John Deere X9 1100 Combine In England

- This video is about a John Deere X9 1100 & features a John Deere 8400R corn trailering which kicks in after 7 minutes so don’t miss some of the best bits by only watching the great close ups of the first tractor unloading on the move..
Many thanks go to Peter Harriman from Godfrey’s and the guys from John Deere for letting me film this impressive combine in action.
The machine used its 40 foot header and some of it’s 700 horse power to fly through the crop at over 10kph with next to no losses and in such a decent crop of winter wheat yielding around 10 t/ha, it really was impressive.
There are lots of John Deere tractors carting the wheat back to the farm yard but the real interesting one is the big 8400R pulling the huge Bailey Tri Axle corn blower trailer.
This video covers everything from showing the X9 filling up with diesel and then attaching the 40 foot header to then taking it off again and putting it on a lorry and pulling away to go to the next farm up near Scotland.
It was one of the best memories of harvest 2020.
I hope you enjoyed the quick taster but find the full edited film I've just finished even better.
Initially I was told it was a spring wheat but now had it confirmed it was a winter wheat.

Great video it's a awesome piece of kit, came past and had to stop and have a look, you took some great shots, thanks.
Thanks 👍
Incredible. That combine is moving at some speed!
Any combine was going fast this year as the yields were way down and so short so no straw to put through the combine.
@@farmerstephen Ah, of course 👍🏼
A great machine though, and one I'd like to see in the flesh!
👍
Best X9 video I've ever watched! Well Done!
Thanks a lot Go Bucs I really appreciate that.
Have a look at my other X9 and Claas 8900 videos I hope you enjoy those as well 😊👍
Such a great new innovation new holland only had twin rotors in 1970
Actually was 1975, and are you forgetting about Claas? Oh right because your a brand blind idiot who prob only hates JD 😆 its also pretty houmerous since Claas and John Deere both have twice the product New Holland has
@@andrewhofer9815 John Deere is overpriced manure and don't hold a candle to New Holland, there is no value in John Deere compared to New Holland, you're paying for the paint. It is also company that is a marketing whore (which is why they sell, it's not because of the quality of the product) It's also a company that wages a war on farmers.
As for Claas they make for great quality products (of course, it's German) and it is also family owned.
Lastly, the John Deere X9.1100 still can't beat the old NH design, which is now going on 6 years.
Deere dwarfs New Holland, and they dwarfed them in 1970 too. Deere has many "firsts" patented. None of your silly childish nonsense will change that.
@@erichamilton5932 Where is the proof that it can't beat it? What does that even mean?? Deere far outsells New Holland. Do you think they care?
The bigger the combine the bigger the trailer and tractor. Some toy .....nice one
Hi Stephen
Yes they were both absolute beasts to film.🙂👍
@@ANDYOLDRIDGEFARMINGVIDEOS JD ....8400R on carting duties with Bailey trailer ??
Thanks for the claas 8900 recommendation, the Directors cut was another enjoyable watch, plenty of horsepower and dust, keep up the great work.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nicee
I'm soo proud to harvest my Indian fields in John deere harvester
Hi I’ve just released a new shorter version of the X9 video which I think you will like, have a look on my channel and let me know what you think 🤔
Great video Andy
Thanks Melvin 😊👍
Hi Andrew another Quality video of some impressive kit Thanks
Thanks 👍
Great video, well worth the build up
Glad you enjoyed it
Anybody else watching this who can remember walking behind the Binder, stooking sheaves. Most farms then were smaller than that field...
Hi Oliver
You are right, 100 + acres used to be a reasonable sized farm back in the day but now it’s just a days work for some machines!!
There’s not many people left now who actually operated a binder, well done 👍
You can not beat a Claas.
Hi T
Both are cracking good combines and can walk the walk and do the job. It’s great to film both of them 😊👍🚜
Really? The world disagrees. Deere is the largest agricultural equipment manufacturer and far, FAR outsells Claas.
I’ve just filmed another Claas 8900 which was harvesting over 100 tonnes per hour which is pretty impressive 😃👍
Where did it head of to next?
Hi Greg
It went up to the Scottish Borders area. Lucky them 😁
@@ANDYOLDRIDGEFARMINGVIDEOS I have drove that combine then!!😄
Nice one, when I was in the cab one of the drivers was also driving it for the first time and couldn’t get over how easy it was for him to learn with all the automation helping him.
So well done John Deere on designing such a user friendly combine 😃👏👍
Hi Andrew great video. I know that area well. RBM as it was did a demo in that same field in i think it was 2007 with the new combines at the time. Miss seeing these machines now in Scotland 🏴
Thanks for the info!
It's good that you haven't seen the Russian SK-5 Niva combine.💪 It's just a cannon. 👍 Hello from Russia 🖐
Hi Ivan
Good to see your enjoying my TH-cam videos in Russia 😁🤦♂️
Like to see how the chopper spreads if it makes a good job with that much STRAW
Thanks for liking 😊👍
Thanks Andrew, a beast of a machine in a beast of a video, well done. great video. I've now subscribed. keep up the good work.
Thanks 👍
Andrew, john deere X9 or lexion 8900?
@@ANDYOLDRIDGEFARMINGVIDEOS That makes sense. Thank you for responding though.
Les deux se valent pas beaucoup de différence a part la couleur lol
😊👍
Got to admit, looks impressive. Nearly as good as a Claas 😉
I see the blower getting ripped off the back of that trailer very quickly and easily.
Better then a claas lexion 8900 as this combine shows what 700 hp can do and no slowing down eather
@@jezcolborne6329 lol...yeah no...ive seen this combine barely outperfom a lexion 760 in wheat....and do worse in canola...
@@brendanwollmann3202 well I dont know about canola as we in the uk dont have that crop but canola may not be a good crop for this JD as it can only deal with crops that other combines find difficult to harvest like wet corn or flattened crops
@@brendanwollmann3202 and it's for demanding small grains
Jez Colborne ahhh...from Canada here...canola a a big one for us...but I personally demoed it in wheat as well and it barely outperformed the 760 ...and losses wise it wasn’t any better at all...for all the hype it’s been getting it didn’t impress us at all
What a way to get out the combine cab within one second of the video starting... well done JD employee🤦🏼♂️
83GreenGiant what’s wrong with the way he got out
😊🤷♂️
700hp 💪
Thanks for commenting 😊👍
Once again demoed with a small header when will they really put this machine to the test and make it do what other machines are
Clearly it says in england. I doubt they are running 45-50 foot heads over there
Chad Justice yeah we do but it’s not just the location. I’m a John Deere guy and my point is more that it’s frustrating they’re saying how good this new combine is but aren’t putting it the real tests. The ideal 10 is looking at using 60ft headers but the x9 never seems to have bigger than a 40ft.
@@chadjustice8560 we have 45 foot headers here
😊
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Basel 👍
Where in England
Andrew Oldridge cheers for telling me 👍🏼
Lincolnshire
John Deere chickened out to go up against a Fendt 9,with 50 foot headers they where to go but the last day the dealer that had one john deere x9 phoned the farmer and said john deere headquarters said they couldn't go with it, John Deere was scared of the Fendt walking all over it.
Anyone know where this silly childish nonsense comes from?? I hate to tell you, but Deere is the WORLD'S LARGEST AGRICULTURAL MANUFACTURER. Deere makes the largest variety of equipment on earth for farming. They dwarf Fendt. None of your silly childish fantasies will change that.
😊😞
I don't know it doesnt seem to live up to the secresy and hype. Other brands seem to put their money where their mouth is.
JD for price you buying The badge
👍
Measuring grain by the liter is so weird! That would be like us measuring it by the gallon.
It’s just the way they do it?
If you measured it by weight then each ton would be a different amount of grain because the spec weight changes
Why so small header? Should be 50 foot.
UK wheat yields up to 12 ton per hectare.
Why do you care? Is it some kind of contest? They want to test all of the headers with the combine so they can find the best settings for the screens, concaves, rotors, fans etc. under a variety of field conditions.
@@buckhorncortez Well John Deere claims this is the biggest combine in the world.
@@buckhorncortez dude chill out he only asked why a 40 foot header. No need to be bolshy and snarky. He was only asking a valid question so say sorry to the guy who asked that question NOW
@@ANDYOLDRIDGEFARMINGVIDEOS that john deere X9 1100 is amazing and I love this new combine a lot and the video was awesome even with a 40 foot header. It shows just how good john deere x9 combines realy are

Thanks for liking 😊👍
What is the width of this combine excluding the header.
A John Deere S790 with single front tires is 3,73 metres ( ± 12ft 3" ) wide, so the X9 has approx the same width but JD does not give exact figures yet🤔
Thanks for the info.

Hello, nice Video. The X9 is an impressive Combine. Only the straw chopper doesn't work on 12 meters. Is it a 7 ton yielding wheat?
Thanks Niels
It was a reasonable crop averaging nearly 10T/Ha, but the straw wasn’t as much as normal.
whats the music name and where do i find it?
Hi Stagmite 11
It’s all in the details below the video it’s by Roman Senyk.
You don’t drive on the other side of the Combine over there? 😏
🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣
Looks good but seems to shy away from any major competition
😞
how many acers will that combine do i wonder
@@ANDYOLDRIDGEFARMINGVIDEOS waw thats motoring isint it ive been out of farming for 6 years thats good acers i gess some combine was it the biggest header

That JD combine needs a new set of rear tires, .... trailer too short 🤔 .... 😂 🤣 😆

It's lorry he needs
That didn't look like it was the farmer's it look like a demonstration & was going bk 2 John deer I'm hopeing 2 get into in the nxt yr or 2 so just looking a different combine
