Put an 8 inch tip on it. Have one on my LB7 and it’s sounds amazing and doesn’t look too big. Have had it for about 5 years now and it never gets old. Still gives you that first time reaction to hearing it. You will really be impressed with the truck when you tune it and do some others mods. I would take an LB7 over any other duramax all day long!

lb7 are great on fuel. my 02 averages 20.5 driving 60-65 with a couple stop and go's. hand calculated also, none of that dash telling me 25 after chipping it. i would also like to see a stealth 64 and downpipe on this truck. i want one on mine but you got deeper pockets than i do so ill see what you think about it.

Axle dump with a black tip! I did to mine with an 8” tip and it looks clean and makes it seem that much louder

Next DURAMAX build should be like a grandpa looking truck. Have a topper, stock wheels, etc. but have it be like a sleeper where jt looks like an everyday grandpa truck but runs 11s or 12s in the 1/4 mile
perhaps a cat eye chevy's tail light conversion? I know for whatever reason they aren't plug and play but I know it can be done and the Cateye taillights look way better. Plus it'd give your wallet a break from all those aftermarket tail lights

you defiantly need to do a Lift, like the CST 6-8" LIFT KIT, already powder coated black- that would look so sick with the long bed.
I dont know what plans you have, but i think a white and gloss black color scheme (like ron burgundually) would look killer on long bed Larry
On one of the truck channels they explained that the older diesels gets better fuel economy because they don’t have as much power meaning less fuel needed
Garrett Anderson they don’t have all the emission stuff on them that massively restricts the exhaust flow.

That does sound pretty similar to a 7.3 but you can hear the turbo a lot more on a 7.3
