Not feeling well today so I'm watching as many videos of yours. They are so relaxing informative and truly beautiful. Thank you for taking so much of your time to turn on the camera. I often wonder where I'd be without you and your talent. Thank you, also, for Janets recipe for the gesso. I love the colors and look forward to creating one. Loved your choice of the silver. Reminds me of the ocean.
I am so impressed with how this turned out! You've inspired me to alter a cover myself! Thank you so much for taking time to make and post this video. I also have to sheepishly admit that my favorite bits are the sounds of all the seabirds in the background. I just love the sound of them!
It is incredibly relaxing watching you create the beautiful journal cover. I ALWAYS learn something when I watch your videos. Thank you so much for sharing! Blessings, Mary
Excellent tutorial❣️ This a beautiful color combination, very regal. I can’t wait to watch part 2. I’m thinking I can convert a cereal box into an art journal using this technique. Thank you for sharing 🤗
Cindy Thoms Me neither....I thought I was only person under 75 on the planet or dark side of moon who wasn't on FB. I will start playing along too! Thanks for the inspuration!
Love the colours, I always think these are a great combination, ha ha not dark enough for Halloween!😂👻🎃🦇 Love it... Now I know why my napkins are so bumpy and rough, need to get my emery board out!! Thanks for all the tips xx ❤️😁🌼
Love your use of the napkin waste, very pretty so far 😊. I try to use the waste from my napkins if I can . I like to stamp mine with archival or stazon ink and use it for collage also. Thank for sharing this ❤️
Lovely cover! It would be great to use as a unicorn or fairy journal also! I have one question for you why is the faux leather could only be done on a paper cover? I'm confused ❣️💙💚💜
Lala Gamma thank you, did I say that? I thought I said I prefer doing it on an envelope journal which I’m doing soon. If I did say that don’t take any notice because it works just as well with book covers. Lol X
@@artymaze I could of misunderstood. I just wanted to make sure because I planned to try doing a leather one on a heart cover for someone. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to mess anything up. Thank you so much for all your tutorials and mostly for responding to my question 💜💚💙💗
Love love love the colors!!! Question: I tried my hand at making my own gesso ( never used gesso in my life and never even knew what is WAS until few months back) What consistency is the cheap gesso that you use? I tried looking on internet only to learn it varies. I am looking to do the same kind of mixed media and stuff like you do so was thought I'd ask. It's hard to tell on canera. THANKS!
Patricia Rider Thank you, the one I use is just like the consistency of acrylic paint, my sister uses this recipe th-cam.com/video/BzhqFxIBR58/w-d-xo.html She loves it x
ARTYmaze I made mine with foot powder talcum. But wasn't. sure how thick it should be. Haven't tried it yet... I will have to get some plaster of paris and try this one. TYFS!
Love it so far, still watching...and now I need to pull some more napkins apart, because I used all the waste part to clean up my messes! LOL and fyi if you go to dictionary. Com and look up the word they have an audio button you can click to hear how a word is pronounced. Great feature. Cerulean...suh roo lee uh n That's the geeky me talking...just ignore if you want. ❤😉
Very nice indeed, it does look like a Spell Book cover or Mermaid cover for your mermaid printables. TFS Oh by the way I think you made a typing error. Shouldn't it be "gutted" instead of "cutted". Can't help it, sorry as I'm an English language teacher.LOL Hugs Joy XXOXX

This is such a good way to reuse old books and make them new again!! Love it!
I made a ton of these years ago then forgot how much I enjoyed the process! Thanks for reminding me!!! Hugs Kate 😘

I love how your cover turned out. I first thought it had that mermaid or fairy look to it myself. Purple and blue are my favorite colors.
