrespectful i just nodded my head, and sometimes i would engage just for conversation sake but i wouldn't trip. I also didn't grow up in the era of Internet. So I do understand that that may be a big deal to current generation.

    • @dennisrobinson8008
      @dennisrobinson8008 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      TRUE. Coaches and athletes alike will suffer from "confirmation bias", which means they are locked into their system or the "way they see it" and there might be something very visible that they can't even see...

      why

    • @babylonianentertainment6474
      @babylonianentertainment6474 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @noahlyles18 noah come on man. You know why. It only happened once in history and we see how that happened. Back then it was dispute as to who was worlds fastest man. Today Noone really sticks out. There are no current world record holders running in the men's or women's 100 or 200. The men currently are not exciting enough to get intrest with 8 runners. Much less 2. The unique circumstances of 1997 made that one on one race exciting. Today track is much less exciting. Athletes are less aggressive and yall too friendly. Focus on content and doing things that get the fans excited and outside people excited instead of silly ideas that only would stroke the athletes ego. How could u even do a one on one when u not even olympic gold medalist? What would a one on one be for? Bragging rights? Focus on getting a gold medal and breaking the wr then move on to other things. You putting the wagon before the horse.
