If you listen to the album ….”Another Day in Paradise” you can hear the unmistakable blues influence. It’s an album that isn’t mentioned much but it definitely one of my favourites of Motörhead. Lemmy did covers of many old blues songs and rock ‘n’ roll songs. He did a whole album of Buddy Holly cover. He was a remarkable man. Some constitution. An amazing lyricist and musician. There may be imitators but there will NEVER be another Lemmy.
@@dominiks.5329 then you clearly dont know as much as you thought....it is well known that lemmy hated being considered metal because he himself considered them a punk band regardless of what everyone else classified them as....again...a little research

LEGEND. One of a very, very few bands that had the balls to play in Northern Ireland at the height of all the shit. Give this man and his band the respect that's due. In particular the BOMBER concert at Maysfield around 1980, particularly SMART :-)
Born to lose but lived to win. What a f........kin outstanding musician and a truly great personality . Rock it out Lemmy . Rip. Your light will shine for evermore.
I love the fact that most of legendary rock bands at some point of their career , they go back to basics .....That proves that rock n roll it's not just distortions and loud amps ....It's the way you put the feeling in the chords!!!! long live Lemmy! Long live Rock n Roll!
When my wife and I were married three years ago we agreed that as she walked down the aisle the music would be Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major - Prelude and as we walked back together as man and wife, Lemmy's Ace of Spades (slow Acoustic) played, it seemed so fitting - best wedding ever ... it's a cruel world,
"The pleasure is to play...." Pleasure to play rock 'n' roll! Motörhead for me, Motörhead for you, Motörhead for everyone who knows what is true music.
A huge loss of one of the great, last legends of heavy rock and so soon after Philthy. We're gonna miss you Lemmy. Raising a glass of the fiery liquor to you as i type this mate.
If Lemmy's singing it, it's gonna be great, whatever it is. His covers of Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC, Twisted Sister, ZZ Top, Sex Pistols, Ramones and many others are awesome - every single one. Hail Lemmy.
January 2023. Thanks to the TH-cam 's algorithm! This amazing version of "Ace of Spades" left me speechless: I do adore it! ♥️🤟🏻♥️♠️ Lemmy, dear, you're alive in our hearts, King! ♾️👑✨♾️💫
I really enjoyed the blues version of this classic head-banging heavy metal tune. Wonderfully wicked adaptation and (blues being a retro-like) evolution of a great song. I think both versions are killer.
Wish he could've done this unplugged version when he was younger. His voice on their first couple records, not to mention Silver Machine are great. Regardless, I really dig this, perfectly suited for the gravelly tones Lemmy produced.
Lemmy on vocals and harmonica, Phil on lead and Mikkey on rhythm guitar. Motörhead was a rock and roll band with attitude. As Lemmy said; "If Motörhead moved in next door, your lawn would die." True gentleman and gifted musician and lyricist who lived life to the full and held no regrets. He was truly a free spirit and will be forever remembered. Rock In Peace
you know, i never even realized that the song (best song of all time) is bluesy... it fuckin is! I mean I know the solo uses the blues scale and all but all i hear is adrenalin rushing aphetamine feuled badass speed thrash punk biker metal rock n' roll.... but listen to this stripped down take, apparently at its heart its also an evil robert johnson blues song too... never knew it!
Can we please have a moment of appreciation for the poster of this video who said "The song was re recorded for a Kronenbourg commercial. The song was up for download on Kronenbourg's official UK site, but apparently ran out of downloads." Yes, he said RAN OUT OF DOWNLOADS. Like they are coming off a printing press or something. This is comedy gold people!
Isn't this on the "the wörld is yours" album? Spotify doesn't have it, but i remember Apple music had it it included before i switched. I need this one, it's chilling and simply amazing, i love acoustic covers, especially when there's harmonica included, or timbre echo of the guitar. Marc Bolan had a thing for it. But man i can't get this one. Streaming makes it so easy, but issues like this makes me miss the physical copy era. You buy a copy, and you have the songs that are supposed to be there. No song missing missing cause of a disagreement between the record label and the band.
Raise a glass to Lemmy - born to lose, lived to win.

Lemmy knows how to play blues, that's for sure !

Lemmy's said before that Motorhead's as much a blues band as anything. Proves it here. He's awesome. Long life to him.
thats true .. many Motörhead Sonds have the Blues scheme, just faster
I'm not a Motorhead fan.But i really respect the talent and the intelligence of Lemmy. Great performer, musician and straight talking man. LEGEND!
