How did this not get a turn. Gorgeous voice, beautiful tone, sung totally in tune. A voice that is certainly unique. Not sure what they are listening for?

Moi je trouve ça normal... Ils ont déjà accepté des personnes assez différentes des formats , ici le problème c'est qu'elle montre rien des aigus de sa voix de poitrine, c'est vraiment trop grave tout le temps...
je suis dacord avec toi defois qque exceptions mais evidament c plus facile de prendre qquin qui a peut dexperience que linverse … malheureusement car normalement tout le monde a le droit a une chance ben apparament non lol c très dur

Depuis que j'ai vu cette prestation, j'ai compris que le jury ne se basait pas sur la voix, mais sur le potentiel d'un artiste pour la suite, ils se disaient que c'était une petite vieille qui chantait du traditionnel, du coup ils n'ont pas buzzé... C'est dommage, ça fausse un peu le vrai but de The Voice qui est de juger la voix et non pas rester sur des préjugés de l'âge ou du physique.
Oui mais sa voix n'est pas tellement terrible, je n'ai même pas vu son physique ni imaginé son âge.
Il faut dire que la chanson en elle-même ne lui a pas donné des espaces pour s'exprimer.

Why am I watching/listening/enjoying this for the 100th time? This is absolutely perfect - her voice, overall performance, confidence, (mysteriousness - personal thought..I fell in love with this woman haha).. She picked a great song for her vocal abilities and absolutely nailed it! I don't get it how did no one turn...
It is now 2022. I woke up remembering this audition. I am for sure now past 100. I noticed I have commented twice already. My third comment would mimic yours. I shall stick with a quick reply to you. Agree with every word.

Let me awnser as a french. They did the same on others mature voices, 'cause they say it's truly complicated to work with someone who already have a so personnal style and such a big vocal signature. Nothing political in their choice, stop always insult french of being racist or antisemit when they don't choose a muslim or a jewish : it's getting boring. And Zazie is not qualified to work with such a big voice.

+Maeva Chusseau, yes I can see how the judges may not know how to work with such a unique, stylised voice. It's the same when opera singers appear on the show. It's not necesarily that they're not good, but the judges won't know how to coach them.
Having said that.....RIGHT NOW we are witnessing some of the worst antisemitism in France and other parts of Europe that we have seen in the past 20 years. Jewish graves being desecrated and Nazi symbols drawn on the tombstones, Jewish people evicted from their apartments FOR NO REASON, Jewish-run bakeries and grocery stores set on fire.....it is getting very bad again. This is why there has been a significant uptick in aliyah (jewish immigration back to the homeland Israel) in recent years.
Franchement le jury a été nul. Elle a une super voix! Et elle s'est démarqué de beaucoup de candidats avec son timbre et ses ornementations vocales très orientales. Elle nous a bien fait voyager! J'espère qu'elle ne s'est pas démoralisée. Une voix en or. Elle méritait toute l'attention et la reconnaissance du jury, hélas conformiste. Une des meileures prestations de tout The Voice.

Justine M À un tel point que je doute que quelqu'un comme Dalida (celle des années 50 (ou pas ?) ) aurait été prise (avec par exemple, l'une de ces chansons italiennes dont elle a le secret de l'interprétation)
Ils ont certainement des regrets de ne pas s’être retournés, mais c’est surtout une question de savoir comment coacher et améliorer une voie. Ils ne se retournent pas simplement à chaque fois que quelqu’un chante bien et comparés à d’autres pays que je regarde (Russie, Italie, Allemagne), ils sélectionnent plutôt bien et justement évitent certaines voies trop internationales.

Je pense qu’elle s’est juste mal exprimée. En précisant qu’elle est arabe, elle a voulu montré que même en étant arabe elle soutient cette chanteuse qui a d’ailleurs très bien chanté en faisant référence aux conflits arabes/hébreux et islam/juif. Je pense qu’elle sait très bien qu’elle chante hébreux. En réalité, ça ne sert a rien de préciser cela puisque ces conflits sont politiques et ne doivent pas empêcher les peuples de se tolérer entre eux...
