8:06 Leave it to Swiss001 to say that a jet propelled aircraft is faster then a car. Bravo swiss001. I never understood how a flight from Boston to San Francisco takes 5 hours and a car takes multiple days. If it wasn’t for swiss001 I would have never known that a plane is faster then a car.
The combined power test was actually impressive. A setup like that might be useful for large "cargo" aircraft. Imagine a B-52 with a big extra prop engine for takeoff, landing, and taxi-ing. It'd also be useful as an emergency backup.
As a De Havilland Canada Twin Otter with Pratt and Whitney Canada engines, I can confirm this Pratt and Whitney Canada Boeing 720 hybrid thing to be a Canadian heritage moment
Hello Swiss. Nice video, as always! You should make a film about the PZL M-15 Belphegor, hailed as the ugliest plane in the world. Interestingly, it is probably the only agricultural aircraft in history with a jet engine 🤣🤣
My father worked on that 727! That’s a Pratt and Whitney test bed! We actually had 2 Boeing 720s. We had a blue one with I believe an orange stripe and then that red one you showed in the video. We also had 2 747s of which only 1 flew. Really cool to see these planes on TH-cam and be able to say “I walked through that plane!” 😂
1:52 the engine here is the Pratt & Whitney JT4A turbojet engine, not the JT3D engine judging by the hush kits at the back. “JT3D is pronounced as “J,T,three,D.” Not “J,T,D,three.” Know your plane engines first, because it produces different thrust from engine to engine.
Also this seems like the airplane has a problem because it has a turbo prop and 4 engine for me it sounds unstable. I think it was a bad airplane probably one of the worst I’ve seen lol
Did they at least hook up the propeller pitch on the real plane? Visibility on takeoff could be greatly increased by feathering the unpowered propeller
While looking at the production list of the B720, i discovered that the Israelites also used the B720 as a radar testbed for the Lavi fighterjet, and they also put the fighter jets nose cone on the nose of the plane.
7:39 the reference to the other B720 video 🥹
The designers of the plane just saw a cursed planes video like a Ryanair A380 and said "now, lets make our own cursed plane!" and so they did.
Oh yeah, youtube was made before the 2000's, sure...
@@aleksander-1704 I forgot about that.
The A380 was made in like 2009 buddy
@@CairnsPlaneSpotter8114 I also forgot about that too. Why am I always forgetting things happened after this plane was made?
7:30 took off like an f18 on navy carrier 💀
They really tried everything on the 720. The kc135, THE RC135, THE AWACS E3, THE P&W bed test engine , like wth is this plane? That's why I LOOVE it
"So, what engine are we gonna put in this, Prop or jet?"
"Yes"

He speaks about acceleration. But it is also true that an airliner taking of give you a push from the seat.
Hahaha xD
5:20 Y'know, Area 51 needs that long runway for alien starliners to land!
3:39 I LOVE that YOU KEEP LOVING Ushuaia (Aeroclub) airport from yesterday’s video. :):)
Today's Video starts where yesterday’s video ended...

Fortnite Airliner

I’m on Fortnite rn
No,fortliner

Season 69 no way

7:30 bro thought he was in a Boeing F-18 launching himself in the catapult-runway 😭💀😭
Looks like a straight forward way to test the engines in flight conditions without risking pilots or aircraft.
Funny story: something once fell out of a Pratt and Whitney engine(badge) so I got it oh and btw
Swiss can you please do another #swiss001 vid?
i love how i saw this at trenton and then came home the next day and saw swiss upload a vid of this plane
The 720-023B looks like a plane I built in simple planes 😭
Love the Kenya Airways livery ❤. 🇰🇪🇰🇪
Nice vid swiss001 I hope to see another great amazing video from you!! 😊
3:19 aint no way bro said Trenton airport and not Canadian forces base Trenton. That was a punch in the gut lmao
That plane is like those goofy ahh planes in online games

Also I wanted to add that the red 720 had SEVERAL problems they never told anyone about and that’s why it was retired. It was no longer airworthy.
That's really interesting!
@@zeropoint3518 why did they retire the blue one is 2008? same problem?
@@JetpackBlackSpeakerman. Pratt and Whitney Plattsburgh(previously my local facility) closed and when they did the plane was recycled by Pratt Canada
The propeller on the nose😂😂
keep up the good work swiss its something that all people should watch keep up the good work man love it
Don’t say the engine could be used for taxiing otherwise you’ll give Ryanair more ideas
Lol 😂😂😂
Hahahah
I think the 720 model you're using has 4 Rolls-Royce Conway engines instead of the PW JT3D.
i love seeing my country's old liverie in this video thenks swiss
Son: Mom, can we have a turboprop plane?
Mom: We have a turboprop plane at home
Turboprop plane at home:
What the heck, that's actually pretty cool.
6:55 BUTTER!
cool vid
I'm from Brazil but I have fun with Swiss001's videos even though my English is extremely beginner
1:45 the high piched voice💀💀
3:38 even this plane have mouth 😂😂😂
Yay another episode about the B720!
Can't wait to see swiss reaction on the new a340-300
Swiss, theres a simmiliwr plane to this called the Yak-40 M602
A Q400 + a Boeing 720 would not end well 💀
Nope
I love swiss001!
They should have put that propeller on the 707, since we recently discussed how bad it performed on takeoff and landing
Hi Swiss love ur content keep it goin
cursed plane indeed
Honestly the plane looks cool
Looks like something you'd find on Craigs List 😄
You should look at the Boeing Catfish aircraft. It’s a 757 which has an F-22 nose. N757A
1:52 the engine here is the Pratt & Whitney JT4A turbojet engine, not the JT3D engine judging by the hush kits at the back. “JT3D is pronounced as “J,T,three,D.” Not “J,T,D,three.” Know your plane engines first, because it produces different thrust from engine to engine.
7:41 that have me a seizure
Small turboprop? Have you ever heard one outside nearby? They're absolutely appalling if you're not wearing hearing protection.
Very NIIIICEEEEEEEEE VIDEOOOO!!!!!!
Also this seems like the airplane has a problem because it has a turbo prop and 4 engine for me it sounds unstable.
I think it was a bad airplane probably one of the worst I’ve seen lol
Bro they just slapped a Cessna nose on and called it a new plane😂😭
Ah yes, The Forgotten Boeing 720.
Once I built that in KSP didn’t know about it until now
That prop engine with the air inlet looks like a duck face 😀
Hey, the new LVFR A340 came out for MSFS
FR?!
Yes
imma get it
Ok
lets make this dude in to 747k subs!
That looks like something I would build in ksp
Can you make a video on the Sukhoi 860 aka the A380 Rip off 😂💀
I love this
Next video: Replacing the Boeing 720 engines with the Antonov An-225 engines
Swiss I have an idea, What if you go to the most scenic airport approach in the world? aka Donegal Airport
i would hate it if someone thought of a skibidi airlines A380
At least it doesn’t seem to crash like every current Boeing aircraft…
Hello my bro
Purely Flight!?!!!?!?
None of it was Boeings fault besides the door.
@@WizzAviation21 yeah ik, it’s mainly maintenance problems and bad luck tbf
Oh hey it’s @Purely-Flight
Pick is it a Turboprop 🛩️ or Jet engine ✈️
I think it's a jet engine plane.
It's a jet engine lol
Bro needs to put NK-12s on here next
Swiss would u do a reaction on our butter landings? 😢💔
during the flight turn off the og engines and turn on the prop
Day 24 of asking Swiss to review the new A380 in Infinite Flight
That engine would be good while cruising and burning less fuel
I expected a video on the new a340 in MSFS
Before Pratt gad the B720 they used a Vickers Viscount as a flying testbed .
Did they at least hook up the propeller pitch on the real plane? Visibility on takeoff could be greatly increased by feathering the unpowered propeller
I think it was non variable. Thats why i didnt bother modelling a feathering system.
While looking at the production list of the B720, i discovered that the Israelites also used the B720 as a radar testbed for the Lavi fighterjet, and they also put the fighter jets nose cone on the nose of the plane.
the registration is 4X-JYG btw.
@Swiss001 can you have a look at Zivilflughafen Linz Ost (LOLO)
I'm waiting for a Concorde with propellers
“The FS isnt that bad!” The fs models:
This looks like my SimplePlanes Creation
Hey swiss can you try ptfs it's much better now
Beautiful carbon emissions 😎
What a nice 707- WHAT IN THE ATR 72 NOSE TYPE SMURFIN GREEBY NACKALOO USAF LOOKIN AHH PLANE IS THIS 😭🛰📓🫔🔥
The plane looks like something out of Fallout with the Red and 1950's style
6:35 flaps 5000
this boeing 720 have tests of the engines and turboprop on nose
extra ram air turbine
Basiclly the modern version of italian bomber, s81
All testbed aircraft look highly un-aerodynamic
earliest i’ve been! hi swiss!
Can you run the turbo prop ... backwards?
B17 and 747
Same testing thing 🫡😅
FAA approved 😂😂😂😂😂
Look like some thing i'll build in Simple Plane
That looks like an otter
20 minutes early sir Swiss001
