    Place gasket sealer here, here, and here (didn’t show where)

    Thank you for the video, well done. Just replaced my 09 gasket for $40 rather than $200 with the mechanic lol…although those spark plug seals were definitely a pain to take off

    My wife just purchased a 2006 TSX. I noticed some seepage coming from the valve cover gasket. Thanks for the video. Weekend project now.

    Are the spark plug seals replaceable on a 2018 Acura TLX 2.4 engine?

    Can the spark plug tube seals be a reason for oil birning? I replace the pistons rings and valve seals but my K24Z3 still burn oil.

    • @AcuraAddicted
      @AcuraAddicted 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think the spark plug tube seals are a reason for burning oil. They only seal the tubes to prevent oil from seepage through them. If you don’t have oil spillage there, it’s not the seals. Also, replacing piston rings without replacing the block is a moot point, in my opinion. The cylinders are already shaped by the old rings and pistons, so installing just the new rings wouldn’t improve anything.

    So after replacing spark plugs and ignition coils, I was still getting misfires... cylinder 2 seemed to have sum oil in it and a burnt spark plug. Am I right to believe the gasket n grommets are worn and need to be replaced?

    What do u do if you so happen to break one of the valve cover head screws in the process how would you get the screw out with the screw head broken off?

    • @AcuraAddicted
      @AcuraAddicted 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need a special extractor tool. It's inexpensive, you just have to get the proper size for your bolt.

      Those bolts on the k24a2 can be removed with a 12mm open end wrench the nut is clearly visible when vc is off. Amazing he didn't snap it off using that extension!

    • @AcuraAddicted

      Thanks for your feedback! This was preventative maintenance roughly at 60K miles/100K kms. Given the cost of the gasket kit and only an hour labour, totally worth it! Otherwise you would do it if you start seeing oil leaks or seepage from under the cover or through the tubes.

      @@AcuraAddicted Good idea. I never changed my valve cover gasket and oil seals in my 2004 TSX. The oil got to my #4 spark plug and fouled the plug and coil.
