Mayor Bissen, Herman Andaya, and police chief John Pelletier should be on the top of the list of government officials who worsened the outcomes of the fire which led to widespread loss of property and, unfortunately, many lives lost.

Investigating themselves. Where is the report from the 2018 fire?

Look at the report cover. This report is sponsored by "Underwriters Laboratories", that's the UL with the circle. HECO routinely uses UL and FSRI for certifying their equipment or for other safety services. Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI) is also on the report cover, bottom left red circle with a torch. FSRI operates under the umbrella of UL's nonprofit organizational structure. The sponsorship of this critical investigative report by organizations that have business relationships with HECO could lead to concerns about the objectivity and credibility of the findings. This is HEWA!

I have not yet read the full report, but the 2018 Draft Report that was hidden under lock and key in Andayas desk for 5 years definitely should be included in this investigation, as well as an interview with Joe Pluta (the gentle man trying to build a fire station). The world needs to know that Herman Andaya and Maui were well informed by the public back in 2018 that they wanted and demanded a siren alert to be sounded if there was a fire. Of course, any of us with common sense know that any type of loud blaring siren would have helped save lives on August 8th 2023. ........ Especially for the 69 people who died in one concentrated area in central Lahaina. The police and fire department showed a severe lack of ability to pre-assess a fire area, they failed to check the way the wind was blowing and the possibility of flare up and if the fire did flare up which neighborhoods would be most vulnerable which was kahua camp and kahua Street, of which the fire department knew for years that Kahua Camp area and Kahua Street had access and egress issues, according to former Battalion Chief, Travis Tancayo (Interviewed). I know that the firemen were extremely stressed out, but if there are only been one fireman that would have looked around and assess the possibilities of a fire flare up and thought about the possibility that it could spread to kahua camp area, then maybe 69 people wouldn't have died in one concentrated neighborhood. It is a crying shame that the surrounding neighborhoods were not prewarned early on in the day that they may have to evacuate. Maybe one of your recommendations should be make it a rule to evaluate your surroundings and send somebody out through the neighborhoods to warn people of a possible evacuation. Of course, if the National Guard had already been called in, as they should have, the police and fire department would have had enough help. As I have said over and over and over again, the minute all the poles and lines started to fall on highway 30 and the main evacuation route was blocked, and there were four fires burning on the island,

(continued). Mayor Bissen should have immediately called a state of emergency and contacted the state for National Guard help. Mayor from Honolulu called his state of emergency at 8:06 A.M. in the morning on August 8th 2023. I give thanks to all the firefighters for all you have done to save lives on August 8,2023. No matter what, you all have my deepest respect.

How are they going to delete all the "live" videos during the tragedy they say "cell service was down" and what the video shows contradicts what is called "timeline of events" minute per minute.

32:10 AG Lopez said that she is not commenting on Mayor Bissen's actions. She stated her mission is so it would never happen again. It should also be to hold people accountable. She should be removed.
50:15 AG Lopez is smug when reporter Darryl Huff is saying she is closing off questioning which is why people were upset at her first press conference. Looks like a cover up. Fire her.
