You can get 8 NPCs to spawn just by doing these things that is if you are lucky to have the angler spawn on the same side that the dungeon spawned at and if you have 2 NPCs already. Go find the dungeon and go past that and wake up the angler, go back to the dungeon and wait until it is night, spawn skeletron and kill him, that will make the angler, dryad, merchant, painter, clothier, party girl(because 2 plus 6 equals 8 and the party girl will spawn after there are 8 NPCs are present, nurse(if you have more than 100 health), and mechanic(if you find her in the dungeon).

@@grobeman Yeah I realized literally 5 seconds after I booted up the game again that EACH NPC needs a room, chair, and table and such. I still had the guide's room after he died. Once I made those extra rooms they flooded in. Again i'm trash at Terraria XD

I smashed a shadow orb and the sun was rising. First day after smashing it I got a goblin army, I started stressing cause I didn’t know what to do. I wound up getting at least half of the NPCs without knowing the criteria. I basically just collected Life Crystals, killed every Pre-Hardmode boss, built several housing spaces, and boom! A bunch of people show up!
Arms Dealer is the best NPC. Dye Trader is the second best. The Wizard is the third best. The worst is the dryad. I will give u the last prism...IF you like

Right after I watched this video I found the miner guy and his name was bones McGee and sold not mining stuff mostly yo-yo stuff like a 35 damage yo-yo and a green counterweight and a yo yo glove that when equipped make it so when you hit an enemy with your yo yo it will make a extra version of it that goes crazy swing near the enemy and then disappears when not attacking an enemy

Haha yeah that can happen. Floating island houses, too. To avoid that just take out something necessary for it to count as an NPC house.

Right after I watched this video I found the miner guy and his name was bones McGee and sold not mining stuff mostly yo-yo stuff like a 35 damage yo-yo and a green counterweight and a yo yo glove that when equipped make it so when you hit an enemy with your yo yo it will make a extra version of it that goes crazy swing near the enemy and then disappears when not attacking an enemy
Nice! The skeleton merchant. Those yoyo accessories can be combined along with a string to craft the yoyo bag, the ultimate yoyo accessory. ;-)
Mobile actually have that technique for the housing thing but I don't know when it was added but it was added for awhile now
