Inside the Groves School Wrexham 26th Jan 2016

We were given access to the Groves School, we had not prepared ourselves for the condition it is now in. The place has been vandalised and stripped of lead and copper, with lots of water ingress. There was only a small section of the school we were allowed to enter due to the dangerous conditions in parts of the building, ceilings were collapsing and some areas had exposed asbestos which prevented our access. We must thank Wrexham Councils Assets and Economic Development department for arranging the visit, in particular Stephen and Simon for arranging the visit and Aled who showed us around.
The decision to demolish the Grove Park School was past by WCBC on 3rd February 2016
