    It’s important to include women not just for the historical role they played in wartime, but also because there are many in industry these days, even in historically male-dominated industries. Thank you for the recognition of the women in technology, manufacturing, etc.

    It amazes me how you work through your thought process of what you want and it turns out fabulous, even if it's not exactly what you thought it would be. Another great project. Thanks for sharing 😊

    Oh heavy subject. Good to remember. The industrial revolution had many casualties, men women & children Thank goodness some standards are upheld at this time at least in your country & mine (mostly anyway). This art piece makes me think of the Upton Sinclair book The Jungle, it's a riveting read about the meat packing industry in Chicago and absolutely horrifying. I read it 40 years ago and still remember. Beautiful piece Ceri.

    Hi Ceri. Love this. As a child of the 60's and a teen of the 70's I love art work that makes a statement. Wonderful piece Ceri. I see industrial revolution, dust, dirt, grime and pollution. The dreadful work environment with no safety standards. It says a lot about the greed of the owners too. Well done Ceri. 🙂

    Hello Ceri, I am a 60 yr old woman. I have worked in a plywood factory in Oregon USA for 30 years, I have done many jobs, running machinery. People get hurt. I have seen some terrible things. Coworkers are unhappy and understaffed and under paid for what they do in a 12 hr shift. Thank you for acknowledging women as well. Love the art as well as the message.

    Perfect! Being a nurse and having worked in emergency rooms, I would have used more red but, I think you were right not to. When anyone speaks of factory work, the casualties and disabilities come first to my mind. Things have improved but there will always be tragedies in that kind of work. It's a great statement. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤🤔

    Well done. Dark but not too dark. Lots of warm colours which represent the fire and heat in heavy industry.
    To a certain extent, we did move away from this dark industry, mainly because the Collective West moved a lot of its productions to other countries of the world. To this day, we aren`t able to exist without heavy and dirty industries. It`s all a very hypocritical game the West is playing. In many views, we are going backwards, not forwards.
    That`s why this project is representing both - the past and the present.
    Thank you, Ceri.

    I am back. Great job on the journal page. I got the message, I think. I recall child and women labor and the abuses. The owners who make all the money and give little to the workers. Unfortunately, it is still happening. Not just in the East but some of states in the US are trying to lower the age that children can work. There are so many people applying to come into our country. They could fill the jobs. Many are afraid of letting people into our country. We are a country of immigrants. Check your family tree. I am only third generation.

    I like the story to your art piece today as well as how it came out, beautiful!. I also really appreciate the upcoming gelprinting with tissue paper etc, thank you Ceri, I was one asking about this some time ago. I ended up bying a little of the wet strenght tissue and the sheets are huge so one sheets give you 4 large pieces (lot larger than A4 that I used to work with). My health has not permitted me to try out my gel plates yet and I really long to start playing with them.

    Why do you breathe so heavy?

    • @CeriGriffiths
      @CeriGriffiths  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Kim I don’t think it’s that I breath heavily I think it’s because my microphone is ear buds and they’re sensitive, I increase the volume in my videos because so many said they found it hard to hear me. I’m also asthmatic which I think could also be the cause. I’m looking into a new camera for future videos which has a detachable microphone which I could clip to my lapel. That may help, I’m sorry if you find it uncomfortable to listen to.

    We haven't escaped darker days. The opposite, quite frankly. Our world is in its end days as we know it. You will start to see the fall of religion. Our weather will continue to deteriorate. Sickness will increase.
