@@rust1760 thanks man ! It have read good stuff on this album . The only problem is that in Europe it s very difficult to find Kotzen album... it s crazy , no salting earth, 50 f 50 and cannibals avaible....
Will definitely be picking this one up. I’m one of those rare folks that actually loved his work on Native Tongue which I bought on release day way back when. Love his varied styles and his voice is absolutely killer. Would love to hear him collaborate with the guys in Soundgarden.
absolutely amazing album ... great guitarist, great singer ... he should be way more known. Check out his discography. Thanks for the review, Brendon !
He sounds more like Chris Cornell than any other artist I've ever heard. I honestly like Richie's voice more than Chris'. He's a first class vocalist and songwriter. Check out the song The Dying from Winery Dogs debut if you want to hear an amazing combination of chops, vocals, songwriting, and interplay between a trio of virtuosos.
@@rust1760 I wish he and Glen would do an album together. I think they'd be good together. They might go a little too funky though but, I'd still be open to hearing the combination of their skills.
Great job Brendon, I just finished my first listen to the album (CD) and opened your page hoping there would be a review, and lo and behold, there it was! If Steely Dan ever recorded another album, Ritchie would be a wonderful addition. This album is something special!
Just saw him LIVE in Roseville, CA and he was amazing as always. The new album is awesome. Just wish there were a couple more tracks on there. Every song hits!
I love the Winery Dogs work but I’d put any solo album from What Is (with exception of Bi Polar Blues) up to Nomad against anything he has done with a band. Different strokes for different folks I suppose
Fever Dream? Oh wow. Not a fan of that one. I love every album from What Is (except Bi Polar Blues) to the present. Not a big fan of the first few albums
This album is the best thing he's done in awhile and I have enjoyed everything he's done for awhile ;^)
Killer album. Yet another great 2024 hard rock release by a legacy artist.
I would not label him as a “legacy artist” though
@@stargazerh112 I do, in that he’s been releasing music for 30+ years and is not some new kid on the block.

Great review. One of my fav albums of the year, and it’s definitely a top 5 Kotzen solo album.
Hello Rust. That s my first album of him and il love it so much. What are your other 3 or more best album of Richie ?
@@titi64230 Hi! I would recommend trying the “Salting Earth” album next. Hope you enjoy it.

@@titi64230 “Cannibals” and “50” were the next ones I was going to say. Hope you can find more material. He’s a beyond fantastic guitarist.
@@titi64230 Ah, that’s too bad. “Cannibals” is definitely up there, as well.
Great review, and a very very solid album .I listen a few times and grab my physical copy so happy
THX for the review, Brendon. This one is definitely on my short list to pick up asap.

Agree. I often hear shades of Glenn Hughes’ vocal sounds in his voice, as well.
I was thinking the same. He sounds awesome

I would love to read one review without the Chris Cornell nonsense
I'm new to richie but I'm really enjoying his stuff. What is, winery dogs, this one sounds great too. This year has been awesome with new releases
I think this album is amazing - thanks for the review. I listened to it based on your video.

😎👍
I seen he has alot of solo albums on amazon. Im going have to order them sometime.
He has a ridiculous amount!
Nihilist is such a cool song.
I been listening to the album on spotify sounds awesome. I'm thinking his voice sounds like Chris cornell on this album.
I wish they would put sleeve in them Cardboard digbacks .
What did you think of the one song with the f word said alot on the song .
That did not stand out to me but then I’m not really a lyrics person. I’m more about the feel of the song.
These Doors is definitely more Richie’s style than Billy Sheehan
The only song I feel the instinct to skip is Cheap Shots
He is a master at all instruments except drums. He is more than competent on drums but not a master.
Fever Dream? Oh wow. Not a fan of that one. I love every album from What Is (except Bi Polar Blues) to the present. Not a big fan of the first few albums
Fever Dream sounds just like Mr. Big and I liked his time in Mr. Big so I think it’s really good.
@@BrendonSnyder cool. everyone has their preferences., i like the two mr big albums
