Just today I dropped Joe Cobb's corpse on Easy Pete's chair after he left to go to home at night. I wanted to see what Pete would do if his chair was already occupied, but after a full day he never came back. I checked on him a few times throughout the day and he was always at home sleeping. I concluded that if anything occupies Pete's chair, he slips into a coma and never wakes up again.
If old Shaun was a synth that would have been a nice surprise if you side with the institute. His existance wouldve only been to manipulate the SS to be loyal to the institue and thus stop the other factions from destroying them. Shaun's stupidly uncurable cancer was then just an exuse for keeping the loyal SS from finding out their deception. The institue are just so stupid in fo4 any kind of evil planning couldve made them less of a joke faction.

This is fantastic. You just wrote Easy Pete's backstory, as a shapeshifter who took over his identity. Now when I re-play this game, I'm gonna pretend Easy Pete's an imposter the whole time. XD
i was actually just doing this play through before i got recommended this video except i also lowered my hitpoints to easy pete’s which is 65. Having less than 65 hitpoints is very difficult lol

Regarding saving President Kimball, the easy way to go about it is to first go and wait for the legion sniper to try and replace the NCR one; they'll be easy to take down since the NCR sniper will help you kill them. Soon as you're done, go disarm the bomb and warn Ranger Grant about it. Doing things in this order has gotten me through the quest reliably through several playthroughs and mod lists.

A lil gun knowledge.357 is not a .38 or .22 it’s .357 that the circumference of the shell with gun powder so it packs a lot of heat behind that lil round definitely not something you shake a lambs tail at and the cowboy repeater should also be used since it’s a .357
Idea: Can you beat fallout new vegas without healing? No healing items, no bed resting, nothing that regenerates your health. If you take damage, that's your health for the rest of the game until it gets lowered more.

When you're going to the boomers, you can run along the base of the cliff left of the road to the town thing, it's the only way I've ever gotten to the boomers
Theres a trick when approaching the boomer base. Go the normal (not the tunnel one) route. The moment you exit the canyon you see a destroyed building on your left. Theres a corner of the building still standing (facing towards Nellis). Stand in that corner and wait until the salvo stops (10-12 shots) and they need to reload the howitzers with takes around 20 secs, enough time to run for the fence.
You don't have to kill Mr. House, technically. All you have to do is disconnect him from his network by opening his antechamber. He'll die in a few days due to exposure to toxic particulates in the post-nuclear atmosphere, but you can confidently say that you didn't directly kill him.
Just hug the rock wall by the boomers and run like hell much easier and safer than trying to hide from the blast. turbo makes this more effective but still can be done very easily without
This is kinda similar to my no-DT Santa Claus run and yeah it's pretty difficult. Toughness + sub-dermal armour + Fight the Power/Sneering Imperialist helps but it really starts to pick up with companions and powerful weapons. And of course I was able to build the character. I'm rather surprised you were able to do it with low Endurance and only the .357, good job!
I'm not sure if you knew this but you can just kill the fake engineer, the president leaves from it and you don't need to worry about the sniper, just make sure you take the item off the engineer's corpse or pickpocket it.
