The bit about women being sharper than men in seeing colors is best proven when looking at a catalogue for lipstick: women can identify the different shades, while men only sees red 😅
It is a poor generalization. There are however men who are tetrachromats and can see many more colors. Women are more likely to be tetrachromats, and men are more likely to be colorblind. Generally though men can see all the shades of makeup, they just don't care to name them all and just group them.
Can't argue with facts it has nothing to do with any type of feminist or otherwise movement that has no place in science it's a shame you even brought it up I hear that more and more from people lately and it is sad

As a former head of a Paint dept and an artist: While many more women than men are sensitive to and discern lots of color shades, some men, such as myself and other artists, male or female, are very attuned to color variation and perception. Sure, as a Paint dept head I'd get lots of guys who would just pick "Blue," where women would ponder, compare, get sample size bottles... of many shades and colors. They also observed and appreciated I saw what they saw, and could help them. I also liked paint matching and adjusting.
My fiancé is white/blue colorblind and when we met, he told me that green is his favorite color because he can see it the best. And when we first moved in together, he had 2 shirts from the same brand with similar graphics and he pulled them out and proudly went "this one's blue and this one's purple! I only know this because people have told me!" 😂
There's actually another reason why men can't see color as accurate as women it also has to do with testosterone building muscle like some bodybuilders have a harder time seeing colors than someone who's average
And what I mean is you can work out and become a bodybuilder but the excess muscle or strain on your nervous system can actually make it harder for the information of colors to register
