I’ve been where he is. I was in a medium security federal prison for 2.5 years for a fb post calling for people to defend the country. They put me in solitary for a year and put someone in my cell to attack me. I had to use jiujitsu to defend myself. I had work out and do yoga and meditation for hours every day to protect my mind and body and soul from the screaming inmates and violent and abusive guards. I had the support of activists but not my family. And they still try to entrap and extort me now that I’m out and on probation. This is America.
I have my own unique political views that disagree with Akira occasionally and I never really cared much about bitcoin but this album is probably the most meaningful to me out of all Akiras work because I’ve begged for my freedom while a friend records over the phone from federal prison while unjustly deprived of my freedom.
When I was in federal prison as a political prisoner, I saw many innocent people fighting against their charges. I’d say at any given time about 20% of federal prisoners are completely innocent and about 80% are not guilty of what they’ve been charged with.
Robert Barnes suggested that DJT should enact a pardon board to highlight people treated badly by the justice system. How many lives could that change? Merry Christmas MAZ 💙
