10:24 Noticed the same thing, the top lights don't need any effect. As long as it's bright (white seems to work very well) in bringing the colors you set for the rest of the lighting you have going on in your box

I still have one of my builds in the OG Cosmos 1000. I've always loved this series of cases (mainly because of the all aluminum construction). Especially because (back in the day) I lugged it around for LAN parties all the time.
I actually bought the BeQuiet PureLoop a few weeks back for a new rig and I honestly thought I didn't have it connected because of how silent the pump is, and keeps my i7-9700k idle at 20-36C Totally worth the price

That was absolutely beautiful work by Phil, loved it! But is it just me, or does the new main camera still need a bit of tweaking - There is quite a bit of noise in the darker areas that makes it look a bit weird, but that might just be me.
Yeaaaah hahaha. 20 something year old here, running my fx-8350 with an RX-570 laughing that a kid would even worry about something like that. Although when I was 12 I did swap my laptop cpu, cause "it didnt run garrysmod good enough" But that was 3 weeks of "hard work" to pay for that $80 CPU haha!

Awesome build Jay!! secret on the rear exhaust...reverse it to an intake nd that will bring cool outside air over the CPU area and get exhausted out the top as you want. I have been doing this for years now, and it does seem to improve temps a little.
So.. that soft tubing, I thought it was an interesting choice. Didnt look fantastic like he was saying on the previous video, but when he zoomed in on the tubing and fittings when installing the m.2, omg that soft tubing is glorious! I love the soft matte look with the red accented silver fittings!
Great build and videos Jay. I agree with you 100% on soft tubing when done correctly like you did. I also think the white fan color was a great decision. On another note, Phil did another amazing job with the montage. I like the subtle little things like labeling the components as you pass over them. It wasn't too in your face, but nice and subtle. The little cues to have some of the transitions work in unison with the audio, like the one screen tear that went perfectly with the audio screech at that same moment, brilliant work as usual. Love the channel and the work you both do as a team. Keep it up and I look forward to the last few videos of Techmas and another great year of content starting in a few more days. It looks sooooo good!!!! I love how you mounted the fans so they made the resivoire look more centered then you took them out and moved them up so it looked even better. The one OCD bone I have in my body thanks you! Lol You're attention to detail and symmetry makes me really happy!!!! 🤪

@@ffwast If you comparison shop some different mobos, you'll find that most have the same features to one degree or another. In my most recent experience, Asus had the better chipset (for about $75 more than other offerings), but lacked a bit in the networking department. In the end, it comes down to what you need to have, which is why it's important to shop around with those needs in mind. The best, as Penn & Teller would say, is BS.
I love how Phil labels the core components legibly in darker areas in a nice clean font that doesn't distract you from the B rolls. Jay picks his team well :)
I have always appreciated the builds on this channel but this is one I'm truly fallin in love with it. This is the exact color combo I wish for, and the overall look of this build, I really wish I can achieve something like this for myself.
