I heard this song the other day while listening to an 80's station. I hadn't heard it in years and it took me right back to the time when this song came out. I was 20 years old and going through some challenges and inner struggles which, I'm sad to say, still exist to some degree. It's amazing how a song can bring those emotions and feelings from long ago back to the surface once again.
Oh yeah, I was in my 20s also, takes me back to some good and bad times for sure. What a musical 🎤 icon, he was a young and very talented 24 years old here. ❤

I have no idea why I remember this performance and year with such clarity. It's spooky! This was the American Music Awards show live "in America" and it was WAY past Culture Clubs bedtime "in London" but they stayed up to perform for America via statellite that night! At this time Culture Club was huge! I turned 15 that year and went to work for The Cinema 4 Theater in Denver, Colorado (Which no longer exists). The movies that were playing was Nightmare on Elm Street, Rambo, The Breakfast Club, The Goonies, and The Color Purple just to name a few. It was such a good time to be a teen! On the weekends after I got off work I'd "go to the mall" which was all the rage for us teens at that time. They had two Arcades! and all we laughed, ate, Shopped, got in relationship, Broke up and all at the mall! LMBO! Sooo many good memories this song sparks! Those were fantastic days of my life...
I have been a fan now 30 plus years , since I was 14. My first album by them blew me away, and all these years later, this man is still talented n a class act, in every way. Such a gorgeous man.
