Petition for a “Beat the Heat” series on how to do Disney parks, but partially a pool day and making the most of the evening there so you can avoid the heat/crowds, like a reverse rope drop?! 🥰
Love this idea. We always rope drop then head back to the hotel from about 1-5 then go back. It helps with the heat and the crowds and you stack with Genie. Helps keep the kids and adults from getting cranky
We've done evening videos in every WDW park. :) We had the best four hours in X park, as well as the "I didn't rope drop" series for afternoon start times.
Sitting at my desk at work watching Molly going to Disneyland and living though her. Mammoth Club is absolutely amazing. Thank you for the videos you do. We love yall so much!
Being able to watch this while on the treadmill is the only thing that’s getting me through the pain of exercising right now 😫😆 Thanks Molly! 😃🤗 Absolutely love when you’re in Disneyland! 🥰
I also watch MC on my walking pad. When I see the longer time stamp on the videos I am both excited about the content and pissed cause I am on that treadmill longer lol
Another video I’ll be taking notes during for my upcoming trip haha. Rope drop is always important strategizing, but disneyland is honestly so much more chill than wdw that there’s plenty of ways to have the best morning! I’m partial to rope dropping the classic Fantasylines without LLs, and on my last trip, I got through 4 within an hour or less with plenty of time to get coffee and a treat before my Runaway Railway LL.
Yup that's why I always do rope drop u got a good hour to hour n half before park gets busy n u can get sooo many good n big rides in during that time.
Cali local here and any time I take my daughter we always rope drop (even with the hour drive to the park). We can regularly get on 6-8 rides before lunch. Then, in the afternoon, if it's busy we can focus on meeting characters or park hop.
Never having gone to Disneyland, I love that you linger your camera on every facet of the rides--especially canal boats, Peter Pan & Snow White. It's like you know exactly what I need to see. Thanks Molly!
Keep the Disneyland and DCA videos coming!! I’m going with my family of 5 for the first time for my 40th birthday in august, one day in each park. I need all the rope drop strategy I can get!
This video couldn't come at a better time for me. I haven't been to Disneyland in 20+ years and not even for a full day. I'm going soon with my family and I truly have no idea how to this park works. How do I get around? What rides are must-dos? Where and what should I eat? Truly, all these videos are so helpful. Thank you.
Another awesome video! Request - any tips on doing HHN in Hollywood? Like how their different tickets work, when you can get into the park, and perhaps the best time to travel from Disneyland to Universal? That would be super helpful! :)
Pro tip if you’ll be in Disneyland multiple days (or like to gamble lol): make your first genie+ reservation for Indiana jones and if it doesn’t open on time during that first slot (highly likely) you’ll get a Select Experience Pass you can use at quite a few different rides and then get to immediately book another Genie+ reservation! This worked twice in a row for us when we were genuinely trying to get a LL for Indians Jones. But do so at your own risk :)
Oohhhh, This looks like the old downtown Disney which My family really loved!! It was just big enough but not enormous. Disney springs is just daunting, just like one of the parks.
I love to see all the classic Fantasyland rides. Thank you especially for Snow White! I love this ride. It has a special place in my heart because Disneyland was my first park and Snow White was the first ride I ever rode in a Disney park. So much nostalgia and happiness. Your channel is awesome!
CA local here! We always rope drop Peter Pan (nostalgia is definitely a huge reason but good strategy too!) and then hit the rest of fantasyland. When we were there during peak time in December we were able to do every ride in fantasyland the first ~45-60 minutes of the park opening! Almost all walk ons. Highly recommend rope dropping Fantasyland :)
This could not have been more perfect timing! We (as life long WDWers) are at Disneyland for the first time today! We took your advice on Genie+ and the breakfast chimichanga. 10/10 best day ever! TYSM!
I completely agree with you, Molly, about WDW refurbishment of rides. Keep the original character and story line of the attraction, but just advance the technology. that way, you still experience the ride as you remember, but the ride is renewed and plussed.
Molly, you are the best. I love all of your videos, but when you are in DLR (my home park) AND make Parks and Rec references (best show ever), it’s just extra awesome ❤

Love this Molly! I was just at Disneyland this past weekend and followed this same strategy! Between both DCA and DL, I rode 41 rides in one day!! Only missed 5 rides!
What a magical morning! We are headed to Disneyland tomorrow for a day of fun. We start our day at Carnation Cafe for breakfast and then hit the park walking! Chimichanga next weekend!
Going to DL next week and will be doing this rope drop strategy on our first day!! I love the fantasyland rides too and am so excited to do these that are different in DL! Hoping to get that breakfast chimi too!! Thank you Molly always for your wonderful tips!! 🥰🥰🥰
I have very fond memories of DLand fantasyland from when I was a wee little with my grandma and mum. Specifically being the “helper” on the storybook canal boats. I got to sit right up front with the cast member ❤ I think my mum still has home video of it somewhere……
Interesting strategy. I go pretty frequently and without Genie +, so my plan is a bit different. Indy and Rise have both become notorious for ride closures, so I usually go Adventureland first and hang on the West side of the park in the morning. Hope to see you next time you're here!
Thanks for doing more Disneyland videos. As WDW and Dollywood passholders, our next trip is heading out to Cali. for Disneyland and watching your videos helps plan
Another fun and helpful video, Molly! I used to do fantasyland in the morning until I experienced at night time! Post fireworks Peter Pan is the bestttt and the only way to ride the tea cups is at night right before midnight and walk out to a gorgeous Castle and Main Street 🪄
I really needed this video! Thanks to Molly, I have WDW down to a science, but the westcoast Parks are a different story. I'm going to Disneyland and DCA for the first time in September. It's like you read my mind
Hi When you modify a lightning lane like you did with space mountain- when will be the next time you’re able to book another lighting lane in a different attraction?
It is! Just did that last week! The best part is since there is not that many people the Disney characters are out and start riding the rides as well. It was Disney magic.
❤❤ starting in Fantsyland is a good idea. If i dont do big thunder pirated haunted indiana in morning then i do Fantsyland just like you did. Excellent advise. ❤❤u Molls
These videos are very helpful. I’m going to both parks in September for my birthday and will have two days in each park ? Can we see everything in two days per ? Used to watch Molly on All Ears and just found her again,as if she’s been hiding, lol. Just subscribed too. Thanks again.
Excellent video, thanks for the information. Fantasyland is my favorite out of all the lands in Disneyland and the majority of those rides are on my list. You are right about Storybook Land being a unique attraction and it sure is. I love how it shares the same area with Casey Jr. One thing I wanted to share about my personal experience on that ride is I rode it at night once and the cast member stopped it in the middle for the fireworks show. I got to watch it while onboard the ride.
Thank you Molly and the Mamfam for the amazing Disneyland tips! I’m from the Midwest and we went to Disneyland last week for the first time and I got everything done and more! And I did a solo day and had an amazing time!
I’m thinking a ‘do every ride in both California parks’ might be done in 8-12 hours vs the Orlando parks in 24 hr…. Doable? Too easy? Get the gang together maybe and have three different plans and see what is doable in 4 hours… Always love watching Molly have a great morning in any park! 💚
I love you Molls n I Crack up when u say ur doing rope drop n it's 740 😂 they open front gate at 730ish n There IS ALWAYS a rope ur just never up front in time ur way in back. I'm literally one of first at the ROPE that's TRUE rope drop not just b inside the park. 😂 I'm just sayin. I'm blocked for summer so I went n said hi to Bruce for you yesterday. He says come visit him😊
Going to Disneyland for the 1st time next week, we’re East Coasters and have been to WDW many times….are there places to get breakfast in the park if we rope drop?
My family and I have been to Disney World quite often (grand parents in south FL), but we are taking our first trip to Disneyland in August. Any suggestions on what to ride that we could never do at Disney World? I understand incredicoaster, but for duplicate rides, are there rides so similar that we could spend time elsewhere? If Mickey and Minnie Runaway is highly similar, I would love to skip that and find something unique to the park.
Skip Galaxy's Edge rides, Toy Story Mania, Soarin', Little Mermaid, Star Tours, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, Mad Tea Party. Those are all basically the same (or better) in WDW. MMRR is basically the same but the queue is way better in Disneyland (the standby queue) so it's worth a walk through if the line is short and you have time. Pirates, Small World, and Big Thunder are all notably BETTER in Disneyland. Unique Disneyland rides -- Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, Avengers Campus rides, Incredicoaster, Monsters Inc., most of the smaller Fantasyland rides. :)
I am hoping to enact this strategy when I go in August but worried since it's early entry day for Disneyland and that won't include me. I am guessing early entry was at DCA on this day? Thus Peter Pan was an immediate option with a short wait?
Peter Pan and Alice isn’t a bad rope drop move, but Snow White and toad can absolutely be had at some point in the day for around 10 mins each. I would rather ride something like space or btmrr or Matterhorn 2 times using LL than do storybook land, but it’s preference. Also, you always talk about “stacking” lightning lanes. Do you mean pushing them back to be all around the same time and then only booking new ones every 2 hours? Because if so, you will miss out on a ton of rides you could have gotten genie for. The best way is to book the soonest time, and then modify/hunt for the absolute soonest time to the current time. You can usually get within about 0-30 minutes away depending on the ride. Then once you ride it, you can book another LL right away instead of waiting 2 hours. This is essential if you are park hopping and want to use all the lightning lanes you paid for. So not bad, but the general consensus for non fantasy land rope drop is something like Space, Matterhorn, Indy/btmrr, haunted then check on rise time. Or you can split up to toontown after Matterhorn to hit those 3 attractions real quickly.
This was shot a few weeks ago, but in every season of the year, I find a light jacket is nice for the morning or evening because it gets a little chilly (for a Floridian).

Am I going to Disneyland anytime soon? No. Will I still watch this video and take notes? Of course
Love this comment😂
lol! I’m going to Disneyland next week so I feel ultra blessed 😇
I'm blocked til Aug 12th n got my reservation for that day. Why aren't you going?
Me too! @Alexnicole6806 because when that day comes, we will be ready!
I’m probably never going to get to go but it’s fun to live vicariously through Molly 🥲

I save the mammoth club exercises for when I’m exercising too. It makes the time on the treadmill or elliptical much more fun.
“BBBRP Captain’s Log” episodes are some of the best. ❤
Nothing like a dose of Molly in the morning 🌄 🌅
I just got back from Disneyland and your videos helped us do 45 rides/shows in two days. Tired feet, but amazing vacation.
Wow! 45? That’s impressive!
I fiddle faddled to great success.
It’s also good to do Fantasy land at Disneyland in the morning before it gets hot because there isn’t a lot of shade.
This series never fails to get me pumped and motivated at 6am! ✊

When you modify a lightning lane like you did with space mountain- when will be the next time you’re able to book another lighting lane in a different attraction?
I’ll be rope-dropping this Sunday!! Definitely taking notes!
I love these. Will yo be redoing them with the new Multi Pass system
The system is the exact same in Disneyland, just with another name. Additionally, we never used LL in these videos so the information is the same. :)
This is amazing! Thank you for this video. We are going to DL in October and I like this strategy.

Can you get in earlier if you ride the monorail in?
Sorry, second question. If you book a lightning lane and modify the 2 hour window is from the original booking time?
Yes...2 hour clock starts @ original booking. Modifying doesn't change that 2 hour clock.
Thank you!
Peter Pan and Alice isn’t a bad rope drop move, but Snow White and toad can absolutely be had at some point in the day for around 10 mins each. I would rather ride something like space or btmrr or Matterhorn 2 times using LL than do storybook land, but it’s preference.

Molly, I noticed you were wearing a jacket, was it cold there in the summer? Asking as a southerner (Louisiana)
This was shot a few weeks ago, but in every season of the year, I find a light jacket is nice for the morning or evening because it gets a little chilly (for a Floridian).
Hello Molly ❤
Not getting the Doc car on Snow White without Alan!!!
The sick irony.
should be named WDW guest does EE for Disneyland. Could have done even more in Fantasyland during EE.
A couple things i think this is strictly for people with Genie+ not those trying to ride without getting Genie+ which is a lot more common in Disneyland versus world. You can technically get most of the rides in without genie if you go bell to bell or have a multi day ticket. Lastly, Storybook land is the most boring experience ever. Skip it unless you have kids.
