Nice!!! Can Houston be used in other systems that are not 45Drives hardware? I mean if I have my own built-in server can I deploy it as an alternative to TrueNAS as an example?
What about Ceph? It seems like Ceph is so overly fragile, convoluted, and complex that any type of automation just falls apart with managing ceph storage pools. I would jump on board some of your products if there was simply a better way to automate ceph deployments that doesn't result in some sort of weird or omitted configuration that ends up breaking the system in the long-term.
I think the way Proxmox handles Ceph is very user friendly so I think a similar system would work for 45 drives. I would not say that Ceph is overly fragile but I guess that depends on your setup and config. I give you the complexity though.
@@Anonymous______________ Great minds think alike! We have on our road map this year to build an expanded version of our ceph-deploy module that will not only make the initial build easier for the cluster but will also allow ongoing admin and maintenance within the Houston UI. Stay tuned, we will release info on this as we finish key pieces moving forward.
Great Job!!! I love the upgrades.
Love the idea of a single pane of glass going forward.
I'm grateful for the improvements. I might need a cli step by step for the upgrade from your repo. Is there a link you can post for that?
Not at the moment but yes, there will be a link to how to upgrade from repos, and how to enable the repo!
@@45Drives I'm grateful. Thanks!
Wow 🤩 Good news 👏
Great job, I'm waiting for Rocky 9
I have a great idea for TT. Can you tell about all nvme zpools and their performance tuning?
Love this idea - we'll add it to our idea list!
Do I need to have a storinator to use the new ZFS module? or can I use the module with ZFS 2.0 on any rockylinux installation?
Ubuntu 22, cool.. but hows about 24?

It absolutely can!
We're now at the end of October - are we able to upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 now? If not, where should we watch for updates on that?
Aiming for the end of next week!
Ugh, I wish I did business and got to work with 45 Drives . Open source isn’t really cool at most MSPs, at least the ones I work for I guess.
