All creatives (artists, chefs, writers, etc) hit the wall once in a while can't get inspired to save your life. You know the best way to cope with that? Exactly what you did: just show up & create--without any self-judgment. Your persistence is inspiring! And, although you may not be in love with your creations, all of US have our faves. You rock, girl. Well done. Thanks for the video.
Self-judgment is a killa! I agree wholeheartedly with the wall we all hit. I usually have to take a few days off and go out to enjoy nature before the craving to create returns!
Oh Susie you are not alone, I feel this way a lot, but I always tell myself someone will love the projects that I don't like...these are great projects that give people ideas and inspiration. It is not always about how they look at the end, if you inspire one person to create that is amazing. Plus people just want content to watch and they do appreciate the content you make! Give yourself a break and remember why you are doing this 🥰
Susie I love the cutting board. Girl we all get creative blocks. I was inspired by the cutting board on how to finish one of my projects so your video is a win for me❤
I liked the tractor tray. And I liked the clock frame with leaves but not the “extras” on it. You are an inspiration. Sit outside and enjoy nature and a cool drink. Good for the soul.
We are our own worst critics. I loved that you showed projects you were not in love with! I thought they were great! I have had a couple of pieces on my table that i want to love but haven't been able to get there yet. Give yourself some grace❤ As you said, you have a LOT going on. You have no idea how many you inspired with this video❤I know that I'm not the only 1 who loves the finished pieces. Wishing you love, peace, and happiness ❤ and as always, thanks for sharing❤
I have those days a lot! I usually end up throwing things out and wasting money! 😅 I really enjoyed today's projects! Decoupage is my jam, and the cutting board was my favorite too, and I loved learning how you made those wrinkles look awesome! And the moulds on the clock are just beautiful! Thanks for the video! I always enjoy your work!
I'm so glad you did this video, I think everyone has creative blocks, but I think they turned out beautiful!! Love the tractor. I have a farmall and it reminds me of that!!❤
Hi Susie, I"m glad that you didn't scrap this video! I like the projects and think the tractor is cute! I also like the decoupage paper in the last creation and painting the back of the paper is a new technique that I've not seen. Thank you for sharing!!
We are always our worst critics. You have a lot going on in your life right now and it is hard to force creativity when your mind is full of other things. I’m glad you posted this video. I really enjoyed it and I think there are some great ideas. I really liked the projects that you did today. I appreciate that you were honest about your frustrations because it shows that you’re being real and being yourself. And I think it helps all of us to accept that we are going to have days with frustrations at some point in time. Thank you for keeping it real and taking the time to create and post this for us. Hugs, Ruth Ontario Canada
Thank you so much for posting your video even though your projects weren't your favorites. I think they turned out pretty and you are definitely correct when you say that we can still get inspiration from them. I know that everyone struggles with creativity sometimes or our projects don't turn out how we were envisioning them but we also have to remember that we are our own worst critics. Thank you for sharing 😊
Susie, I have made so many things that I thought were just ugly, but other people love them. You just have to much going on. Everything looks great. Just slow down and take a little time to breathe. God bless😊
You did a great job❤ I understand completely what you are saying about not feeling it sometimes. I call it Crafter's Block! I get to that point sometimes as well. You do have to force it and keep going just like you did, but also give yourself a little time to rest, breathe, and maybe a change of scenery ❤ Don't be too hard on yourself! You do awesome work.
Boy, i know what you mean about not liking what you've created. In my case, I can always put it away and attack later. You are often trying to meet a deadline which is one of the negatives of having a youtube channel. Dont worry, I always learn something from your work.
Sometimes the creative juices turn to sludge 🤣🤣 I have also learned that our hardest critic is most often ourselves. Ask me how I know 🤦🏻♀️ I’m glad you didn’t scrap the video because it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who struggles. I think the last one is my favorite 😊
Susie, I do not have a TH-cam Channel but I’m trying to make projects for two booths and I get a block and can’t think of nothing to make. I know you are stressed, most likely, getting your store opened but I’m so happy you leveled with us!!!! I too have always learned from you and I adore your style. I think the leaves would look great inside when you finish it. ♥️
Glad to know that I’m not the only one who isn’t happy with the outcome of my projects. I guess I’m not much of a fan of the new gold transfers. Thanks for sharing though, always an idea to be found so don’t be discouraged!
AAAAWWW BLESS YOUR SWEEEET HEART!!!!!!❤❤❤❤ I KNOW, i "feel" your way at least 10xs a week!!!!! I have all of these visions for projects, and get SO excited to start working on everything, but the moment I do, its like, "Some days", i mentally just..."block EVERYTHING OUT" simply bc i hv WAY to much "OTHER" things going on in my life that are interfering and WILL interfere for DAYS!!!!! PLEASE DONT APOLOGIZE!!!! IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE!!!! I like to call mine.."Brain Fog" 🤯😨🤪🤭😛
Hi! New sub here! I noticed in another video that your Mom mentioned B' ham....are you guys in AL?? I'm in Bama....born and raised.... our main home is in Wetumpka. I have family spread throughout the South. My hubby and I own an A/V company that covers 5 Southern States...we have property in a few States but Bama is where we call home. I love to thrift and look forward to watching all your videos!
Susie, you're way to hard on yourself. I know what you mean about not always happy 'bout a project, but your projects turned out quite nice. Glad you did not "scrap" the video!
We all have those days! Love your transparency about your struggle.

oooo I like the Hazelwood! I haven't tried that color yet!
I think k it was the choice of your transfers and decoupage papers. The concepts were great.

Great idea and process but Printemps means Spring! 😊
