Yeah I agree, those two things are the only things that really annoy me in this years game, otherwise I love it. But I think they fucked the transfers up because of the release clauses. They are waaaaaayy to low so you can buy any player you want and the AI those that. Plus there really seems to be a bug that some teams put stars on their transfer list. You wouldn't believe who was on sale in my ML... And the challenge mode really doesn't add much more. I won't get sacked because I'm doing well and that is fine (no point in sacking then^^) but I thought it would be hard to buy players (some really just don't want to come especially if you play a lower league team and I like that) but in most cases if you are a more or less good team you can get anyone without real problems. Plus I also had only 1 injury in about 2 seasons which is ridiculous. And the injury was for about 2-3 weeks. If Konami fixes these issues (and player switching, this game would/will be great!
ara phat The pre season is available in the second season because you start ML at a point you're already passed them, so that's fine. Cosmetics are good with a patch (I use PesGalaxy atm). The gameplay is the best I've seen so far in a football game (except the player switching which will be patched, they confirmed that). The part I agree with you about ist that the stuff that I mentioned in my previous comment, and also little things that would take one developer one day to do, should just be implemented correctly in the game and I don't know how they managed to fuck that up. I mean someone had to test it and how did he not realise that the transfers and release clauses are broke?! Now because of that I said it's a good game if those broke things are fixed because other than that it's a good game (especially gameplay).
For some reason, pre-season is only available for certain teams.. basically, there is a pre-season tournament, konami decided on which teams will play in it.. and only if you choose one of those do you get to play it. If, like me, you chose a team which konami didn't choose, you don't get to play any pre-season games at all.

Isco and James to Barca, Salah Mane and Coutinho to Real and then seriously bad free agents are going to big clubs. Liverpool sold Can to west Ham and Lallana to Milan and bought 38 year old esteban Cambiasso....

Like many i was hoping FIFA 18 was changed but unfortunately the heavily scripting within the gameplay , players turning like skips in sand , the defense is a joke EA Sports concentrated on attack and now defenders just run out of position and usually the AI attack can simply run straight down the middle because your defenders have parted leaving a massive gap like Moses split the Red sea or something . Then on top of the poor robotic gameplay and movement of players we have default face central lol ,how many more years will EA Sports ignore Serie A , Bundesliga and La Liga faces ? With the resources EA Sports has compared to Konami they should be doing alot more yes ? FIFA 18 is a better FIFA than it's previous titles but suffers from the same problems as usual .
Regarding PES 18 , goalkeepers have been dramatically changed in PES 17 they were non existent , they make realistic unreal saves .The AI are alot better , player emotion is a difference just watch player emotion on player faces it's really pleasing it's like the players are alive , in FIFA their robotic no emotion whatsoever . Yes PES 18 hasn't changed that much but what Konami have changed has improved the game from last year and that's a huge plus for me or anyone playing it .
Craig Barlow I play both pes and fifa. Sure Fifa UT is for rat kids and the gameplay is fast, unrealistic and shit. But this year i see a good improvement of the cpu offline, a more intelligent Attacking AI... in Pes too, the cpu attacks better...Im playing a career mode with accrington, a small team of the EFL league two, changing some sliders and slow velocity, and its more funny for me than Fifa 17 offline. This year I like both games offline more than last year. Pes need to fix somethings with the patch Konami are working in, but Im happy with Fifa offline too, really different from shit UT casino mode.
Yep Ultimate Team is for the FIFA kids , i always use sliders in career mode as FIFA on default is awful but doesn't matter how much you change the sliders the robotic gameplay of FIFA is always there . I don't enjoy FIFA anymore , PES 18 is so much better and I've been a FIFA fan not fanboy for years but slowly over the years i've grown to less like FIFA , like i said FIFA 18 has it's moments but nothing to PES 18 gameplay and gameplay is 100% more important than presentation which FIFA does really well .

He shouldn't struggle too much, he is one of the best teams on the game.. i started mine on Superstar and manual controls with Cremonese and my team spirit was 32.
i hate when players make their Master Leagues unrealistic by purchasing players they would never be able to buy in the real world.. Keep PES Master League realistic
The defending this year is awful players that your not controlling stand around and do nothing so the opposition always gets behind while ai defending on superstar can be almost impossible to break down which at times is fine when it's a good team but you find yourself being dominated by the smaller teams iswell which is annoying
Was just watching this to compare the Ai on pes 18 & 19 the ai is sooo much better on pes 18 it's embarrassing and this was moreless when the first come out this video just shows how much they have messed up pes 19

You might of skipped it in the "setting up part" but i noticed you didn't set any "man marking" on your defenders???
Go to edit and make your formation and tactic and then start ML, team spirit should be above 80 and that is going to be playable on superstar!

I don't think you need to tweak the A.I. this year. Superstar is pretty tough. Legend is like God mode.
