I loved hearing your story and it’s a great reminder to persevere when you face adversity. At the end of the day you never quit and you keep going which speaks volumes to your work ethic and is a good story for 2023. People will show you who they are and will tell you one thing but show you another, and you can’t let it get you down or dissuade you. The shirt looks wonderful and I think you did an amazing job!!! Also, I wanted to share some videos I watch will lay a whole piece of applique fabric down instead of letter by letter when it is the same fabric throughout the whole word. I appreciate your tenacity and honesty. I have struggled with applique tonight and into the morning. I managed to do all 3 stitches but it wouldn't stop to let me place down the fabric. Maybe I was supposed to stop it myself. I need help. I'm so happy you figured it out! Congratulations!
Yes you have to set your machine to stop and frame out to lay down the fabric. If you don’t set it to stop it will keep going.

I've always been on my own.. handled EVERYTHING on my own... my parents didn't have it like that to help.. they would do what they can.. but I'm a hustler.. so I am always grindin.. but if I never ask for help.. and if I do ask you.. like understand I REALLY need it... so I understand what you saying.. and when stuff like this happens with so called friends it just reminds me of why I do not ask for help.. my circle is so small lol.. Katrina there is a machine called "Scan N Cut" made by brother its about $1,000 dollars and software called "Simply Applique" and its about $200.00 dollars; it cuts the applique shapes out exact size needle and then you do not have to do any trimming. I can relate to you. I do not have anyone to turn to either its just me and my 3 kids. We single women and moms have to just help each other. Sometimes walking away and taking a break helps me.
Yeah I was told to walk away and take a break too by my girl but I was determined not to let it get me. Thanks. I will look into that.
I really liked how your shirt turned out. I completely understand what you mean by asking for help and that person puts you down, not cool. I help people all the time and do not put them down especially when it comes to hardware and software applications. I remember where I came from and I have made a ton of mistakes. This person that you are referring to has made a ton of mistakes and it appears they forgot where they came from. I'm glad you got better help and figured it out.

It was an Applique don’t inside the chroma Liz software.

Yes I know the feeling if everything you're going through and especially with Chroma digitizing. I try to get on the software everyday what is 5 minutes or an hour. But when things don't click the way you want them to click while clicking that trackpad or that button on that mouse it can get frustrating lol

Okay. I watch your video and I watch another person video and you guys talked about the same thing, all in the same day. My mine figure out who treated you wrong and I am positive I am right. It was A Dubb Production. Putting two and two together and the two videos where so similar and in the same day, It was Allan from A Dubb Production. You never know who your friends are until you need their help. Keep trying Katrina you don't need anyone, you will figure it out on your own.
I didn't even watch his video but the vibe I got from the one they did together I instantly knew that's who it was. I was picking up on something else too in that one. He really seemed a little condescending and not so nice.
In that particular video that is our banter and our friendship. It was all live for him to come and do that for me. That video had nothing to do with anything else.

You’re very welcome. I know I have seen many videos on the glowforge but sometimes videos leave steps out and you’re still stuck. Hopefully you will find the answers you need.
Hi Katrina I use a different software but I think you can print your entire design out on a blank paper. If you can print that, then you can put the fabric against the printed out design (on the paper) then cut the fabric to almost the perfect size that it needs to be, BEFORE you place the fabric in the hoop. It helps lessen what you have to cut in the hoop. Also Cricut can do this for you so you don’t have to cut a thing. Take care

@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 I have Chroma but I mostly use Embrilliance, digitizing is a challenge for me so I use a digitizer to do the digitizing.
Hello thank you for the tutorial I needed it so much I have a se600 embroidery / sewing machine I've had the machine for a few months so I took it out and I tried to teach myself from using one of the designs that they give you I cut a piece of fabric fly and came out nice when I try to do it on the old regular t-shirt just to practice I wind up suing the image together I saw the T-shirt together what am I doing wrong I have tail away paper too

YIKES, I suggest using heat n bond and cutting fabric out on cricut or similar. Easier and comes out cleaner.

Thank you so much for this.. I needed this pep talk. I hav a 10 needle Ricoma machine and just like you, I thought I had got a lemon. Because, every time I would have a malfunction with the needles, the thread would keep breaking, and the machine would say no needle, etc. I was so frustrated. But, I feel I know my machine better today. I've had my machine 6 months now. I have a question for you what is the best material to embroider on? I have a polyester shirt and it embroider good. But, it looks wrinkled, I hope my explaining it right. And I used 3 pieces of tear away thinking it was due to not enough backing. Pease let me know what I'm doing wrong.

BTW I bought a small embroidery machine a year ago and haven't opened it because I know nothing about embroidery. Did you have experience with before this machine you have now?
I had no experience with embroidery as most people don’t. You have to open it up and just start practicing
