She is so perfect .. I remember watching her win live on tv way back in 1998 .. Even though that day Miss India could not make it to the top 5 .Still being an Indian I was very happy that a deserving candidate was crowned Miss Universe 1998. Good wishes to Miss Universe 1998 and cheers 👍 to a job really well done as a Miss Universe Ambassador..❤️ from India 🇮🇳

It’s amazing a woman born in a different decade on the same place where a friend and mentor of mine was born, still exhibit on point similarities. Educationally, excellent.

Shame on Wendy for making Gabriella relax her beautiful natural hair to be in her pageant. Talking about professional. Who say black women relaxing their hair is professional? Black hair is beautiful. No one should be forced to relax their black African hair. Shame! Shame! Shame! Too colonialise. Allyuh see the 5 pageants for 2019? Yessssss all black women rocking their natural hair and they were not forced to relax their hair to be in these international pageants. Professionalism is not the texture of the hair. Wendy, I hope you read this and apologies to all blacks who are wearing their naturally-born African hair. You should not talk to women because you want us to change ourselves to favour another race. African Hair ROCKS!!!!!!!

In my mind Wendy is a failure and as a figure of influence, especially for young women, a great disappointment. I say this because in this interview she described her son as a child of this age, she was so right! She fell for that Western developed country, foreign influenced social experiment of the 1970's, continuing towards the end of the century and a little into the 21st century, which hailed certain ideas of feminism and the women's Liberation movement, as the way society should go. Namely, that the educated and sophiscated woman could do it all, head up a single parent household and do so successfully and marriage should be abandoned for all time. This construct destroyed so much and was negative for women and the children of these resulting CASUAL unions. It downgraded the societal support system and status which the marriage provided.
Since then prevailing ideas and theories of this experiment has turned 360 degrees because family and psychological studies, along with real life case studies have shown that deliberately designed single parenting, to not be successful. Children's developmental emotional needs requires the stability of the FATHER figure from birth to adult; the entire lifetime! The provision of such a stabilising structure has ALWAYS been found in the TRADITIONAL marriage relationship. It should not be anti-feminist to recognise that men and women do need each other and that, contrary to feminist theories, marriage is a key pillar of stability for both sexes and especially for children. It is the GOLD STANDARD of which successful parenting outcomes are measured and no matter how we rebel against it society will always dictate this is the ideal structure. To go against that family construct, is to be marginalised in many different forms.
Lastly in my mind, all Wendy has done is to entrench the view in popular culture, society and community that black women and especially the dark skinned ones, are the least desirable and less likely to be sought after as a marriage partner. In essence and again studies done in the United States have shown, that black women are disproportionately unmarried and less desired for marriage as compared to women of other ethnic groups.

She has a very strong Indian accent. Almost like Sushmita Sen. Which is not a bad thing.

Indian accent? Interesting. But that's definitely Trinidadian accent, reflecting a certain part of the island.

How indiscreet and insensitive some people are. One would expect a man of God to conduct himself in a different manner. Ailan was brought into this world for a purpose and he is no worse off than anyone else. Good luck to both of you.
