Just remembered a story i was told. It's an old story were a monk was living in a place full of skulls like those, and at Easter he got in and yelled "Christ is risen!" Then bones turned around and replied "Indeed he is risen"
It was at Mount Athos, in one of their Ossuaries for the monks. The guide told the legend to the documentary makers who were filming the Athos documentary that it on here.
34 “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Who wants saving by someone who says this tripe.
It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting, ffor death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart.." - Ecclesiates 7:2
When someone is born, it is unknown weither they will die young or old, weither they shall be rich or poor. All that is certain is that they shall die. All other goods or evils are uncertain. Go to the ossuary, and examine the bones therein, and see if you can tell whom was master, and whom was servant. In life, we are treated differently, due to wealth, status, and appearance. But in death we all become equal.
"Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away: as it hath pleased the Lord so is it done: blessed be the name of the Lord." -Job 1:21

Like all members of heretical groups, you can heal your separation from the Church by abandoning the heresies you hold and replacing them with the proper Christian understanding. I pray that you do so.
@P'tit Paysan The Orthodox Church has priests, bishops, saints, believes in the ever Virgin Blessed Mother, liturgy, believes in the real presence of Christ in communion, angels, etc; yet you as non-denomination Christian thinks the Roman Catholic Church has gone of the rails?!?!?

Beautiful! Love to my Orthodox brothers and sisters from a Catholic! Much love to you all and the whole Orthodox Church. Pray for the end of the Great schism so we can be one once again.
There is no schism. There is One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. Many have split away from the Church in pursuit of various heresies. Papism is simply one heresy among many. Like all members of heretical groups, you can heal your separation from the Church by abandoning the heresies you hold and replacing them with the proper Christian understanding. I pray that you do so.
Long live the Catholic Church
@P'tit Paysan The Orthodox Church has priests, bishops, saints, believes in the ever Virgin Blessed Mother, liturgy, believes in the real presence of Christ in communion, angels, etc; yet you as non-denomination Christian thinks the Roman Catholic Church has gone of the rails?!?!?
@P'tit Paysan Defending the one Church Christ founded is worth seething over.
@P'tit Paysan I sincerely appreciate your admiration of the Orthodox Church. I am Roman Catholic, and I too share your admiration; however, despite differences between Catholics and Orthodox, we have more in common with each other, than either of us would have with non-denominational Christianity. That was all I was pointing out.
The very first song is one of my favorites, when it crescendos it feels like I'm being held by the infinite rays of the sun , in a place so silent that i can't even hear my own thoughts.
Death? I have a scheduled meeting with him except he never told me when exactly only that we'll certanly meet.
Fuuuaaaark. Rest in peace, brother.
I welcome death in all honesty. When it comes I'll see my Grandpa again. I miss him a lot.
vague promises these false ideologies hold out to keep you toeing the line.. keeping the masses under their control. They play on your fear of death, the great unknown....and promise you reunion with your beloved and departed and everlasting life but ONLY if you do as they say to do... or if you don't do what THEY want, then you go to supposedly an everlasting torment... The proverbial carrot and the stick... the simple but VERY effective control mechanism... works on the most stubborn and recalcitrant of jackasses... so they used it on people too...
I am sorry.. but after death.. there is only oblivion... at least, that is what the evidence we have garnered shows... no souls, no afterlife, no gods or devils... just the void... same as before we were born... THIS is the only existence/life we are guaranteed... do not rush to throw off this mortal coil....
Peace my friend.

**********longform sardonic and nihilistic
Not nihilistic… I still see value in life, I do my best to improve the world around me etc…. a nihilist would not have that kind of drive. As to longform, there is a reason for such… I discuss/debate/criticize religion with believers. If I am not verbose, I tend to have my comments/words misconstrued… it is a way of protecting myself from this dishonest manipulation of my words.
********leave me to my beliefs and I shall leave you to yours
You are the one who put your beliefs out into the ether that is the internet; a public video on a public channel on a public platform. If you do not wish your beliefs commented on/criticized/corrected/dissected…. Don’t put it out where they can be so treated. Further to this, your beliefs are demonstrably harmful and dangerous… and whenever I encounter these kinds of false ideologies, I will work to minimize the harm they can cause. You believers do not stop at having your beliefs and practicing them in private…but your intention is to spread your beliefs to all, be they believers like yourselves, or they believe in other deities or other denominations of your religion or those who do not believe at all. So yeah… no thanks… I will continue to work against your religion.
*******please do also make an attempt at brevity in the future.
Thank you for the advice, but I’ll pass… (grin)

*********longform and hypocritical this time
See, that’s why we need longform… you called me hypocritical without any indication as to what you found hypocritical. I reread what I posted and I do not see anything that I am accusing you of that I then turn around and commit myself. Please clarify this accusation or I expect an apology.
*******you keep weird cult like atheism to yourself it's deliberately harmful as seen in soviet Russia
Ahhh.. I see… you have no idea what atheism is then. At least true atheism. The atheism of communist Russia, as well as that of Mao’s China et al is that this ‘legislated’ atheism was but a weapon in the arsenal of a POLITICAL ideology. The powers that be could not have the church/temple etc influencing the masses… because if they did, they would counter the power of the regime… so the easiest way to eliminate this threat was to outlaw religion… this is NOT what I am here talking about. I would never condone legislating disbelief/outlawing religion. That makes religion a martyr, firstly, which makes those who still believe double-down, making the effort harder. Secondly, belief is not something that can be legislated, as we have seen in this moment with the pandemic…
I want religion to die because people realize they have been lied to all their lives. There is NO good convincing evidence that any gods exist… NONE!! If the various gods don’t exist, then why are these religions still able to influence people and societies?
**********And once again do keep brevity in mind these essays are torturous to read.
I don’t do brevity, for reasons which I have explained and which you have demonstrated above. You called me a hypocrite, with NO information to support your claim (then again, you claim gods exist without any info/evidence to support the claim, so no surprise there… (evil grin)…

Magnifying, I magnify Thee, O Lord, for Thou didst take notice of my lowliness and hast not delivered me into the hands of mine enemies, but relieved my soul from wants. And now, O Master, let Thy hand shelter me and let Thy mercy descend upon me, for my soul is distracted and pained its departure from this my wretched and filthy body, lest the evil of the adversary overtake it and make it stumble into the darkness for the unknown and known sins amassed by me in this life. Be merciful unto me, O Master, and let not my soul see the dark countenances of evil demons, but let it be received by angels bright and shining. Glorify Thy holy name and by Thy might set me before Thy divine judgment seat. When I am being judged, suffer not that the hand of the prince of this world to take hold of me to throw me, a sinner, into depths of Hell alive, but stand by me and be unto me a savior and mediator, for these bodily torments gladden Thy servant. Have mercy, O Lord, on my soul defiled through passions of this life and receive it cleansed by penitence and confession, for blessed art Thou unto the ages of ages. Amen.
