I have an avoidant counterpart and it's an issue but I'm learning by educating myself with avoidant counselors, how to communicate with him so he doesn't keep sabotaging the relationship because he doesn't feel worthy. It's a trauma that can be healed and I learned for myself to to set boundaries to get my own needs met - it's definitely a journey that takes a lot of deep love for another human being and for yourself❤

I do love my person unconditionally, and they do have avoidant attachment traits who seems closed off from emotions and I have libran with anxious attachment traits who needs communication and expression of feelings. It took a while to figure it out, after the third ghosting. I intuitively understand, without my person telling me, that there must have been family issues in addition to cultural issues which pishposhes the validity of emotional expression. This softened my heart even more for her. My love is steadfast, unchanging. It doesn’t mean that I tolerate low vibe behavior. As someone who’s been anxious attachment all my life. I ended up ghosting and trying to avoid an exboyfriend I was dating at the time. It made me understand the dynamic of an avoidant and even my divine masculine . I never thought I could do it to someone I cared for but it happened some way. Doesn’t mean my intention was to push them away I wasn’t able to have difficult conversations or be vulnerable. Sometimes someone pushing you to do that can be hard to verbalize and articulate yourself. I can’t imagine pushing someone away and it’s automatically like second nature. I remember when I started ghosting my exboyfriend I actually felt relieved but I felt a little bad because it wasn’t in my nature to react like that. But if you know you have an unhealthy style attachment you can’t make excuses for yourself. Just like if you know you’re a chaser you can’t chase people and make them love and get them to understand what they are probably not ready to see or feel. I've sent him fearful avoidant videos and tarot videos, he knows the score! He sent me a clip from a tv series with a man saying to a woman when they love someone they can't be what they need. I don't need anything though except for him to show up for meetings. Who else would put up with someone cancelling over and over for years and still text them for months after he stopped texting back? He makes problems that aren't there.
I ran thinking they were just like anybody else, then they kept popping in my head & causing inexplicable pain. I do love my person unconditionally, and they do have avoidant attachment traits who seems closed off from emotions and I have libran with anxious attachment traits who needs communication and expression of feelings. It took a while to figure it out, after the third ghosting. I intuitively understand, without my person telling me, that there must have been family issues in addition to cultural issues which pishposhes the validity of emotional expression. This softened my heart even more for her. My love is steadfast, unchanging. It doesn’t mean that I tolerate low vibe behavior. But it is possible to love someone unconditionally while not being happy with their behavior. I’ll stop there.
I get what you're saying about avoidants. It's tough. Because I know I'm dealing with someone who is incapable of loving me and yet I can't walk away and it hurts. As someone who’s been anxious attachment all my life. I ended up ghosting and trying to avoid an exboyfriend I was dating at the time. It made me understand the dynamic of an avoidant and even my divine masculine . I never thought I could do it to someone I cared for but it happened some way. Doesn’t mean my intention was to push them away I wasn’t able to have difficult conversations or be vulnerable. Sometimes someone pushing you to do that can be hard to verbalize and articulate yourself. I can’t imagine pushing someone away and it’s automatically like second nature. I remember when I started ghosting my exboyfriend I actually felt relieved but I felt a little bad because it wasn’t in my nature to react like that. But if you know you have an unhealthy style attachment you can’t make excuses for yourself. I do have unconditional love for him and I do understand why he ran. I long ago forgave him because I understand all about childhood wounding. I provide hm with empathy and do my best not to push, but to be a safe place to land. We talked early on and he has been through a lot of hurt and abuse as a child. Somewhere along the way he never experienced true love so the love he felt for me and from me scared him because of the intensity. He also had karma to pay. He has a much healthier now and I know we will have the talk with confessions and hopefully get back together.

I've sent him fearful avoidant videos and tarot videos, he knows the score! He sent me a clip from a tv series with a man saying to a woman when they love someone they can't be what they need. I don't need anything though except for him to show up for meetings.
